Fun-fact: In real life C-130s can land on super carriers; in 1963 a USMC KC-130F Hercules successfully performed 21 full-stop landings and takeoffs onboard the USS Forrestal (CV-59). The idea was to use the Hercules to replenish the carriers while at sea, but the procedure was deemed too risky for routine operations and the C-2 Greyhound was developed instead.
