Seriously, do you guys know how special you are, Ive been watching from the start and love watching each weekend. Your content is original, unique and with Bennys music so magical. Keep up the good work, I really appreciate the hard work and dedication you guys put into these vlogs. Thank you ....
The wife would like to thank you for all of the different video's she has dementia and is so grateful so different and just loves Ben's music . Happy trails
I just love following your story and mastery of your development. Your ready acceptance of whatever crosses your path is inspirational and the answer to a peaceful life. No unnecessary fretting. Splendid.
There is something wholesome about your life styles? of course I am including Alen or is it Alann? The Haunting Music on a misty day on the cut! always enjoy the flogs OR IS IT VLOGS?, I am on the Oxford it's kool. I GIVE YOU A SHOUT AND WAVE WHEN YOU PASS!
I'm so envious of your lifestyle. Being able to earn money from where you are yet live a laid back lifestyle, kind of like camping in a way but with an oversize caravan.
Poor Benny can hardly get a bite to eat of lunch before Field Marshal Emily cracks the whip lol. Looks like you guys are busier than ever with having two boats now. The adventure continues!
I'm always a bit sad when I see over 7K views and only 1.3 K like....how hard is it to click the like button? 😑 Ben, Emily and Alan are my favourite folk on TH-cam.
@@shirleygreaves9650 If on a desktop put the site on the bookmarks bar. Then it's there, just click on it and find the one you want to see. Also, fix it so you will see in "notifications" when a new one comes in.
I particularly loved the music this time, it felt floaty and autumnal. Your way of life on the boat, now boats, looks idyllic, but day to day you must be making plans for the next day, week, month, which can all change overnight due to weather conditions, work deadlines and so on. And boats need constant attention. It's not an easy lifestyle by any means. Stay warm. Hope you find a nice winter berth. Love, Nick.
Hi Ben and Emily The camera gives some great detail. Ben appears to handle the new boat well. Emily handled the locks with confidence, she must be proud.
Will u be able to tow rambler ? I can’t help but feel the two boats gives u less time together and a lot more work … always enjoy you video and look forward to ur each week . 🐈 🎶 🍂 🚤
So if you're wintering on the Oxford canal, maybe you will intersect with my other fave narrowboat vlog. You could team up for a Ben and Emily and May episode!
You wanted to know more about Alvecote, so the marina, boatyard and The James Brindley pub are owned by Malcolm Burge, who has a particular interest in historic boats, encouraging the owners to moor there. South Midland boats are his too. He also owns the house and dry dock at Grendon.
Love your weekly updates, I find myself wondering about the meals you make. Have you thought of compiling your recipes into a cookbook? I’m sure many people would love to try some of the delicious looking meals you make.
Hello guys. Great work on the locks and working with 2 boats must be hard work. Ben's music reminds me of music I would hear as a kid in the 70s. Filfy fumbs up rippers.
You both did fantastic doing the locks by yourself.i always look forward to watching your videos.Love Benny's music.so missed Alan this week give her a cuddle from me.Have a lovely week all three of you.😺🎄🎄
Benny and Emily save fuel tow the little Rambler. Ive towed a 60ft butty no problem locks no problem. Suggest cross lines onto to the Rambler very close my thoughts best of luck Love Bennys music reminds early Beatles love and peace friends xxx
Lovely vlog, I hope you’re managing to keep warm during the current snowy/icy spell of weather that we are having. Lovely kingfisher footage. Stay safe and warm. X
It looks like Benny's getting Rambler tamed as much as possible - the lock entry was perfect - can't do much about strong wind - and is there an issue running in reverse then - spearing into the bank ? Gearing ? Alvecote Historic Boat Gathering ? & Pooley Hall ?
alvecote marina there is a boat yard opposite a friend of mine works there on historic narrowboats wood bashing no tin.. in fact you have seen one of their boats at stoke museum that emily went to boats called Dane
Always enjoy watching your Vlog. For the rambler look into a dolphin tail it either clamps or bolts on the lower end of the motor and it’s supposed to help you in maneuvering. I pay Stan what they say the benefits are. BENEFITS 3x the Steering Control 2x the Turn Rate 3x the Effective Rudder Area Exceptional Tracking in Windy and Turbulent Conditions
I have been watching you guys for a while. Love Alan! I have cats so it fascinates me she is so comfortable with the different places. Also music is 👏👏👏 im assuming all music is yours? Anyway if so ill be buying the digital album just super chilled! You have a great voice and vibe. Love love! Keep up the good work lovely people 🫶🏼🫶🏼❤
You could con us that that was a masterful swerve there, Ben! I'll honest, I expected you to hit something at least and you breezed straight in, brownie points my lad!!
I went to the benedict ruins today. Was cool. Access over the bridge after alvecote (you said it right) marina. Was also surrounded by obvious signs of sleeping rough. Which was sad.
Hi Ben and Emily just watched your video you both do very well with the locks I always look forward to your weekly catch up and your music Ben is very chill out Emily I spotted the kingfisher and that magnificent willow tree stay safe both of you and take care and Allen 👍✌️🌹
