The wolf is a symbol of the Roman republic. The eye of Horus is an Egyptian symbol representing the conquest of Egypt as the turning point of Rome from a republic to an empire
month32 well he lived so many life times I don't think death held any fear for him,It still seem strange that we have a charture in warhammer 40k who is both a world war one trooper, and Christian,Not a bad thing though,I love it when they link warhammer 40k with our time
Idk, maybe a Tau end times video. Since the lore really skip over their version of the end times, unless its gaining the full attention of the Imperium of man. Maybe the Flesh Tearers chapter.
John Childs Yes the Tau end times where I Inquisitor Thomas of the Ordo Interneticus go on crusade in Tau space, destroying both Tau and Farsight enclave worlds until The Heretical Tau Psycher and I have a final duel on board his Craftworld and I come out the winner then proceed to get eaten by Gazghul or something because "FUCK THE END TIMES" -Arch Warhammer
ARCH is pretty awesome and I think he is just really worried that GW would hit the reset button on 40k. I meant more on the line of what the Tau version of the end times would look like. Not the actually end times to the 40k universe themselves. Because the other factions have their end times situations. Necrons reclaim their kingdoms with the return of the silent king or are re enslaved to the ctan. The nids eat everything or are beaten back. ORKZ rampage non stop or are beat back to the point of 30k. eldar/dark eldar is something of a new god being born or being eaten by slaanesh. then the main story line of chaos vs Imperium of man.
Uhhmm, the Mournival WAS NOT Horus' honour guard. They were an informal group of advisers, each of different temperament, and their job was to keep Horus in touch with the prevalent feeling within the Legion (to some extent they acted as Horus' conscience and kept him grounded). The Justinaerian Terminators, headed by Falkus 'the Widowmaker' Kibre' (who later joined the Mourinval) was Horus' bodyguard/honourgurad when such things were needed. Like your work, and not trying to pick it apart, but the role of the Mournival was a pretty big thing. And yes, i am certain someone has already mentioned this but i can't be arsed going through all the comments to check. Please, keep up the great work. Oh, any chance that you can do the Iron Warriors soon? PLEASE!?
kane tully fair point, well made. I did know that, I guess I just worded it badly or had a brain malfunction when making the script, so my apologies, no need to apologise on your end for being correct. I can't promise when I'll get to the Iron Warriors, but they're in the plan and I'll see about ensuring they're not last or anything
i just didn't want to come across as a nitpicking jerk (i also may've read the Horus Heresy novels WAY too many times, but i'll admit nothing). Eh, we all make mistakes, so it's not the end of the world, and scripting nearly half an hours worth of continuous dialogue has to be anything but easy. Cheers: appreciated. Have a soft spot for the traitor Legions that didn't overtly turn to Chaos as explaining their downfall requires more than just 'corrupted by daemonic influences' and their stories tend to be quite tragic (giving them more depth). Thanks.
The Justinaerian was led by abaddon right? and Falkus Kibre when Abaddon wasnt arround. Iacton Cruz was know as the half heard because of his ramblings, and sited old ways, and age
I’m sorry to have to nitpick too, Mr Tully- I also have read the novels a ridiculous number of times- so saying, the Terminators led by Kibre were “Justaerin”, not “Justinaerian”- but you are completely correct about the Mournival being Horus’ conscience and sounding board- just so we are all just nitpicking in the spirit of being correct about the lore we all love, and not attacking each other out of being mean- I don’t want any part of that. I always appreciate when someone corrects any errors I’ve made, as well! Thanks, all- and to Michael especially, for putting out such well-written and well-researched lore.
Tactica Imperialis Anything and everything Chaos legions pre, during and post the Horus Herasy like you have done with the Lunar Wolves. All the HQ's in the codex would be great also as l play these guys it would be great knowing more on their lore. 👍
I've covered Lucius, Khârn, Ahriman, Typhus Abaddon and Bile already and we're heading to Badab to cover Huron very soon, and I'm going to get through every Legion in this series, so I think I've got all that!
