Hindi puputok ang bulkan na puro steam vents. Kaya pumuputok ang bulkan dahil kulang sa vent naiipon ang pressure sa ilalim kaya sa bibig ng bulkan lumalabas yung pressure. Yung mt. Makiling sa laguna bulkan yan kaya madaming hot springs sa pansol. Madami lang syang steam vents kaya naging dormant na.
Dapat itong scientists na barreto ang maging trending at hindi yong mga nag aaway na mga mag kakapatid

Second, sinasabi mo na dinadala niya ang New Zealand, of course, she does, in, fact, her research will go on to be included in the list of New Zealand's scientific achievements pero hindi nangagahulugan na para sa New Zealand lang yon. When scientists work, they form linkages and exchange findings globally. Ang bawat nadidiskubre ay nagiging contribution yan sa buong scientific community ng buong mundo .
When Dr. Barretto found the Apolaki Caldera, it was shared with the UP Marine Science Institute. Bakit ginagawa niya yon, dahil yon ang indication na hindi doon natatapos ang pag-aaral sa Apolaki. It means it's an invitation to Filipino geologists, marine geophysicists and other scientific experts from different countries to usher future researches.
So why again do we need to be proud of Dr. Barretto, even if she's now part of the New Zealand research team, it is because her past, present and future works will be linked continuously with the scientific community in the Philippines. By the way, Dr. Barretto is a member of the Geological Society of the Philippines. It doesn't say that being there in a foreign country, would meant severing her ties with the Philippines and the Philippine scientific community.

did you read the whole video or just speculating. It was clearly noted that there's volcanic basalt (deposits).
Clearly it's not an expert views, let's say it's a speculation. But if we check most volcanic caldera known we'll find out that it's very rare for a nearly perfect circle caldera especially on that magnitude. You could imagine if it's indeed an impact crater of some tens of kilometers in size meteorite, it could unleash tsunamis kilometers high, doomsday of the dinos.

How calderas form:
Calderas form when A large eruption drains a part of the magma chamber This causes the rock to collapse To form a hole
Examples of calderas:
Taal: Taal was likely once a large volcano its eruption was dated 1-6m years ago
Pinatubo: on june of 1991 this volcano Erupted violently After being dormant for 600 years, this eruption was the 2nd largest eruption of the 20th century.
