Absolutely, We must integrate positive infrastructure starting by pooling our knowledge with no political degradation or monetary gains for a strong foundation. Stunting the evolution of humankind is the highest form of treason. We are all Earthlings and should act accordingly as far as sharing a planet based home structure, at least as dictated on a universal scale our parasitic governments are on the smallest order of magnitude and it is up to we the people as a whole of this planet to project our path in a more benevolent manner than what has befallen us.

We are involved in numerous sanction wars with many other countries that do not want to play our game any more. Our sanctions are pushing these countries into the arms of the Chinese and the Russians. This is our shame that we have elected personalities with no platforms and have played into the hands of the Military Industrial Complex and starts these wasteful wars on our credit cards. In the federal government, the president is behind the revolt against keeping Americans safe by inciting people to revolt against that which was intended to protect them. America is being led by a spiteful, narcissistic, sociopath and he is destroying our democracy. He has divided the country and causing chaos. Thank you DN for continuing to cover this situation on Lakota Sioux lands in SD. My ancestor, Running Antelope was one of the signers of the Ft Laramie Treaty of 1868 and I'm enrolled in the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. The Sioux (Oceti Sakowin) homelands were originally 3 times the size and included all of North and South Dakota, parts of Wyoming, Nebraska and Montana. The amount of lands where Lakota people live by treaty rights have shrunk due to the discovery of gold in the Black Hills in the late 1800's and the original lands have been reduced to the reservations because of the railroads and continued expansion of the U.S. The reservations today are some of the poorest places in the U.S. Low employment and underfunding of the IHS -Indian Health Service mean that they can't handle a high number of potential Covid-19 patients. Gov Noem chose not to lockdown SD and there have been several outbreaks in the general population. This is an ongoing issue with Gov. Noem who has repeatedly tried to enact legislation against the Lakota Sioux in people in SD to infringe on their 1st Amendment rights to gather and protest the KXL oil pipelines she wants to build across reservation lands. The ACLU has repeatedly had to act on behalf of the tribes to guarantee their Constitutional rights as U.S. citizens. Instead of taking care if the rest if the population in South Dakota, she is focusing her time and energy into her battle with their tribes who are attempting to care for their own communities. Imo, Noem has a vendetta against the tribes and people who stand in the way of her agenda. She's willing to sacrifice the lives of people on the reservations who are U.S. citizens in order to further her agenda to trample Treaty rights, the rights of Native American citizens and line her pockets with oil corporation money despite the fact that other SD legislators have informed Noem that she has no legal ground to enforce her demands on tribal land.

If Chairman Frazier is doing this I am certain that it must be necessary and that he talked about this at length with the entire community first. I was invited to Lakota country near Eagle Butte SD last summer to help organize against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). I Though they are an amazing and very resilient community, people are very vulnerable and isolated out there. Many are in poor health, most are quite poor and their healthcare resources are limited. Thus one infected person could wreak havoc on their whole community. Worse, they know from experience that they can't count on outside help if that happens.
    Blessings to all Lakota people

I'm pretty sure that Native land has some control of their own land. I know Navajo land in AZ has its own law enforcement and a lot of other controls. Besides, doesn't the state want to spend less money controlling the virus?

There must be some monetary reason the Governor wants their Land open, whatever it is it's sickening.

They are letting traffic through. They are just tracking people who actually are going into their land and keeping a eye on those coming from hot spots. They are Sovereign and this is their right. The Governor is trying the smallpox blanket move and is criminal.

Since the tribals are a sovereign foreign nation it should be legal to enagage them.

I agree with the Sioux. The roads belong to them and their people are vulnerable.
The governor should be supporting them not harassing them!
