Discover the wonders of Edinburgh in just three days with this comprehensive guide! Venture into the heart of Scotland's capital as we start Day 1 relishing a traditional Scottish breakfast at The Little Larder, followed by the historic splendor of the Edinburgh Castle and the lively bustle of the Royal Mile. Dive deep into the city's roots at the Museum of Edinburgh, get a taste of the underground at The Real Mary King’s Close, and cap off the day with fine dining at The Witchery by the Castle.
Day 2 kicks off at The Elephant House, known as the “birthplace of Harry Potter”. Dive into history and mystery with stops at the National Museum of Scotland and Greyfriars Kirkyard. Challenge yourself with a hike up Arthur's Seat and be rewarded with panoramic views before descending into the royal magnificence of Holyrood Palace. As night falls, experience local storytelling at its best and enjoy a scenic evening walk on the iconic Victoria Street.
Our final day showcases modern Edinburgh. Start with a brunch at Cairngorm Coffee Co., wander through the picturesque Dean Village, and experience the renewed vibrancy of the Leith district. The Royal Yacht Britannia and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art offer unique insights, while Stockbridge promises bohemian vibes. Finish your adventure with the culinary brilliance of Scran & Scallie and a tranquil stroll in the Royal Botanic Garden. Join me on this unforgettable journey, unlocking the magic of Edinburgh one stop at a time!

Interesting video but scenes of Holyrood Palace interspersed with footage of Linlithgow Palace which is several miles from Edinburgh.

Nicely done. Great to include the walking times between sites - Edinburgh is very accessible by foot. However, here are some observations in the event you re-edit video this at some point:
    - The sequencing of places is wonky.... For example, start at the museum, then cross the street to do lunch at the Elephant House (get a window seat), then see Greyfriars Bobby before entering Greyfriars Kirkyard. These are all - literally - seconds away from each other. The go down Candlemaker Row into the Grassmarket. Go around it and then up Victoria Street to get back onto the Royal Mile. That is five of the sites in a row, with the absolute minimum of walking (i.e., time consumed).
BTW, a few minutes beyond Greyfriars Bobby is the Meadow, an 80-acre green belt across which is Victor Hugo's for lunch, and to the upper right, fabulous Bruntsfield, a neighbourhood similar to Stockbridge.
    - Edinburgh is pronounced 'Edin-burr'. Many locals with lazy speaking say 'Embra'. It is never 'Edinberg', 'Edinburro' or anything else. Edinburr.
    - It is 'Holyrood' Palace, not 'Hollyrood'. Holyrood means Holy Cross. Prior to the palace there was Holyrood Abbey, the ruins of which remain adjacent to the palace (it collapsed due to faulty construction).
    - 7:37 - the narrative is about Holyrood Palace, the video is Linlithgow Palace in wonderful Linlithgow, about one hour drive from Holyrood Palace (best to take the train).
    - 8:23 - the narrative is about the Grassmarket, the video show Milnes Bar (aka Milnes on Rose Street), 13 minutes walk away on Rose Street in the New Town.
    - OINK is indicated as being on the High Street. There is also one on Victoria Street.
    - Aizle is indicated as a 9-minute drive from the Scottish Storytelling Centre. One doesn't drive in the city centre - it's a 20-minute walk.
    - The Scran & Scallie isn't 8-minutes' walk from the 'Stockbridge area' - it is in the heart of Stockbridge...which makes it a 20-minute walk from Dean Village.
    - The narrative about the art gallery ('Warhol, Hockney...') is that for the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, yet the video is that of the National Gallery of Modern Art (there are two, Modern One, Modern Two, across the street from each other on Belford Road, 15 minutes walk along the Water of Leith from Dean Village.
Still, a fine video. Thank you.

@@JR-nv4td Thank you. It appears in this 2023 video, so I thought it had reopened. I was last in Ednburgh in September 2022 and had hoped it an Patisserie Valerie would be up and running by now.

Read this comment by other user: "As you mispronounced Edinburgh many times I’m wondering just how familiar you really are with the city? Also, this is a current video release yet you show visiting The Elephant House cafe - - it’s been closed due to fire since 2021. These two items stood out but I did not fact check everything in your video. Hmmm".
      Am I right?

How much should we budget per day?

    • @WanderingWithPurpose
      @WanderingWithPurpose  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I would say 250 USD per person, per day, including attractions, a bit of light souvenier shopping and food, transportation, but not hotel. FIgure on about 350 USD per night for a moderate hotel.
      Thanks for watching!
