    I want a suggestion from you.. actually I want to buy a midi keyboard specifically Arturia minilab 2 but I never learnt to play piano but with my limited knowledge of basic music ideas I have composed a few tracks; among them some are on TH-cam and mostly are on Instagram but I want to go even deeper and actually play, self learn and compose my tracks in a piano rather than a computer keyboard. So what would you like me to advise?? should I buy a midi keyboard or first take actual piano classes and then buy one??

    I need a bit of help, i've started in the FL and i know next to nothing and am aware of how much i have to learn each day for years to be better. But, making music strictly in DAW just feels so unnatural to me and i do not know if control keyboards are better or easier to learn but whenever i would be thinking of how beats should sound and repeat or loop i would include my hands like on a piano or when i listen to a sample i could imagine myself making it the way you do sir. So, my question is should i listen to my intuition and buy this device and learn and grow with it or do i first learn how to make it only in FL. I've just started to meet the music industry and got my questions answered so far, so thanks in advance for help!

    Hey thanks so much for this and the unbox/review video you did as well! Just wondering why you use the keys instead of the pads for the drum parts? I’m considering the minilab and use logic pro so just wondering if there are any issues there to know about between the two. Thanks!

    • @Yhuntermusic
      @Yhuntermusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem! It’s just my personal preference to be honest. I feel more confident when I hit the keys. Could be because I’m a board player. I use Studio One now and I like how it automatically assigns the my drum kits to the pads. I might be using the pads more often now because of how intuitive S1 is.

I have a question, I've heard that the Arturia is a little bit complicated to assign on Ableton, or that has problems with it's secondary pads bank (9-16) and other stuff like that. No knock, on the keyboard. But I would say it’s more of your skills👌🏾 seems like any other midi controller

    Man, would you recommend keystep or keystep 37 instead of mk2. I see that you use keys, for all that drums instead of pads. So no need for them

      Yo yo! I assign the pads for control functions now. Makes my workflow so much easier. The keystep is 🔥 too though!
