- MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir played many great innings together for India. Against Pakistan A at Nairobi Gymkhana Ground in 2004, they scored 207 runs in 2nd wicket partnership. This was the only time they recorded 200+ runs partnership.
Here's the Exclusive Footage of that fantastic partnership, built on 16th August 2004 in the Nairobi Triangular Series. Both the Centurions Gambhir and Dhoni batted brilliantly in order to clinch a huge victory against the Archrivals.

1-India became world T20 champions in 2007 under MS captaincy and Gambhir was the highest run scorer from the Indian side in that tournament.
2-India won the CB series in Aus in 2008 under MS captaincy and GG was the highest run scorer in that series.
3- India became the Test No1 team under MS in 2009 and GG was the ICC test player of the year in that year.
4-India won the Asia cup in 2010 under MS and GG was the highest run scorer for India.
5-India won the World cup in 2011 under MS and GG was the second highest run scorer for India after Sachin.
I always love GG and MSD chemistry on and off the field despite of several controversial rumours.

The reason sometimes GG makes such so called controversial statements is people don't know about all this you wrote. Even I didn't. I only know he was the highest scorer in t20 WC final and 2011 WC final. Really he was massively underrated and didn't get the credit he totally deserved. May be because social media wasn't present those days and the only one that is highlighted is the captain. You will never get match winners like GG and Yuvi in the same team repeatedly. The whole 2011 WC winning team was a legendary one

@@sammyrocks3633glad you mentioned Yuvi too, when we lost to NZ in league stage match in 2007 T20 world cup, the upcoming matches for us was Do or Die, the way Yuvi batted against Eng and Aus was phenomenal. I was 9 years old back then and knew these two matches will be remembered for decades to come.
And that 2011 world cup team was truly something else, they were emotion❤️

We will never have such a team of three match winning finishers in Dhoni , Yuvi and Raina who can anchor in case of a collapse to explosive batting in death overs. They can do everything. If two fail then the other one will do it. The whole team contributed in winning the WC. It was so good full of match winners starting from Viru, Sachin, Virat, Gauti to the three finishers at the end with Harbhajan possessing explosive batting abilities too. That team will always remain the iconic one

I had watched this match India A vs Pak A in 2004 as a child. Was wondering why this guy (Dhoni) is still not in the Indian team. Gambhir already made his debut for India by then.. In 2003 Bangladesh tour.
