Hello my friend welcome to my TH-cam family. I am ever so happy you like my content if ever you have any questions feel free to drop me a message and I will do my best to help you in any way I can
How do you not have 100's of thousands of subscribers? You're absolutely amazing!!! I've never been more inspired and am currently watching all of your videos from the first to the most recent and I'm only a quarter of the way through. I have a request....if you haven't done so already, if you could do a video on how you edit your images, that would be great! If not, that's okay. :) I just love what you do. You're art and your words of encouragement have seriously pulled me out of my funk. Thank you!!
I tried this today, but I couldn’t get the water drop to stay… so, I’m back to watch again… I’ll try again tomorrow. Thanks so much for a great video Lee.
Bless don’t give in I promise you when I first started off doing these I was totally rubbish at them but once I mastered it and learned from my mistakes it was easy after that I know you can do it
attempted this today... turned out OK for a few 1000 attempts.. My wife wont be happy i used most of the milk... water drop was a struggle.. love you videos mate.. love your approach to the images and techniques... youre a good man Lee.. keep it up - Dave - Australia
Hi Dave thank you ever so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message. Trust me if your wife is anything like my wife I end up going to the shops to get a new bottle of milk before she kills me lha ha ha. I am so glad you are enjoying my videos. If at any time you get stuck feel free to drop me a message
@@LeeHallphotography Thanks Lee.. I use extension tubes, I just struggle wit the image (focus) and then the colours from the flash... I will keep playing around though.... I got milk before the wife came home so still in the good books
Good man. She will never know hahaha. You will find the more you do the better the pictures will come out just keep trying different things and it will all come together. I must have taken over a hundred pictures before I started getting what I wanted.
thanks, Lee, for this video! I tried this last year with studio lights but found I had to put the paper right in the water in order to get the reflection. I really must learn how to use a flash!
Thank you buddy its hard sometimes to keep it there but with each video it gets stronger a d stronger plus I am loving the video editing side of it now as well
This is awesome and pretty simple to accomplish. Really goin to try this when there are dandelions around again. In the meantime I can start eating some Pringle’s 😝🙈
Your tutorial was awesome! Your instructions are simple and easy to understand. You’ve inspired me to try macro. First thing I’ll be doing is going out to collect dandelions. ☺️
Great detail. I can't wait to try it, but here in Canada I still have two feet of snow in my yard so I'm a couple of months away from getting dandelion seeds. This year I'll be collecting and storing them for next winter's projects. I'm loving your new website (donated) and I think I'll be ordering one of those great shirts.
Your a star my friend I really appreciate and love all your comments and support you give me it really really does mean a lot to me please stay safe and enjoy your photography and don't forget if ever you get stuck just ask me please
Thoroughly enjoying your tutorials 😁 Had another go at this, but having problems getting a nice reflection…maybe not enough milk in my mixture 🤔. Ah well practice, practice, practice 😊
Stunning images Lee. I went on the hunt for a dandelion today😂i found only 3 within a 5 kilometer radius, so I was delighted. Going to have great fun with this, thank you so much for making this video👏👏😊
I love this video. I have some truly amazing photos, but I can't get my shadow to the side. I think I'm creating a reflection as opposed to a shadow. I do love the photos though and I get some amazing colours, just wish I could alter the shadow/reflection. Can't thank you enough.
Thanks Lee. I tried this and was amazed at the results. I need a longer Pringles tube - I cut mine too short, and I need to bend the background card more. I learned these two things when I watched this a 2nd time as my images were good for a first try, but not as good as yours. Fantastic stuff, and really simply explained (and I understand the accent as it's very local!)
lovely results Lee, what I have found is the medical use syringes are hydrophobic, the water drop wants to be anywhere rather than on the needle tip, I struggled for years using eye droppers and the like
Hi my friend my camera doesn’t have a built in flash. So I can only use the off camera flash. I do use it a lot but mainly when I am bouncing light for my water droplets or insect photography so I can freeze the subject
Beautiful! I tried this last year and it turned out good, but I wasn’t be able to get the colors in the milk with the colored backgrounds when I used the flash. I worked around it by bending the paper over the milk and shoot with natural light. I think the problem was in the paper that I used, it was’t reflective, it was normal paper. So I give it a try again one of these days when I get my hand on some of that shiny paper. Love how it turned out, also with the editing! Have a nice evening, greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thank you for spending the time to watch and send me this lovely message. I have put a link up to some off the backgrounds I use Tey are the same ones I used in the video they are perfect for this type of photography
Hi my friend brilliant question 🤔 I really did have to think about it. You know I never give it a thought about trying it in the dark to see what happens. I do it in the dark when I use a flash light to put on my background so I will definitely try this and let you know 👍📸👍📸
