Oddly enough I find your Lifestyle content so much fun to watch, even though the views aren’t as high as when you upload a beauty video. So please don’t stop the lifestyle videos, I LOVE THEM! 😍👍🏻
This is very interesting to watch. I'm not vegan but i have thought about going vegetarian for a little while now. It's super nice to see how respectful you are of everyone else's choices and thoughts, even if you stand by your ideas. Super refreshing!! This was very interesting to watch and im so happy that you aknowledge the risks that a vegan diet carries. Take care ♡♡♡
You eat really healthy and I admire the fact you make sure you hit all the vitamins and minerals etc your body needs well done because I'm know where near as healthy as I should be I like far too many sweet things
I'm glad these are back! I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I like eating healthy and I usually go a day or two a week without eating meat, so these are always fun and inspirational. Also, I think in America we call flat peaches "donut peaches" (how American of us, lol). And we would call the frozen pear treat a "popsicle" or "ice pop"--over here, ice cream usually means there's dairy involved. I'm not correcting you, I just always like learning what things are called in different places :)
i struggle with that too! i used to buy protein powder but i couldnt afford it anymore so i try to include more legumes, sometimes i made smoothies, brownies or sweet balls with them, that has helped me a little. If you want to increase your amount of protein maybe you could try including legumes in weird ways too 😂 it doesnt taste as weird as it sounds i promise 🌞🌸
Watching videos like this really inspire me to eat more nutritious, whole foods, and spend time to make myself healthier meals and snacks. PS I love that teapot!🌺
I started following you a few years ago because of your beauty tutorials, but I love your lifestyle videos as well! As a vegetarian transitioning to veganism, I really appreciate this video and your other food diary videos. 💜
I've been vegetarian for 6 years now and trying to ease my way into a vegan lifestyle (so far I don't eat dairy of any kind) and I've also cut gluten 2 years ago , but I'm struggling to give up eggs, especially when I'm pms (I guess it's protein related?) so this video is really helpful!!!!! 🤗
@Ashley Miranda. If you find someone with pet chickens, I don’t see why you can’t have eggs. They are unfertilised and a waste product and if no baby chicks are killed like in the egg industry, I don’t see the problem (I’m a vegan :-))
I've been watching your hair tutorials for a bit, but had not come across your food videos before. I didn't know you were also on a plant based diet and that you seem to also play D&D (dungeon masters guide reflected under the table haha)!
I really enjoy vegan "what I ate in a day" vids! Just a tip - calcium and zinc interfere with iron absorption, so to get more benefit from your supplements, maybe take the calcium and zinc supplement later in the day, maybe in the evening.
Things we have in common that I learned from this video: - use an app to check our macros and calories (I use Lifesum, but will look into what you're using) - need more protein - eat a mid-morning snack before lunch - prefer to cook meals at home, and generally make simple and easy meals - Lentils!!. Oh, I love lentils. - Carb-heavy diet (I need that because it's difficult for me to gain & maintain weight ) Okay, so I"m not the only one in this boat.
I find this so funny... After dealing with some digestive problems I realize that I wasn't eating enough fibers and proteins so now my breakfast consist on yogurt with oats and walnuts plus some seeds. I'm not a vegan but I do struggle with protein intake since the only meat that I eat is sea food
While im not a vegan, I do not eat red meat. Usually only egg layers. Lots of veggies and fruits and nuts. I dont drink soda and I dont drink coffee. Tea is preferred!
I love your What I eat in a day Videos. Can you maybe try to make some Low Budget Versions of this? I would love some inspiration and can only spend 30€ per week. Don't know why, but your videos always calm me down for a reason. So keep going on and lots of Love! ♡☺
Omg, I'm drinking the same tea while watching this video :D I haven't been drinking it for a few weeks, I kind of forgot about it, but today morning I was like "ohh, I should drink that delicious IKEA tea". Then I open up the latest Loepsie video to go with my breakfast and there you are drinking the same :D It's reeeeaaally good :)
Madeleine Olivia here on youtube makes a lot of vegan recipe videos and she has a few that focus really specifically on high protein vegan meals that you might like! (she’s also just super sweet and charming and I think you would like her in general)
I hadn't heard of that app - I've downloaded now to see what my own nutrition is like since lately I feel like I need to add more vitamins to my diet through food and not just supplements. Peaches are my favorite fruit too lol
*Not a dietician here* but the amino acid thing could be helped by having a second portion of a soy-based mock meat or alternative as soy is a ‘complete protein’. Usually the body doesn’t need all the amino acids at once but it’s probably good to make sure that you’re getting them all 😊
If you don’t already check out Unnatural Vegan on TH-cam! She dispels slot of vegan nutrition myths and is very pro protein. I really enjoyed this video, thanks for posting!
