We're also from the UK. (These are approx!) We usually tipped a couple of bucks for each drink, or $5 after drinking at the bar for a while. We tipped our housekeeping at the end of the week around $20, and we tipped our butler (who arranged dinner bookings etc) a little more than that. Tipping is not obligatory but obviously appreciated, especially if the staff are good (they were all excellent with us).

The beach was lovely but unfortunately there was a lot of seaweed when we were there. They do clear this with big vehicles as much as possible but we didn't swim at the time. We were only a five minute walk from the beachfront - we stayed in a suite with private pool (everything is walking distance) but if you struggle with the heat, mobility or you're further away, you can ask a buggy to drop you there :)

Yes! You can access the beach when staying at the hotel :)

Hey! For the a la carte dinner restaurants, yes, you need a reservation. You can do this with reception when you arrive, or with your butler in your room block. If you need anything else let me know :)

how was it?

It's very much separate. The hotel grounds, at least two pools, and all the bars/restaurants within the TRS portion of the hotel are completely removed from the other connected resorts, so you can avoid any areas you'd rather not visit. We moved between resorts but spent most of our time in TRS and it was lovely. 7 days wasn't enough!

@@xcolonel you can get drinks at the beach from the bar. I'm not sure if they come around and serve you, but you can go up to the counter.

Yes! We flew into Cancun airport. Because we booked a package with TUI it included a private transfer to the hotel from the airport, which took approx an hour.

I would! Not only is this hotel adults only which we preferred, but the food is unquestionably better than the other resorts both in quality and variety.

Also, as a TRS guest, you get access to all the connected resorts and their bars, restaurants and pools, whereas the TRS is off limits to those who are not staying there

The shops in the area shown on the video are in Playa Del Carmen, which is about a 25 minute drive from the hotel. You can take a taxi from the hotel (expensive, about $70USD return), or you can take the local bus (a minibus) called a Collectivo, from across the road from the hotel (a few dollars each!) The hotel staff will help you take the Collectivo, and when returning the drivers know TRS well so you'll have no problem getting dropped off. Let me know if you have any more questions! ✈️

Hello! From TRS Yucatan (adults only) you can easily walk a short way, or flag down a buggy and ride to the neighboring resorts (White Sands, Colonial, and Kantenah) in just minutes. You have free roam and access to all of their bars, restaurants and swimming pools from TRS. If you have any more questions please let me know! ❤️

It was a little windy but it was very mild, you would need a hoodie or light jacket ☺️ the sun was always shining though, no rain at all.

Just have a few questions, is the pool in the bungalows heated? How warm is the water in the ocean? Asking because we love the Caribbean ocean and just concerned the Maldives May be much cooler. Thank you

The bungalow pool is not heated, but it does not need to be. The weather there is very hot. The water is warmed by the sun and the sea is also very warm! We did lots of snorkeling and scuba diving. You will not get cold!

Hi! Thank you for your comment ☺️ The Falhumaafushi island we stayed on was fully booked but it felt relatively quiet and very spacious as it is adults only. Digurah was more noisy and crowded, but the island is bigger, though I much preferred the quiet of Falhumaafushi island. They are connected by a bridge, so whichever island you stay on, you can cycle over and explore both islands freely! Upon arrival you are given a timetable of activities for the week ahead and there is always plenty to do, we stayed for 7 nights and I feel like I could have stayed for twice as long. The food is absolutely brilliant at all times of day, and the snorkelling is so beautiful! We saw fish, turtles, sharks, dolphins, eels and stingrays many times. I recommend the over-water villas, although they are more expensive, the view is worth it. Try to get one facing the sunset if you can, it is breathtaking. If you have any more questions, let me know ☺️

One more thing: I recommend the All Inclusive package. Not Premium All Inclusive- I felt for the price, you did not get much more (top shelf alcohol, etc, but the drinks on the Standard All Inclusive are just as good! Loads to choose from). I would not recommend staying here unless you go All Inclusive as the A La Carte menus etc are very expensive and I think you would end up spending more.

Sorry for the late response! Yes, the evening entertainment varies. They play live music, movies, barbecues and have beach parties maybe once a week. You can indeed dine on the other island! Just make sure you book a table before you head over if you're going to one of the nicer restaurants, as they get booked up early/are busy.

I hope you're going to love the resort! We booked our stay through a travel agent so the flight was arranged for us. The domestic flight from Male to the island was with Maldivian Airlines (or 'Maldivian Aero' it's also called). They did not weigh our luggage (in fact I don't recall them weighing anyone's luggage). In terms of suggestions for the resort: the snorkelling is absolutely fantastic and you can rent free equipment (snorkel, goggles and flippers) from the dive centre. Ask them for the best places to swim! If you like scuba diving, I highly recommend this also, and the jet-skis were fantastic (we were alongside a huge pod of dolphins!) The food and drink is divine and if you want to escape the heat, the Library Bar is quiet and air conditioned. Let me know if you have any more questions!
