    a few suggestions: place a piece of scrap copy paper between your layers and you don't have to worry about the alignment, for the cutting of the indents put it back into your punch board to punch the laminate

    What if you laminate two sheets of paper FIRST, then separate them and cut into squares and proceed as you started...?

    To save the problems of the lining up, you could put them either side of an A4 sheet of paper. I was waiting to try this out before I commented on the last video but now you have done this one Linda I think my idea would work too.

    What a great idea! (You could add a small dot of tape runner to join the two pieces of DSP to hold them in place when placing in the laminating folder.)

      Sherri Piechnik I was thinking the same thing but then I thought that the heat from the laminator may make the bond permanent or at least make it more difficult to remove. I guess the only way to know for sure is to experiment. :)

    Wonderful tutorial Linda and I really did enjoy it. I think it is a good idea to use retired stock for experimenting and confidence boosting how else is one supposed to use up old stock. I have seen quite a few demonstrators use retired stock in their card tutorials and I am all for it. Keep on crafting you are a very talented lady. I look forward to your next tutorial.

    Hi Linda, really enjoy your videos! You have such a lovely voice and your instructions are clear and concise! Wanted to ask a very big favor! I have 2 maybe 3 stampin up bigz favor box dies that I haven’t figured out how to put together! If you have the dies would you mind making a video show how to make them? I am a visual learner and really am lost with what I’ve found online! LOL I will completely understand if this isn’t possible. I’m sure there is a lot of preparation that goes into making videos. That isn’t something I have tackled to date! LOL
    Love your channel!

    Nail scissors are a great choice for small curves. To help with laminating, I use an A4 cutting mat and hang the fold of the pouch over the edge before placing the papers in. Then I just lift the mat and feed the edge into the machine, minimal movement

  • @kylieb4836
    @kylieb4836 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Maybe this will help, but it’s what I do with laminating pieces I don’t want to move inside the sheets.
    when lining up your pieces on the laminating sheet, place a sheet of heavy duty cardstock underneath the laminating sheet, leaving a gap of approx an inch at the top. This will not only make it easy to feed the sheet through the laminator, but also gives stability to the pieces you’ve placed on the laminating sheet. (You don’t actually feed the cardstock through the laminator. )

    I’m sorry but, she said that she was going use the 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 measurement. She was suppose to score on another measurement which stated on the board. The score line was not suppose to start at 2in, then 2 7/8. I saw this video and made the envelopes the way she said not the way she did it. My gift card is a bit bigger. Am I wrong? Or misunderstood what she explained? Please, someone explain to me what I could be doing wrong?

  • @VP-kr2vd
    @VP-kr2vd 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why would one be timid to use paper...it's paper, it has the same value (in my eyes) whether the paper pad no longer in stock or "new". Honestly, with all the designs that have been out for every brand the designs all get recycled anyways. Plaids, florals, shapes, etc...they all start repeating and looking very similar. This is why buy non branded paper pads so I am never afraid to cut into it cause it isn't overpriced paper.

  • @Kyomiibrown
    @Kyomiibrown 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Use 2 sheets of copier paper inbetween them. Also, if you don’t want the thick shine, try some matt laminating pouches, they really do leave a great finish, you can’t even tell they are laminated.
