Such a lovely young woman and she made a wise choice with that apartment... it has so much space and the price was perfect. All the best to her as she continues her journey in Cambodia.
I loved the second one. It was the lowest in price. For the kitchen, a table by the wall before the bedroom would have provided extra counter space and also an eating area.
It may not fit with the format of the show, but part of the upside of the first place is that one doesn't need to buy or rent a motorbike; BKK1 is LITERALLY across the street, so all of one's daily needs are within walking distance. Contrast that with motorike expenses around $100 per month and it's not hard to see that a $350/mo place might have the same net impact on one's budget as a $450/mo place that's ideally located.
Me too! The pool would have won me over. I really like to swim and she would really enjoy that in the summer. Plus it had 2 bathtubs,I was surprised she didn’t pick it. The one she chose was nice too though.
The monthly power bill totally skews those prices. The big place is probably double with the monthly power and the tiny place is probably less after power.
WHAT🤯You're bugging out $450 for 2/2 modern & fully furnished! You better buy a table for more counter top space! Smh, they got us all messed up/overpriced for a closet size apt, here in the US!
I wonder how much is the cost of other things there??? I.e water, Electric, groceries, transportation... etc. Because at $450 for that beautiful 2 bedroom I'd be so happy!
I can easily spend about $100-$150 in electricity and that's only using my A/C at night due to the foreigner price being higher. That's why I asked for my budget to be $450 max including the electric and water prices. It only costs $2.50/ for gas and groceries can be about $100/month.
Same. There's more expensive spots in the city with more room and bigger amenities for about $700 ish for a month, but places like these are already good@@SoriyaSaysHi
Uhm 😐 how did he disrespect her? She said for the right place she would be willing to go above the $400 🤷♀️ geez 🙄 it was literally $50 over on that first one and had. Or one but two tubs which he said is not very common there plus the amenities. Some places in the US don’t look that nice for just $450
She cracks me up, wants Texas big, wants more counter, doesn't want to pay, tells realtor her price point, he shows her, she says he doesn't respect her
Apt 1: if there's not enough counter space, get a kitchen island on wheels. Too expensive? Rent it together with a roommate, then each pays $225 a month. Apt 2: Only a two seater couch? Get one more chair. Djeez.
Right? We live in the Atlanta area and a one bedroom one bath minimum $1000 a month. She would have two bedrooms two bathrooms for only 450. Plus a pool. I would’ve snapped that up in a heartbeat.
I liked the place she choose- bring older I think it had more character and uniqueness. Plus she really needed a larger kitchen more than she needed a tub. I’m always in favor of being under budget if possible.
I wouldve chose the starter, great price and i think for a 1 bedroom it was spacious just was furnished oddly. I would put a bigger couch and small chair and put the small dining table behind the living room(even get a set of four tv trays instead. It was the best option. The villa home was cute too, older homes have more charm but lack the luxury of a highrise. Also in a foreign country friends are wasier to make in a highrise with shops around then a older neighborhood.
I agree. I'd have chosen the 2nd one because of the price. For lack of island or counter space, she could buy a table or movable island (on wheels) - they do exist. Kitchen islands aren't that common in apartments in SE Asia. My 2nd choice was the 3rd apt, so I think she also chose well. I didn't like the 1st one as I think it was over budget and too posh for my tastes.
Her only issue with the first place was the price. With that much space, she could have gotten a roommate. Then she would have also had someone to get to know the city with.
I checked with the same 1st building and the prices for 2 bedroom apartment said was 1200-1400$ …! Don’t k know who’s wrong here: video or building or inflation within a year??? 😅
When the agent showed a bigger home, she said she was not ready to have that much space. And when he showed her a smaller unit, she said she wanted to entertain peolle bla3. So what do you want actually?😤🙄
Girl bye... Either save $50 and get sometime old or spend $50 more Dollars and literally get a mansion... With view, a gym and pool and all the amenities.. Girl it was a no brainer
Girl, they're eating you up in these comments, lol. I don't know why. I thought it was obvious you preferred to spend less, not automatically jump to a home that hit the tentative max.
My son moved to Phnom Penh in March. He is paying for way too much for his apartment. I need to find this realtor for him. I visited Cambodia this summer. It was beautiful. Find me this realtor!!!
Usually they say they want it for family visits but I have to wonder just how often family actually visits since these international locations are often very far away and airplane travel is very expensive.

She gave him permission to go up to $450 then says he’s not respecting her budget? He found her an incredible apartment for her very low budget. I was annoyed, I couldn’t finish watching the rest of the video. She’s annoying
You didn't even watch it bc you're so filled with hate off of one sentence? That says more about you and your mental issues than her. Stay salty and enjoy your ulcer lol
She has really poor decision making skils lmao the first and second apartment both are easy to access and surrounding areas seem busy so convenient to walk to other stores. The 3rd one is a country villa im used to seeing in old Thai Dramas lmao 🤣
This. Girl is annoying. And disrespecting him. She says one price he finds it then she's nasty saying he's disrespecting her. She wants. A thousand things for. Lil money she's so annoying I'd hate to have her for a Neiober. She's a complaner it's her. Way or nothing
The realtor did ans excellent job. He seemed to deliver great options and spot on for her budget.
Such a lovely young woman and she made a wise choice with that apartment... it has so much space and the price was perfect. All the best to her as she continues her journey in Cambodia.
Thank you for your kind words 😊
I loved the second one. It was the lowest in price. For the kitchen, a table by the wall before the bedroom would have provided extra counter space and also an eating area.
She has an awesome realtor. I am so proud that she step out of the box to do something different. I like the first place❤
$450 for a huge furnished apt plus free gym and pool. That sounds pretty great
There's one overwhelming factor that cannot be changed-- you're living in Cambodia
@@whatareuthinking1Fine, you can live on the beach in Santa Monica and pay $5000 a month. Is that better? 😂