I'm suprised a TAU like you is able to access those records involving the Horus Heresy and Great Crusade. The Imperium barely has any knowledge of that stuff still and the only reason I know about it is due to the fact that I'm a perpetual. But anyways, need some help with the Craft World still? I kinda have nowhere to go. :3
Pyroskies he broke into the Inquisition records vault, hence why I am hunting the Tau across the galaxy, also I apparently gave him psychic powers, I don't exactly recall that but I do remember accidentally spilling coffee on a vortex grenade while a Tau was in a prison cell.
you said Torgaddon recommended Loken to the mournival, but in your Abaddon video you said you said it was he who did so. Could you clarify please. Great background series really enjoying it
spudroc303 did I? Hm, I had forgotten that. Without reading Horus Rising again, I could not tell you for sure, but I would suggest that Torgaddon was the one to recommend Loken. Glad you're enjoying the series!
Actually, he was recommended by Rogal Dorn, also! Horus was looking to replace Hastur Sejanus, and asked his brother’s advice- whereupon Dorn, in typical Dorn fashion, read the entire personnel reports of every single one of the possible replacements.
Hastur was a member of the Mournival who had the place that Loken did, he was very close to Horus and was considered to be his favourite son as they often fought together along with training and battle planning. He was sort of like what Kharn was to Angron, an equerry and close friend. He was killed in the middle of the great crusade. When the Luna Wolves reached 63/19 he was given command of the diplomats sent to talk to the planet's rulers, however a misstep in diplomacy resulted in the entire squad being gunned down by the bodyguards of the world's leader. This had a large effect on Horus and caused him to be more susceptible to his fall to chaos later on.
Talos K, he didn't need special chaos juice, he just out duelled everyone. THAT is why Abaddon got warp charged BEFORE he fought Sigismund, because he would have lost otherwise.
King Baldwin IV because the black templar will suffer not the unclean to live.... Sigismund was a badass hence why he was known as the emperors champion and wielded the black sword...abaddon is a pussy ass bitch who was afraid of him
Very informative. Don't know why these guys think you're a treacherous hieratic that sleeps with tau, but hey, if we team up to fight some tyranids that is all fine and good
pretty sure erebus didnt mention fuck all about primarxhs being made with the warp...lol he straight up just showed horus the future hed create by committing heresy, while lying and telling him that its the future the emperor wants.
Oh yeah, I know. But without Abaddon, it's often thought they'd fracture and fall apart. Plus their name comes from Abaddon's perception of their shame with what happened to them, so whilst it may be more negative than it could have been I stand by what I said.
Yes, it was the case after great crusade, but as Abbadon had prospered and grew in power, so did the Black Legion. An uneducated listener might think that tale of the legion might be technically over due to grim conclusion made, but in w40k, this is most successful if not the most successful chapter of any space marines legion as a whole.
Oh..............So they are not WARTHOGS!!! The Moon is not tusks, and its a Wolf n Moon. All my World is now Chaos n Crushed. Should of been told! Thrown!!!.........What!? its actually Throne not Thrown......Well I'm now undone!
Semantics. How do you call aliens from another reality with godlike powers? Right, gods. If God would exist, we could call him an alien from another reality. These beings have a serious effect on the the Materium. If you let them, that is.
The wolf is a symbol of the Roman republic. The eye of Horus is an Egyptian symbol representing the conquest of Egypt as the turning point of Rome from a republic to an empire
“I was there the day Horus slew the Emperor.”-Garviel Loken
I was never a Son of Horus. I was and remain a Luna Wolf. A proud son of Cthonia, a loyal servant of the Emperor, beloved by all. I am your enemy.
Saint Olanius Pius was the man that stalled Horus. His balls where of such titanic proportions that none had such big ones since or before.
month32 well he lived so many life times I don't think death held any fear for him,It still seem strange that we have a charture in warhammer 40k who is both a world war one trooper, and Christian,Not a bad thing though,I love it when they link warhammer 40k with our time
Thank you for doing a Video on the Luna wolves/sons of Horus.
Glad you enjoyed it. Any requests for future videos?