love watching you two, reminds me of my time living on the canals when I was a little younger. Now I am living in Thailand but watch your videos every week. Now here it's 01.30 and watching with joy thank you so much..😊
My only trip abroad (home in Michigan USA) was in 1998 when a friend rented a very long narrow boat in Northern England and we spent 10 days going to Chester and back. Your episode today reminded me of the security deposit we paid for losing a lock key
Strong wind plus trees: avoid at all cost when mooring 😂 Well done at the locks single handed, fellow boaters will be patient. Lovely music by Benny! You both look into the camera so well, it really feels like you are talking to me (and all other viewers 😂)
Awww you both did great on those locks lovely scenery and peaceful music what more could we wish for many thanks hi to Alan too luv from us oldies tc 👍👍🌟🌟🤗🤗🤗
I love watching you go through the canals and the you always film beautifully. You two are so very conscientious and have genuine concern of each other on maneuvering separate vessels. Gosh, love carries you two through.
I’m so confused how the locks work! 🤔 Any chance you could include a brief description in one of your videos one day? Thanks heaps for sharing your adventures!!
Have a super winter mooring. Will miss having a chat and shopping with you in Tesco's, Ellesmere 😊. Big hugs from The Martineers magnet fishing group..... also on TH-cam ❤
Hi guys, I live near the Tame Otter and used to live in Fazeley, so it was great to watch this episode. You vlogs are a perfect Sunday morning hangover cure, Bennys music is so soothing. Have been with you from the start, keep it up
Yet another great vlog. Could I please make a request for a future topic? I'm struggling to get a decent sourdough loaf, would it be possible for Benny to explain feeding his starter and making a loaf. Many thanks.
I love watching your channel. I think of all the thousands of people who have used the canals before you. We don't have them here in the US or at least I am not aware of any. I hope you guys keep doing what you love.
Absolutely love your videos and look forward to the weekend. Emily did you know that there's this man in a funny looking boat following you wherever you go.😂😂
The most impeccably dressed boaters on the cut .was wondering what do you both do for a living do you work from your boat if so what skills trade's do you have would be a great video for other people concidering boat life
Whilst watching I feel I am Ben and Emily's child. Please keep sending us poor lost children the message of hope from the navigation so our simple human life can grow in love.
The outboard motor gear shift should have detents that you can feel for the shift positions and neutral. You have to adjust the linkage so that the middle position is neutral. If no detents are there you can mark neutral position and adjust the linkage to work from the neutral mark to get fwd and reverse.
Look forward to your vlogs, so interesting. Love little Rambler, but cant you tow her as a butty and save on pertol and extra licence fees, you could always tow to locks and pull her through, as she is so light . Loved Bennies 360 turn, she just kept going round. :) Well handled guys and missed Alan on this vlog. x
Love love love love u guys .doing all I am too scared to ,but I live my dream though you.was listening to bingo on Spotify have quite a few songs on fav,s ,chills me rigntout.
In Ky., U.S. A, we tend to have severe storms......tornadoes. Since the outbreak of 1974. Google it. Before that, we just almost NEVER had them. I pray a lot for everybody when the warnings go out.
Its when you use the Drone to do the aerial shots of both canal boats chugging along with the scenery , you do get a brilliant birds eye view of how Ben and Emily are doing . Its certainly not easy - doing locks on your own . The autumn colours are nice - was this filmed recently in the last week or early to mid november ? Query to ask Ben and Emily , which drone do you use DJI Mini Pro 3 ? Also where did Benny get his hat - as I would like to buy something like that for a dear friend ? Many thanks from Will ( Zomerset )
🎶 Benny's NEW ALBUM is out NOW!! Order your copy here! - bennyjones.bandcamp.com/album/rarer-forms-of-wandering
Listened to a little of it on Amazon Music the other day
Benny, your Evolution video is RAD! That is some pretty creative stuff! 😂
I'm here 9.30pm listening 2 these two falling asleep
It's absolutely soothing
lLoved the track 16(i think) mins in
Please think about releasing this album on vinyl, wow it would be so so good. The sound and vibe would be amazing.
Bennie you’re so good humoured and kind ….wish there was more chaps like you xxxx
Seriously, do you guys know how special you are, Ive been watching from the start and love watching each weekend. Your content is original, unique and with Bennys music so magical. Keep up the good work, I really appreciate the hard work and dedication you guys put into these vlogs. Thank you ....
knowing these 2 hobbits are in the world makes me feel calm and happy..x
I agree, 2 wonderful hobbits and their wonderful journeys.
'Journey so Vast' is absolutely sublime. The most beautiful song I've heard for quite some time. Thank you!
The wife would like to thank you for all of the different video's she has dementia and is so grateful so different and just loves Ben's music . Happy trails
Benny’s music is such a wonderful accompaniment to your footage.
'They meant it's. Good
Benny, the king of the canal donuts 💛🥯💛
Well done people.

