    It was lovely to hear your thoughts, though sad to see the pain you are in. Like so many of us, it may seem that the pandemic has snatched your life’s work, your passion from you. This shall pass. Have faith. There are blessings in each storm. I live in the UK and discovered you because of lockdown! One day, I will travel to see you perform live. I already bought your Bach Album. Take it as encouragement that you will not lose ground during lockdown. When the world unlocks, there will be the need for recovery, yes, but there will also be a celebration of the things that make life good; family, friends, music, art. We look forward to celebrating with you. Glad that you have health. Your bond and communication is so rare and special. You are like a two-headed Angel at the piano. When we get through this, your audience will be waiting, and larger than before. Get ready.

    What a wonderful, insightful interview: it reveals the maturity of both brothers, each in his own unique way. These two are high on the list of the most humanly lovable artists playing for the public today. Cannot wait until they are able to come to the USA!

    When I listen to somebody play a musical instrument I can usually tell right away what kind of people they are. I first met you through your music. This is the second time I hear you talk.. You're spontaneous and you talk from the heart, and that's why you guys are such great pianists, musicians.. One can hear in your interpretations the heart talking, singing, expressing its self through your fingers and through the instrument, as well ... We'll get over this dramatic period, don't worry... This is all necessary for our world to change; we cannot continue to live the way we have lived on this planet so far... The world will be a much better place after this (global crisis, not only coronavirus but everything that's happening)... Everything has to change, the economy, the political system, the way we consume, the way we interact... The planet, the universe, God, whatever you wanna call it, is shaking us.. it is literally forcing us to change... Less materialism, less individualism, less hatred, less violence, less division... Our world needs Love .. lots of it to get cured! ... And that can only come from the heart ... Let's use our creative abilities to find new ways to do things; to do what we love doing, to change our world ... Thanks for sharing your talent and your music with us! ...

    Maybe its Dutch, maybe its the brothers, but their family feeling, their understanding of the importance of community, is beautiful and in America , a rare thing.

    I've never had the oportunity to be in one of your concerts, I would like to let you know that I feel magical moments in your interpretations, as musician I know how important is to feel the audience but I see this moment as an oportunity because even when I've never been there with you, I feel you very close.

    Delightful. It's interesting that Arthur seems, to me at least, to defer to his older brother.

    You miss being with your people. Of course. And that is most definitely you. And so - know that there are so many many more who love being with you on the screen - because they cannot - like me - manage any other way. Our lives are so blessed. Never - ever give up. Remember - someone on here mentioned the word Horowitz. And as you say Arthur - there's a blast. Go for it .

    Especially, thank you for the subtitles. Is it safe to record during this period? It is selfish that I ask; I have long since run out of new Jussen brothers recordings, even when heard several times. I am adding, in the gaps, old volumes by Rubinstein and Horowitz.
    [Could there be a compliment in that?]
    When COVID passes, as it will, you will have a new issue: how to schedule the pent up concert audiences. Be well and thrive.

    Someday, this plandemic will blow over, lockdowns and masks will be lifted, even five feet apart will have distanced itself into being nothing more than a nuisance of the past. Concert halls will be filled again, and when they do, the good old coughing fits and sneeze attacks will return, throats will be cleared, snot pulled up again, and in between these sorely missed sounds, people will revel in the music once more, brought to them by these affable brothers. They're raring to go. So are we.

    Well, I discovered you, Lucas & Arthur Jussen, in the pandemic, because I had more time to spend on TH-cam and was thinking of learning to play the piano. Reading the other comments, I see that I am not the only one who has become a fan and a follower on TH-cam during this time. Thanks for doing this interview. I hope sometime you'll offer a TH-cam interview or discussion in English about your lives and music. I just assume that as well-educated Dutchmen your English

    Please - in the days ahead - you will have a special place. This is going to take time. But you will have your place - and be so needed. There are already nearly 40,000 dead in the UK alone. In just 9 weeks. You can make so big a difference.

    Schade , daß ich nicht holländisch verstehe . Möchte sehr gerne wissen was diese wunderbaren Pianisten erzählen .
    Ich bin eine grosse Verehrerin von den Beiden . Sie bereichern sehr die klassische Musikszene .

    Cute but seriously overrated as pianists

    • @lexkaldenberg7420
      @lexkaldenberg7420 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's one thing to express an opinion about performers, it is entirely another thing to call them overrated. Leaving aside the question about the value of expert reviews, there have been many great expert reviews of the performances and recordings of these Jussen brothers. Are all those reviews worthless? ''Overrated'' implies that certain positive opinions, just because they don't correspond with your own, can be disgarded as being untrue. Do you really think your opinion is more true? Of course you are entirely free to express your opinion, but my point is that you seem to disvalue other ones.
