I love this game have since it started.
You have to spend either ammo or heat
If you find a female toon, rename them Reb Sonja and find them a bird mech like a Shadow Hawk. Anything with full jump capability, max armor and high heat rejection for reliable target elimination
I used that exact built through to the late game in my recent campaign run to prepare me for this, loved it, so yeah I'll get around to getting a shadow hawk at some point, I should be able to add you around #10 or so, maybe a bit sooner. Welcome aboard!

Preferred mech: Marauder MAD-3R (or 2R if available) - ideally with a Gauss Rifle if available, alternatively a set of (U)AC2s will do. Main focus is on tactics, secondary on guts.
While i may not be one of the quickest lads on your roster, if you need a mech dead - and I mean PROPER dead, then let me know. I prefer not to shoot them to scrap if at all avoidable though. Kill the meat, save the metal.
I think you're filling the last berth of the argo currently available, so I should be able to get you in at some point in the near-ish future! It looks like I'll be able to get a mech build you might be interesting in. I'm working towards a twin UAC2 blackjack. Sounds like you might be a willing pilot for it whilst we work up to bigger mechs!
@@Chimpy13 works for me. You'll be surprised, just how good those can be for called shots.
At least once the pilot gets up to that level.
Make no mistake though, this build is a dedicated sniper for called shots. The regular gunnery skills are going to be mediocre for a while.
@@Chimpy13 Put bluntly: At Tactics 9 put me in a Marauder with 2-3 UAC2s or a gauss rifle and let me start headshotting stuff. You want to collect mechs regardless of tonnage in earnest? Sure thing! I gotcha covered on that one. You'll see.
Getting there is the tricky part. Takes a lot of practice to get that good.
@@ranekeisenkralle8265 Yeah I want to get a marauder at some point, just gotta save up for it and maybe we will get one! It turns out you're the 9th berth in the crew, so it may be a little while before I'm able to add you, at least it means I can get a mech ready for you. I love the gauss rifle so head shotting stuff with it is right up my street! Looking forward to it!
@@Chimpy13 best get those barracks expanded ASAP then. because getting up to Tactics 9 takes quite a while.. so you want to start early.
If you find a suitable male pilot for a brawler build, I volunteer with the callsign Lifeblood. Prefer a Centurion or Warhammer if possible (my fav mechs) but either way I'm looking forward to watching your playthrough, love this game.
Yep, can do that by around #10 or so. At some point I will be refitting the Centurion to go brawler as that's a nasty build. Welcome aboard!
Wait, you're going to use the Vindicator as a close range and the Centurion as LRM boat? Would you be using the Urbanmech as a scout then?

Haha no worries, I made some VERY questionable decisions in this first playthrough. Particularly in the first half. I was still very new to BattleTech.
I believe you only get 2 specialty abilities. 2 branches in the pilot tree all other specialty skills will be downgraded.
Depending on who you fight you probably want to go for more salvage you can get weapons upgrades that wayand check the prices for the salvage some can bring in a Lotta money.
Yeah I agree to extent. On easy low skull missions later on, the money is better but getting that salvage to get better weapons and mechs is absolutely important though.
