I have been travelling for 40 years and watching TH-cam travel videos for many years. This video is by far the best I've ever seen. I try to travel in carryon only with about the same number of items you recommend but have never gotten them coordinated with the same style and sophistication! I am 87 and English. I wear this type of clothing every summer but I add colour. Have green, red, dark torquoise Italian knit cardi-jackets. Always feel comfortable wherever I go.
Beautiful outfits. As a European I would suggest wearing the cross body bag under your jacket, has been known for bag straps to be cut off the wearer, when distracted or in busy packed locations. Not a nice thing, but unfortunately a fact of life. Enjoy your trip.

I just got back from Italy, and I wanted to say how much this video helped me get ready for it. Of course, I shopped my closet, first - like you always remind us. I did get the layering tanks, the black cardigan, the denim jacket, beige blazer, trench coat, the black travel dress, ballet flats and the scarf. :) Everyone in my tour group kept telling me how stylish I was! We definitely had fluctuating weather. Thanks so much your guidance!

Very chic yet comfortable and tastefully casual. Many travel videos I’ve watched have featured outfits that are quite “sloppy” looking, more suited to what you would wear around the house where no one can see you. This proves you can take excursions and still look good without looking like an obvious tourist.
First time watching your channel. I liked your quiet manner of presentation. Such a pleasant change to some of the more extroverted and loud bloggers.

I second your idea of buying a scarf at one of your destinations! I used to buy souvenirs that languished in drawers and on shelves. But now I buy an accessory that "speaks" of the place I am, and every time I wear it, it reminds me of the days I spent there. They make great conversation pieces, too! I have a cork crossbody bag from Portugal, espadrilles from Spain, a vintage, one-of-a-kind pair of earrings from Italy, a pearl necklace from Tahiti, bracelets from Nepal...they joy they have brought me throughout the years cannot be rivaled by any tchotchke that I could've put on the wall!

I don't wear scarves or accessories but in Italy even I wore a scarf! Perfect suggestions.
I am not a scarf person either… But both tour guide said that scarves are very appropriate for Italy. So I’m with you on that!

Just found your channel last week. This is the only way I would travel in Italy. A beautiful capsule wardrobe for that country. If you make the effort to dress well when you are in Europe it changes the whole experience.

I can’t even imagine my wardrobe without lots of linen. Made fireproof us southern gals.
I love my linen fabrics. Shirts and pants and dresses… I love them all. I just don’t understand all the pushback about the wrinkles.
I don’t know about Italy, but I would like to share my experience in Paris where I spent one month last October. Most locals wore puffer jackets, jeans and sneakers during the day. The tourists stood out for me because they wore blazers, dresses, high heels, long skirts, knee high boots, etc.
I saw the locals dressing up more for dinners out, otherwise they were pretty casual during the day. Great video!!!

Linen, silk, cotton and other breathable fabrics are so wonderful for travel because they don’t trap sweat and odors like most synthetic fibers do. I found a small, dual voltage portable steamer on Amazon that I brought on my recent trip to France, and it came in very handy. It didn’t take up much room in my suitcase, and was quick and easy to use.
A quick steam will release wrinkles and freshen up clothes so they can be worn more than one day.
Hi, do you mind to share the brand name and style please. I got a couple from Target and Cotsco, but they didn't do a good job and the second one was heavy. 🌹🌸🏵

I don’t think I can post links on TH-cam, so I just copied the complete name. It is harder to find dual voltage travel steamers, so this was a good find. It was also inexpensive, around $27. It might not last forever, but it gets the job done for now.
I have a sturdier steamer that I use for home, this one is just for travel.

What a great video! We will be in Italy for 3 weeks in only carry-on luggage, so this really gave me some direction in clothing choices. All outfits are beautiful and I love that you are only using 2 pair of easy to pack shoes.
I would definitely be checking the weather first. I would bring modest clothes out of respect for the Churches and Holy Sites I would be visiting. Although I'm a big scarf wearer, buying a scarf in Italy is a great idea! I'm manifesting Italy for next year 😊

I love your overall looks, very smart and elegant. I always travel with athletic shoes, everybody wears them now. Also I take a very luxurious small leather backpack because I want to be able to hide my purchases in it and be hands free. I'm buying the trench coat, it flows so freely snd has a slight satin sheen. Gorgeous! 😊

Another genius way to add to scarf on trench coat, is to loop the scarf on the epaulettes of the trench coat, reducing the inner layers visually. Otherwise, everything is exquisite.
