I have piles of clothing to alter due to weight loss, so this type of video is especially useful for me. Thanks for talking it through in detail. You are a gifted teacher who comes across like a friend. 🤗

I loved all three fixes! The last one I would have made into a reversible dress with the lining in between.

That’s what I was thinking as well - love reversible dresses and shells for vacation for more looks with fewer clothes - these two sheer patterns are both pretty and both would have looked better without the design on the inside fabric bleeding through

Thank you again for another great inspiration. I see so many sleeveless dresses but want to cover my upper arms and really would love to see how to make a sheer sleeve add on for the summer. Thank you

When you’ve visited Ann in North Yorkshire (!), you’ll have to pop down to Norwich, Norfolk, East Anglia so we can go thrifting together!! I really enjoyed watching your creative process! You always inspire me.🤗 I just came home from a doctors appointment, and go right by my favorite thrift store. Boy did I score, no dresses this time but 3 pairs of oversized linen pants to be remade. Also one of the pairs of pants has a matching hooded top. I also found these fantastic Turkish cotton pants. One fits as is, the other is oversized and will be modified. I like the “lagenlook” style, and these will make wonderful pants for layering. Because of all your detailed instruction, I am brave enough to remake them and have lovely linen pants for a few dollars. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge, experience, and creativity. I always look forward to your next video🤗❤️

These came out great! When I’m adding in a new fabric at the bottom of the garment, (like your too short casual dress) I find adding a small bit of the bottom fabric can help it look cohesive. I wondered how it would look with about 1/4” -1/2” of the floral around the bottom of the sleeves, for example.

Love these kinds of videos. Although I've sewed off and on my entire life, I always prefer upcycling my thrifted items, or even new bought to fit better. I'm a recent subscriber and have been binging your videos. I watched you fix the sheer top using a godet. I have a tank-style dress (not stretchy) with a high waist and then floor-length accordion pleats. It is a tad too tight in the bustline and I'm wondering what you think of trying small godets under the arm (sleeveless) at the side seams? Thanks so much. Big Hugs. Back to more of your videos! LOL