Loepsie, I think you should take your calcium and your multivitamin separately, because iron and calcium can't be absorbed together. I admire you for being vegan, I struggle so much!
@Martha Kalantzi. They do Alpro vegan soya yoghurts, plain or fruit ones. They also do a vegan honey I saw the other day (unsure of the brand). As for eggs, could you get some rescued pet chickens? Or find someone with pet chickens that they don’t kill for food? If there is no cockerel, they eggs will be unfertilised and still be laid, but unlike the egg industry, no baby chicks would be killed. The egg can be replaced with rubber eggs, no matter how long she sits on it, it wouldn’t hatch, so it would end up going off and being wasted anyway. I don’t see issues with vegans who use eggs from pet chickens, if they are struggling to give up eggs. You just need to take it slowly and change things as and when you can. I took about 4 years to give cheese up, despite being vegan in everything else. Don’t knock yourself either, being a vegetarian is a great thing also. :-)
Thank you so much for the disclaimer at the beginning! So many people have tried to tell me that I should go vegan because it is better for animals even though I am highly allergic to legumes and scoff when I tell them that I wont get enough protein if I did because I cant eat most vegan proteins (about 80% of what you ate protein-wise would give me anaphylaxis). Its nice to hear someone point out the difficulties in getting protein with a vegan (or even vegetarian diet).
The thing with the bread over here in the US is that it's full of sugar. (Everything is.) Which gets converted to fat and messes with our hormones. It's primarily what bloats people up and why we have such a high obesity problem. However, if you're not working out and not a vegan...I think people need to not be so heavy on their protein intake. That also can contribute to gaining weight. Getting it naturally is fine (in moderation) but I really think all these protein shakes and stuff is a marketing ploy. Unless you're a body builder, one doesn't need them. And yeah, I think people are way too afraid of carbs these days. The Keto diet for instance does make people lose weight drastically, but it also takes from your muscles. (And you're heart is a muscle.) So, with heart disease being so prevalent in the US, the Keto diet can be dangerous. Anyway, that's my 2 cents on nutrition. You're diet I think is very well balanced Loepsie! :)
The recommendation for protein is roughly 0.8-2.2 grams per KG of body weight, with different needs dependant on lifestyle. However, it is pretty common to see people change this to per pound of weight, which is not needed.
In America we do have bread without added sugar, but you have to be aware of it and check the label. For some reason in America we sneak sugar into anything we can. Our regular cheap sandwich bread would taste sweet to a European. Personally I really have to watch out for sugar and carbs in general because I have pcos so keto has been life-changing for both my menstrual cycle and my acne :)
@Green Snail Yeah, like 95% of our breads over here have sugar in it I assume because it's to preserve it. Which is why sugar is in everything, to preserve it. (Which I find funny because the US throws out 1/3 of the food we produce either by ourselves or the stores do at the end of the "day". I put "day in quotes because a lot of stores over here are 24/7.) If you want a decent bread with less sugar you have to go to the special bakery section. I do that now and usually buy the "European" kind. Which is like double the price of a regular loaf of bread.
Ok, so I got the app you use. I’m vegan and looking at the chart I’ve always got low protein. I can reduce my carb intake, but no matter what I eat it doesn’t seem to push the protein up. Any suggestions? I’ve have literally been constantly hungry and gained lots of weight since going vegan 14 years ago. I was really skinny as a vegetarian, guess the low protein is why I’m always so hungry!!
Try adding more legumes, soy and mock meats! If you really struggle with this, having a protein shake each day is always an option. I like pea protein powder myself but there are other options out there
@Loepsie. Ah thanks. A protein shake may me a good idea. I try not to have too much soya due to the high estrogen content. I do have legumes, but on the app, it appeared to not have lots of protein either. I think shakes may be the answer. Thankyou!
Hey, ik eet ook vegan! Waar haal jij je cruesli en van welk merk? Want ik kan die soort alleen met honing vinden. Ik neem nu muesli, maar vind dat niet zo lekker als degene die jij eet.
About iron, you wont benefit from iron supplements, if you take them with anything that has calcium of caffeine in it. A two-hour gap after and before calcium/caffeine is ok.

I am not vegan but I have a hard time getting my protein in too.

@Anna Stedman. I’m always hungry as a vegan too.
Just a notice, paté is originally made from liver, not just any leftovers from an animal.
So is it a non-vegetarian food?
