So I live in the South..110° Temps...my hot water heater literally burst and flooded my laundry room, part of my kitchen and my entire garage...so I was kinda forced to get it cleaned and sorted out. I'm SO happy that I did even though I thought I was going die of a heat stoke several times. It took me 6 days going all day it looked VERY similar to yours...but I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your dirty secret! 😂 I agree 100% when you are creative, busy and raising a family it happens! Drives my husband with military background CRAZY!! but he loves me anyway 😂 I have adult ADD have had it for years and take meds for it....it controls some of the chaos...but since my upcycling isn't priority it gets a hot mess quickly!! Thanks again for sharing the real life with us. 😍

I have a single car garage that hasn’t had a car parked in it for yrs. I am in the process of putting my craft room on the back wall. I call it MY ORGANIZED CLUTTER. If some have commented on it I have welcomed them to help clean/organize at anytime … 😂

You have motivated me to clean out my shed! We creative people get engrossed in projects and it's hard to slow down long enough to put things in their proper place. A few weeks ago, after a big kitchen cabinet painting project, my craft/tool closet was like one of those closets you see on cartoons where they open the door and a big mountain of stuff falls out on them. People who don't understand why artists are messy don't have brains that are constantly thinking up imaginative ideas.

😍Thank you for sharing this video. I cannot even walk through my garage or get to half of the tools I need. Half way through organizing my storage unit but I cannot sell my up cycled goods in my Booth fast enough for the amount of inventory I have. Nice to know other folks struggle with the "hoarding" issue.
It’s a common problem. We are lucky to have the barn at the shop. It’s a 4 car garage so we have some space.

It feels so good once it is finished!! For 6 months my hoarding overtook the garage. Cleaned and finished projects and never again. It is packed around the walls but we can park two vehicles in!!
I moved over three months ago and still haven't been able to park my car in the garage. As I've always said your a lucky man Zeb having Jami but you already know that 😊 x
I have dreams of a garage clean out happening at our house but since my husband made the mess and he’s a very disorganized person it will probably never happen. It’s a thing!
Just take is slow. I’m super disorganized. And we just go little by little. When I don’t know I fill buckets and hand them to Zeb so I can clean

I'm on holiday in England visiting my family. My dil took me to three charity shops this morning and I bought some amazing things. Unfortunately its all smallish items as I have to fly back home to South Africa. If I was a resident in Salisbury I would have bought a lot more, the antique, mcm furniture that was available was amazing. 😊
My garage looks just like yours did. Hopefully watching this will motivate me to clean it out so that I can get my vehicle back in the garage.

Jami, I LITERALLY have a FULL 2 car garage, 2 - 8x10 storages, 1 - 10x10 storage & 1 8x24ft storage, ALL FULL!! I just had an art studio built & am going to start a TH-cam channel! I'll Never run out of inventory! THANK YOU JAMI & ZEB for all the years of teaching. I've learned so much especially repairs. THANK YOU 🫶🏽🫂

We moved after 55years in the same home. We did give aways garage sales and garbage day. It felt so good to not be paying to move extra stuff!! You can do this.
Arrrg! So overwhelming to get started. My basement is the dumping ground for all those things on the border …you know, the stuff you need within a week of finally getting rid of! It does feel good to make progress though. Good job you two…it’s part of a busy, creative life.

We are moving to NC next week and we've been donating, throwing out and giving away stuff. Hopefully, our next house will be organized. I didn't realize how much stuff we had and never used or looked at! I am feeling the stress level go down with every box packed.

I was taking a cool off break from organizing my inventory room that has crept into the rest of the house (boarding on hoarder house) when I watched you guys cleaning. I didn’t cry. But that might have been because I was dehydrated because it was hot and I had no tears. But I did go into a manic cleaning frenzy. I have to clean while I’m motivated. Because most of the time I’m fine with the mess lol

Um this made me laugh so much! I love crafting so that’s why I follow this page. I laughed because my garage looks so much like yours. LOL, I do agree, though, I’ve been finding all kinds of things I forgot I had. The hardest thing to organize has been my She-Shed. It was a work in progress but it’s about 95% complete. You are both very blessed to have each other to work together. Yes we all have a mess somewhere. My husband is big into garage sales so his shop is full and a mess.
We have a two car garage filled with tools, projects overflow food and small appliances from the kitchen, even and old piano that never found its way back into the house after a flooring install. My dream to get everything out and do a whole storage makeover. Not happening anytime soon! And I'm not odd man out in the neighborhood. The only people with an organized garage is the retired couple.

Looks like my husbands garage 😂. I go and organize, and it only takes him maybe 3 days to go back to the way it was. But, with my organizing, we find things he has been looking for, so I do help😂😂

No garage here, but I do have a 12X14 yard barn I haven't pulled anything out in years. My future projects are in our living room, dining room and spare bedroom. Let me tell you. The kids left home. I have a room upstairs filled with furniture and other projects that started spilling over into other rooms upstairs. Then my daughter announced she was coming home from Utah where she goes to college. Talk about doing the hustle. I managed to get all the furniture moved. Organized. And some painted. Sold or moved to my flea market booth. Just so you know. You have been inspiring me for a long time. Thank you.

Use a leaf blower and blow sawdust out the door. Start at the ceiling work down.
We used the air hose. But when I say saw dust everywhere some place it was inches thick. So we had to sweep it 😂😂

Zebs way into cars. In fact he drives my car more than me because we only use his truck for dump runs and to tow and haul. I always tell people he has two cars and sometimes he lets me drive one😂😂😂. He works so hard I just let him buy whatever and I come sign the papers with him
The struggle is real! I usually organize stuff first and hit everything with the leaf blower 🌬️ I'm not a fan of sweeping plus far enough back even dust on the shelving flies out.

It’s so hard. But just keep plugging along. For months I have been picking away at the bulk of our projects knowing I was going to do this. Finally it got down to mostly things that were garbage or needed put up. That made it lots easier.

I felt overwhelmed by my garage & the accumulated junk/stuff. I ordered some shelves & big laundry bags. Then i spent a couple of days assembling shelves, sorting stuff into bags etc. Its nowhere near finished but its a start & at 65 its enough for now. Small steps are still progress, dont let it get to you x
N.b. Dan, Escape to the château uses a leaf blower to clear his "man glitter".
