Loved listening to this Shaykh. A world I’ve never been apart of. His Grace and manners are imminent - he didn’t interrupt you even though he knew the Azhari shaykh you were referring to. Allah bless him and his journey.

I'm somewhat humiliated to ask for a dua'a from you all that Allah returns me to that land to fix myself upright. Since leaving that land (2016) I've been yearning deeply to return but so much has happened to me that has made life unbearable at times. I pray that Allah blesses me with a swift and safe return to his village so that I may near myself to Allah, ameen
I appreciate the explanation on how 9/11 lead to changes in Zaytuna becoming more adopted to American society. I was noticing and feeling these changes which caused much conflict within myself and others. It wasn't a good change in my opinion, the early years of Zaytuna/HY were years I admired greatly and wish would return.
This episode made me sad. Firstly I have deep respect for you and your podcast. I learnt how to make dua from your Ramadan dua series. But this episode - ?!! Why have we Muslims fallen so low to trash good work others do for whatever reason and really poor for promoting your own program. Start your online school but why trash Sh HY and Zaytuna. Do you know how many people have come back to loving the Deen through Sh HY? If you don’t agree with how he has adapted the college over time with growing wisdom and blessing of his teachers - engage with him privately- have a conversation…. Islam would never have spread if those who went to spread the message did not integrate in the societies in which they went to spread the Deen. This is not the prophetic way… I ask your forgiveness if my feelings cause offence. Wasalaam
I don’t know, it’s like talking to someone and then they just suddenly walk away. And without saying anything, so that you’re not sure if it was something you said or something was bothering that person that they couldn’t keep it together.
Truthfully, and I think they'd admit it themselves, they owe a great deal to Sh Hamza & they love & respect him greatly. I think their comments are rooted in a love & yearning for that attachment with Shaykh Hamza, just like people yearn for the 'old days', but reality has set in & everyone needs to realise that the landscape has changed & people like Shaykh Hamza can't be everything to everybody, you've been prepared, now move on and serve others/learn with others, while SHY moves on with his projects.

Maybe Allah's Will made you here where you are now so you can make the world in the west a better place? Wallahu A'lam
But anyway returning once in awhile surely doesn't hurt
@@some1947 if I make it back I don't plan on returning. Life in the states for me has been quite troublesome to say the least.

So Wierd that when the map zooms in it doesn’t say Oakland…written out of history. No East Bay without Oakland.
