    Thank you for taking the time to record and post this video. What is the beach like and access to it? Seems it is a long walk to get there. I am finding it hard to get information on it.

      The beach was lovely but unfortunately there was a lot of seaweed when we were there. They do clear this with big vehicles as much as possible but we didn't swim at the time.
      We were only a five minute walk from the beachfront - we stayed in a suite with private pool (everything is walking distance) but if you struggle with the heat, mobility or you're further away, you can ask a buggy to drop you there :)

    Hi, I was wondering if it was easy for you guys to go from one resort to another? Looks beautiful

    • @seekandahoy

      Hello! From TRS Yucatan (adults only) you can easily walk a short way, or flag down a buggy and ride to the neighboring resorts (White Sands, Colonial, and Kantenah) in just minutes. You have free roam and access to all of their bars, restaurants and swimming pools from TRS. If you have any more questions please let me know! ❤️

    Where are the shops based that are shown please? Are they close to the hotel? ☺️

    • @seekandahoy
      @seekandahoy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shops in the area shown on the video are in Playa Del Carmen, which is about a 25 minute drive from the hotel. You can take a taxi from the hotel (expensive, about $70USD return), or you can take the local bus (a minibus) called a Collectivo, from across the road from the hotel (a few dollars each!) The hotel staff will help you take the Collectivo, and when returning the drivers know TRS well so you'll have no problem getting dropped off. Let me know if you have any more questions! ✈️

    I’m from UK and I’m travelling here next year. How much is the correct amount to tip? And how often should one tip the staff? Can anyone give me some advice because we don’t have a tip culture out here.

    • @seekandahoy
      @seekandahoy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We're also from the UK. (These are approx!) We usually tipped a couple of bucks for each drink, or $5 after drinking at the bar for a while. We tipped our housekeeping at the end of the week around $20, and we tipped our butler (who arranged dinner bookings etc) a little more than that. Tipping is not obligatory but obviously appreciated, especially if the staff are good (they were all excellent with us).

      Yes! You can access the beach when staying at the hotel :)

    Would you recommend TRS over the other Grand Palladium resorts that are connected?

    • @seekandahoy
      @seekandahoy  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I would! Not only is this hotel adults only which we preferred, but the food is unquestionably better than the other resorts both in quality and variety.

    • @seekandahoy
      @seekandahoy  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Also, as a TRS guest, you get access to all the connected resorts and their bars, restaurants and pools, whereas the TRS is off limits to those who are not staying there

    Hi! Traveling to TRS this week:) question, for the restaurants/food do you need to set reservations prior ?

    • @seekandahoy
      @seekandahoy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! For the a la carte dinner restaurants, yes, you need a reservation. You can do this with reception when you arrive, or with your butler in your room block. If you need anything else let me know :)

      how was it?

  • @lag2542
    @lag2542 ปีที่แล้ว

    How separated is the adults only section from the rest of the resort? I’ve gone to some adult only hotels on mixed resorts where only a small portion were adult only (1 hotel & 1 pool) and was very close to the family section. Is the adult only large enough and separated enough to enjoy for a 4 day trip?

    • @seekandahoy
      @seekandahoy  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's very much separate. The hotel grounds, at least two pools, and all the bars/restaurants within the TRS portion of the hotel are completely removed from the other connected resorts, so you can avoid any areas you'd rather not visit. We moved between resorts but spent most of our time in TRS and it was lovely. 7 days wasn't enough!

      @@xcolonel you can get drinks at the beach from the bar. I'm not sure if they come around and serve you, but you can go up to the counter.

    Hi, did you all fly into Cancun? How did you get to the resort from the airport?

    • @seekandahoy
      @seekandahoy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! We flew into Cancun airport. Because we booked a package with TUI it included a private transfer to the hotel from the airport, which took approx an hour.