Exactly, there are quite a few canal boat vloggers but Ben and Emily are my go to couple.
Sometimes I watch the same vlog several times but I can’t hit like several times, maybe that’s why?!

Sorry for my mistake, the name of the pub is The Samuel Barlow.

The gothic house that Emily was looking at was the home of musician Edwin Star up until his recent passing. Famed for the song "War".
Nice 360 Benny. Thanks for the map Emily, not being from UK it's sometimes hard to work out where you are. Good to see Alan working hard

Great job on the locks.
That video just flew by,I loved the music in the background.
That was a very relaxing episode for me if not for you. So good to have my weekly fix of family when I'm so far away. Love, Papa xxxx😅
You could con us that that was a masterful swerve there, Ben! I'll honest, I expected you to hit something at least and you breezed straight in, brownie points my lad!!
You are both so good at just going for it, well done with those locks ❤❤❤
I went to the benedict ruins today. Was cool. Access over the bridge after alvecote (you said it right) marina.

Especially connecting to the Norfolk broads.
Have a super winter mooring. Will miss having a chat and shopping with you in Tesco's, Ellesmere 😊. Big hugs from The Martineers magnet fishing group..... also on TH-cam ❤

The bottom lock at Glascote locks has been slow for as long as I can remember, it always creates a queue.
great content, love the little boat. keep up the good work and stay safe
Question. Do you hand catch your drone or land on the roof of your boat? Love your aerial shots, their great.
Emily driving the bigger beast, great job gal!
I had a tree fall on me a year and 5 months ago. Not fun. I'm happy I live and the tree died.🙃
I've heard that David's (CruisingTheCut) new boat also has the technology to glide sideways gracefully down the Cut too.
Don't know about you Benny but that 360 made ME dizzy - and I'm just sitting in an armchair!
The Music
Look forward to your vlogs, so interesting. Saw Amy and Wes (Boat Time) cruise past you on the vlog they posted yesterday
Omg where you turned around i could see the houses where my sons live 😂

Just want the Doctor ordered on a Saturday night, thick of snow and ice here, glass of red wine and a bit of B and E.
It must be difficult adapting to two boats! Hang in there😁
I'm always surprised at the boats deteriorating in the canals. Isn't that an issue of pollution for the water?
Could use them for a garden, if they were minimally safe. Which i guess they might not be.
England looks much prettier from the inside from the canal prospective rather than from the regular street view
