The grip and poise on that Gtr is unbelievable. That Impreza is a track weapon but it just cannot deal with the Nissan.

Mhm. Will be patiently waiting for English subtitles. This is an iconic battle. US vs JPN Tuners. Pretty cool to see how tuning was before and how it is today.
Tom Gones Lol you look at the attention to detail from Japanese tuners in the touge videos and then you see this. The only thing US tuners do is add power. Very little attention is given to the car's handling. In one of those videos, the guys in Japan were literally changing the angle of their rear wing, chasing a 0.3 seconds around the track.
@@calculator5909 You must a decade behind everyone else then. The US tuners have long since stepped up their game. Nearly all import enthusiast countries have.

It was never bad but we just had less of it and more of it dedicated to drift and drag racing now it’s gone the way of track cars

I wish they would switch cars after each battle and go again since they aren't using their own cars. STi driver made a lot of mistakes in the last battle.
Love these state sidw videos just wish they could have done them at a local mountain road in SoCal even if it was a super popular road like mullholand (not gonna name the local race spots) to make it feel more genuine to thw show. Either way, horse theif mile was built to emulate a mountain road aswell
I never understood why XS engineering kept bringing different cars instead of letting the R34 defend its title. The very first time I saw this episode I was under the impression that Eric sabotaged his car.
You know why. It’s America! The dudes privately owned R34 should have been in the battle. But it’s definitely easy to see how different the tuning is here from Japan. They take the smallest things into consideration and make huge results. Here it’s always been about power. I have yet to see any car in America perform to the caliber of what the car does when tuned by a Japanese tuner. Case in point look at how the XS R34 was all over the place. Now go watch a R34 tuned by a shop in Japan perform. It’s crazy
@@snooze4863 yea, as good as what XS engineering did, Mine's or MCR to name these two are always on top lol, the whole American Touge specials also shown how "immature" most US tuners are back in the days(letting some random dude in a EG hatch out performing you and getting a higher score is pretty insane to me)

@@kinji-86 そんな一発で塗り替えたこのマインズR34GTRって、筑波で58秒かよくて56秒って所だった気がするけど、Sタイヤのシルビアで「筑波50秒」を出したアンダー鈴木でもマインズとは圧倒的な差があるし、そのアンダー鈴木でさえWTACでは3位とかだから、マインズなんて自社レギュレーションを変えない限り、どうあがいても世界のチューニングカー「WTACマシン」には勝てないけどね。