That 1st place was amazing.
House #2 is so, so cute. I'd take it and add a mini island for the kitchen.
She was worried 3 people couldn't fit on the couch & then she picks one that doesn't even have a couch.
She said up to 450 and she then says he’s not respecting her price point…?
Then why did she say she can go up to 450 if the property can wow her?
He Was respecting her! She is kind of rude. Who is she going to entertain???
So true. Why waste someone's time when u are not sure of ur own decision.
Actually it's very pricey..
@@wdn7902You're so salty and mad for no reason. She was probably told to say that by the producers anyway. Are you new to TV shows?
She seems reallg sweet. Im happy for her and hope she enjoys her journey ❤
I would’ve chosen Apt #1 hands down!
Me too! The pool would have won me over. I really like to swim and she would really enjoy that in the summer. Plus it had 2 bathtubs,I was surprised she didn’t pick it. The one she chose was nice too though.
Please a free workout place
Or the 2nd one, this girl has such a poor taste.
Yes, #1 and tried to get a roommate :)))
Same there's no visible flaws with it plus I can workout everyday
The first place was top notch.
it's good, but there's better in Cambodia in newer areas - but further from the area where she works
The monthly power bill totally skews those prices. The big place is probably double with the monthly power and the tiny place is probably less after power.
I am Gobsmacked, from the war in Cambodia to this thriving place. Amazing. From Ireland 🇮🇪
I’m surprised she picked the one she did, but glad she’s happy with her decision
First time watching househunterinternational and now i want tosee mroe about Cambodia

Wages reflex the price
This realtor did a fab job. Her max budget was 450$ and bang on he got an amazing apartment. Its just that she wasnt sure of her own decision..
I would've def went for the first apartment! The amenities for that price was perfect!
450 for the first it is a good price with gym room and pool.2 bathrooms 2 bedrooms it is good price

The last one is okay. If she want to experience the real local living and house
Love those purpose chairs!
All of that house for 450 per month...dang ..dts cheaper dn house India with that range
How is he disrespecting your price point when you literally told him you're willing to go up to $450?
He literally said he was going to test her limit...
Lovely young woman. Odd there was no mention of a laundry or any emphasis on aircon.
Immediately thinking house ‘1 and getting a roommate she would of saved money 💰
Really you wouldn't get a fraction of the amenities & size here, especially in Connecticut where you were, pay 5x-10× the rent, not own!
To be fair, there is a massive difference between Connecticut and Cambodia lol 😂😂😂
Her only issue with the first place was the price. With that much space, she could have gotten a roommate. Then she would have also had someone to get to know the city with.
Great episode. 🙂

I lived in Cambodia ten years ago and the prices weren’t that low then. I had the exact same thought. Where did those prices come from???
She definitely chose the right space. Also why are marble floors such a big thing?
She made the right choice 😊
I just feel like the realtor would treat me right without playing games

She shoulda took the first one and got a work from home job from the states. She would live very comfortable
How is it possible to rent a two bedroom apartment with 450$ with bathtub and swimming pool? I don't believe this price is available these days.
Well the salary there is around $400 a month sooooo

His name is written at some point on the screen, maybe you can find him if you search online.
Can’t blame them for taking advantage of foreigners, especially if they aren’t sure if they are quiet and respectful (a big part of Asian culture).
She can get a cart to use in the kitchen to do her chopping in apt 1.
I can’t even find any thing for that price
There is no stove or oven in the third apartment.
I would have totally picked #1 but I love pools and the second I saw a pool I would have chosen it. 😜
Why didn't she ask that guy if House 1 had any 1 bedroom apartments. She didn't need two bedrooms.
Usually they say they want it for family visits but I have to wonder just how often family actually visits since these international locations are often very far away and airplane travel is very expensive.
I love seeing housing and apartments from different countries but the people looking for a new home seem delusional.
Loved number 1
400 a month? Are you joking?
How cheap can you be. 450$ is waaaay cheaper than what she was paying in the states
You obviously forgot where she mentioned she will now be earning only one fourth of what she used to earn in the USA
She's living in Cambodia. Her salary is lower, local peoples' salaries & cost of living is also lower.
$450 is pricy?
Cambodia teachers make $20k USD.
So $450 is very doable.
How is it that cheap there?
My son is a teacher in Phnom Penh. I can guarantee that they do not make $20000 a year. ! But it is above the average salary among the Khmer.
@@ilalynch9027 I just Googled, average teacher salary in Cambodia.

That last place is so sterile...
What is that white appliance looking thing to the right when they enter the kitchen?
I haven’t seen it, but knowing Asia, it’s probably what heats the water; they don’t typically use water heaters as ppl in the West know them.
