    So I RARELY leave comments, like videos, or subscribe to youtube channels....but since I have started machine knitting, I find myself watching your videos 90%of the time when learning.
    I have learned soo much from you, so I thought I should let you know this.....and also wasted to say.....
    Thank you Ms. Kelley!!!!!!!!! I have a Toyota Elena K747 and a Bond Classic knitting machine. Your instructions are awesome because you make it VERY easy to understand, and they can be used on pretty much any knitting machine. Thanks for taking the time to record these tutorials. I would be lost without them 😁

      It is an honor that you are leaving a comment for me, but also viewing my videos. I am always happy when I hear of one that has learned even 1 thing from my different videos. Keep going with your work, no matter what machine you use.

      Oh thank you! It is made for a yarn bobbin to do Intarsia, but I thought it would be nice to use for the ravel cord also.

    You have taught me how to knit my first pair of socks on my knitting machine i just completed them 03-06-2015 thank you for the Guidance and Knowledge!

      So happy to hear that. Making socks can be addictive, whether by hand or machine but also I prefer to make my socks as the store bought ones are just too tight on me, maybe as I am diabetic but I am so used to making my own socks now than ever before.

      Alison Ang Glad that this video helped you. Socks can be easy but most times once we know how, when we don't know how to do a particular task in life, it will see so hard.

    You have just showed me what to store my ravel cord in; I am sure I have one of those bobbiny things around somewhere. Thanks

      @RobertaRoseMeads  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      CleverEwe I keep most of my ravel cord on those and didn't realize it but they snap together as well. so now I can look at them to find a color that won't interfere with what I have for WY and the MY.

    Awesome video. I especially will try this method for short rowing - 2/1 - that is the first time I've seen it.

    I love your videos! Thanks for making them. Short rows seemed kind of tricky, but your videos help a lot. If I want to make the pocket deeper, can I just knit extra rows before putting the next needle on hold?

    • @RobertaRoseMeads
      @RobertaRoseMeads  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad I have them up. And yes you can but you may want to still manually wrap that yarn around the next needle in HP is all.

    Is there a difference with the Lk150. And the 140
    I never heard of 140.
    All I use is the 4 ply yarn .
    My Lk150 struggles across the bed.
    What tension? Are you using, if you don’t mind me asking. Love your work.I learned a lot from you.🌺

    • @RobertaRoseMeads
      @RobertaRoseMeads  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just a matter of 10 needles. The LK140 has 140 needles, while the LK150 has 150 needles. I have also see the LK200, but if one can get a section of another LK150, you can add those 50 more needles.

    For men's sock exclusively, would you recommend the LK150 @ ~7mm or should I invest in a 4.5mm machine? For socks only, what machine would you recommend?
    I liked your video, especially the part where oyu appeared to knit at-speed, but I wish you would have shown the finishing steps; complete beginner here!

      I can use sock yarn on the lk150, TD2 but of course it will be knit flat. But if you go to the standard machine, the TD would be 4 with the same yarn and if you have a double bed machine. Sorry for not having the ending there, I had at times forgot to add something to a video. But there are the other videos on socks that may help. I may have hand knit the cuff to these socks.

    hi thanks for the tutorial. my question where do you find patterns for socks like this

    • @RobertaRoseMeads
      @RobertaRoseMeads  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cherry Lane If you cannot find a pattern or make one yourself, I do have a Spreadsheet Generator that will work on all machines with different yarns to make patterns for you. For a small fee for the work I had to do for the video as well as the spreadsheet, it may be worth it. www.hobbyknitter.com/files/patterns/tube.html

    Giving this a try as I speak. A seam is a small price to pay for quicker homemade socks.

    • @RobertaRoseMeads
      @RobertaRoseMeads  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is an easy sock to work up, now if you do have a double bed, it can be worked up on that, I would hand knit the top ribbing or one can have the rolled brim instead.

      I have the lk100 and I'm finding that I have tension issues working the short and reverse short rows. I think I figured that issue by reducing the amount of yarn between the needles and the carage before knitting the next row.

      You need to email me hobbyknitter@gmail.com for this pattern, it is a spreadsheet generator. My site has issues and working on fixing it, hopefully soon I will have that all set up again.
