nice pace, movement looks cool already and i feel joy every time you say that you're proud of yourself, which you have every reason to be :D really enjoyed the video, keep it up!
@@ChapC_Creates Yes. I'll be curious to see how you combine those. It's really, really interesting to think about how movement interacts well with the environment. I love those 'higher'-level game design questions.
I hope so too... I need to settle down in the new house first and see how I can mix real work, game dev and my gaming channel ;) Maybe I am trying to do a little too much. Thank you btw!
@@ChapC_Creates Understand 100%. As someone who is "working on" 20 development projects simultaneously (and streaming), I have most certainly bitten off more than I can chew. But... loving almost every minute of it.
Hmm... While you're asking someone who loves Godot, I can objectively say that Godot has seen a significant surge in popularity. Raylib, in my opinion, is a bit too lightweight. I'd recommend going with Godot to take advantage of its wealth of tutorials and active communities.
The dog really made it personal for us devs lmao
haha, right in the soul

How sweet, thank you Nelius! More vids incoming.
I'm diggin' the movement. Already very evocative.
Next challenge, evocative gameplay that goes well alongside the movement.

Thank you! new video incoming with lots of design improvements.
Hope you are able to find an enjoyable and practical balance between your game dev and other obligations!

are you using characterBody3D for enemies? dont work with another nodes?
Yes I use characterbody3d for both the player and enemies. In my opinion there arent many reasons not to do it this way.