Oh you meant the Tau's endgame, not the end times? As in what they're working towards, what would happen if they "won"?
An Ork almost choked the Emperor to death?!
but his plot amour saved him
It was a mechanical beast of an ork, the hight of a Warhound titan.
now I know why people say the shoulder pads are over sized

Awesome video man! keep it up!
Keep up the great work man really good stuff
A fantastic video, really enjoyed it thank you. Looking forward to your next one, keep up the great work. 👍👍
Tyson Gardner glad you enjoyed it, any requests going forward?

Pyroskies you bring up a good point.
Pyroskies he broke into the Inquisition records vault, hence why I am hunting the Tau across the galaxy, also I apparently gave him psychic powers, I don't exactly recall that but I do remember accidentally spilling coffee on a vortex grenade while a Tau was in a prison cell.
I know right. I swear Fyodor deliberately left him behind to annoy the rest of us.
Elenorefangirl hey!!! That's only partially true!
Sure it is
Hell yes. LUPERCAL!
His Favoured Son TRAITOR!
horus is worse than erebus lol
j rok Horus was misled by Erebus. He was a Good Warmaster and Person but unfortunately Erebus and Lorgar misguided him.
you said Torgaddon recommended Loken to the mournival, but in your Abaddon video you said you said it was he who did so. Could you clarify please. Great background series really enjoying it

Torgaddon reccomended captain lokan, but then Abbadon seconded his reccomendation after Lokans antics on 6319, taking the false emperor down
Poor tarik...
Awesome work
Question how likely am i to trigger someone painting up a 40k space marine army as luna wolvs ?
Awesome stuff :D
Great!
Left with a question, Who was Hastur Sejanus and why was Horus so bromantic with him?
Hastur was a member of the Mournival who had the place that Loken did, he was very close to Horus and was considered to be his favourite son as they often fought together along with training and battle planning. He was sort of like what Kharn was to Angron, an equerry and close friend. He was killed in the middle of the great crusade. What book has Horus going into the warp coming back aged? I need to know. Not the serpent lodge time.
old sigsmund fights abaddon equally with just power amour.
Talos K, that is because Sigismund was a MAN.
sigismund is the best
Talos K, he didn't need special chaos juice, he just out duelled everyone.
THAT is why Abaddon got warp charged BEFORE he fought Sigismund, because he would have lost otherwise.
King Baldwin IV because the black templar will suffer not the unclean to live....

ulysses ilg go and watch Monday's video, that will clear things up for you. Glad you enjoyed the video
Tactica Imperialis hey what happened to the equerry of the primarch?
Ultramarines PLZ.
pretty sure erebus didnt mention fuck all about primarxhs being made with the warp...lol he straight up just showed horus the future hed create by committing heresy, while lying and telling him that its the future the emperor wants.
Wolven Fenryka, Luna Wolves...whos the wolfest of the two legions?
You pronounce Abaddon correctly 👌🤟
I am Abbadon
Hi thanyou 4this one the best one year here is a 40k theories you may like to do (what wood of happened if horus had excepted daemonhood)
An interesting one, I don't know if there is enough for a full theory but I will try and raise it on the podcast!
Thanyou
What kind of conclusion was that? Black legion nowadays is massive, most influential and feared out of all legions.
Oh yeah, I know. But without Abaddon, it's often thought they'd fracture and fall apart. Plus their name comes from Abaddon's perception of their shame with what happened to them, so whilst it may be more negative than it could have been I stand by what I said.

REgamesplayer well of at least the traitor legions
Horus was badass
Oh..............So they are not WARTHOGS!!! The Moon is not tusks, and its a Wolf n Moon. All my World is now Chaos n Crushed. Should of been told! Thrown!!!.........What!? its actually Throne not Thrown......Well I'm now undone!
I've never seen the beings in the warp as true gods and demons,I just view them as Aliens from another reality,
Semantics. How do you call aliens from another reality with godlike powers? Right, gods. If God would exist, we could call him an alien from another reality. These beings have a serious effect on the the Materium. If you let them, that is.
I'm sorry. I love series, listen to ALL. But 'ashume' ashumed are NOT English words. 😕
That's my pronunciation, nothing more. Glad you enjoy the series!
