OMG!! That's my guy! I met this brother when he use to manage Yung Joc, when I worked for P.Diddy. He's the real deal. One of a kind! One of the best ppl I met in the music biz. Thank you Producergrind for this. I need to reconnect with brother ASAP!
I haven’t commented as much as I wanted to the past few days cuz I’ve been locked in so hard and using these interviews as a mental-break for 15-20 min between sessions . Man every single interview is so true and so important . Shout out to the whole producer grind team and all of your guests . I am starting to get consistent placements and these interviews sometimes r the only place I can go to find peers that I can relate to. Hope to earn my spot on that chair one day
Most content filled interviews I've seen, this is what the knowledge seekers needed. There's more quality information in this interview than most other channels entire catalogs. Raising the bar and killing the "vague advice" that's been oh so common among our community. Good shit mayne!
AMAZING! 🔥 I love this 💖 Rico seems like a great guy. I’m a producer/artist hoping to ‘make it’ one day., I feel like my job helps motivate me to work hard at producing. Because when I do have time to create, the fire is turned on and I feel the pressure to make good music
I love when you guys do interviews with the more behind the scenes people. You just get a different perspective. Rico Brooks seems like he’s very knowledgeable and I’d love to work with him
i know its late and i started watching these this year so i could already be late again but i am hoping in the future you guys can bring more duo (or group) producers to give insight on that dynamic i go solo but recently my computer crashed and ive kind of been forced into collaborating with new producers that i met and also homies that i know produce ive had one bad experience collabing and one good one where some good material came out but just to avoid that mistake i am wondering got some major gems from y'all preciate the work keep puttin these out
edit* my computer didn't crash my laptop has messed up memory/audio jack and the person i had issues working with we both used FL but the dude i made the fire with and things worked out used ableton when i wasn't familiar with it
Are producers not copyrighting beats because it's $55 to copyright 10 beats now or should we really feel safe by just having the project file? Why is copyright talked about in high regards, but then it's said not to be that important? I just want clarity.
Dope video, hella gems! 🚫🧢 I did have one question when Mr.Brooks said to that your beats will never really go anywhere if you don’t post them and and to have all of your files together to protect your material. Is he talking about copywriting it or signing up with bmi or ascap?
Hello, I took my son to his first producer grind event in Charlotte NC in 2017 and since then, he has really developed his skills as well connected with a lot of great producers thus far. A that particularly event he was able to perform a beat on the spot. I believe the producer at that time that was there was DJ Plug ( I’m remembering this only because I was outside waiting in the car ☺️ during the event). So now I would like to know if this isn’t currently being done, can you all do a workshop that’s geared to producers that will help train and prepare them for how/ when to select a manager and or a lawyer; how to promote their music; how to get their music aired on an independent radio station and what avenues to take when investing into their careers?
t im not selling my beats yet, but I was asking if so, and if they were signed to a major label or weren’t signed at all, would I give away my exclusive or a lease if they gave no advance??
@@kaynottibeats3872 I mean if they were to offer you no advance, you would want to negotiate something to compensate for that - be it more publishing, or more of the master.
t ok bet, I’m not sure if u are one of the members of ProducersGrind2.0 but I would love if y’all did an video on how to setup publishing and everything else I would need to have in place such as rights and royalties for independent producers that don’t want to sign any deals whether it be production, publishing, or distribution and want to start their own label
Love how Producergrind keeps pushing the bar with quality content 🙏🏼🔥

Great interview . Great Questions
How can producers copyright there beats with out a lawer or management??? N still get there royalty ?
Sty Beats Music u dont need to copyright your beats if you have the project file to the beat thats your protection right there
@@Producergrind That's true but still copyright. its very inexpensive to do
@@E_Da_SoundGod www.safecreative.org/
@@E_Da_SoundGod you're registering the copyright, the tracks are already protected when you release them to the "planet"
