Especially when these positions are so critical and stressful in everyday dealings with thousands of people, aircraft and continuous operations of meticulous scheduling.

Both sides of my family lived in South Bend and Lafayette for decades. My father went to Purdue University, and as a first-generation American, that makes me 2nd generation. My older sister was born in South Bend.
When I was a little girl, my Daddy taught me about bigotry and why it's horrible. I was 6 and will never forget his gentle and patient lessons.

The facility was understaffed due to DEI hiring quotas...it has been understaffed for 2 years.
Buttigieg is that cause of this catastrophe.
The facility where the FAA air traffic controllers were stationed required 30 employees, many of whom were air traffic controllers.
There were only 19 employees employed there.
Hundreds of qualified, competent applicants were turned away and denied employment by Pete Buttigieg because the Biden Administration had a DEI quota that had to be filled...the non-DEI applicants were turned away, leaving the tower understaffed.

All aviation incidents are complex and require serious investigation in order to avoid a repeat. The only thing any politician should say at this point is that it is a tragedy which will be fully investigated and to send condolences to all those bereaved and otherwise affected. Trump's remarks are abhorrent.

I switched on the tv 8 am in Greece. Saw this accident. Prayed someone, just one person be saved. It's so sad. Now families, friends will wait to see why this happened. But also remember those responsible for guiding the plane and helicopter to land, how they are feeling. It's not a pleasant job. Involves a lot of responsibilities.

It is NOT a fair question. It implies that UNQUALIFIED people were hired. DEI does NOT mean that people can be hired without proper credentials, training, and vetting. It means quite the opposite. DEI actually increases vetting criteria and work safety & productivity.
