An excellent, absolute antithesis to "The Daughter of The Sea." I love the absolute controversy to the original. You should perform both of the songs, in a single video, as a sort of a story, I think it would wonderful very Tolkien-like, with his "Roads Go Ever On" and "Last Goodbye."

Sharm, I just thought of something else! It has to do with my first comment.
I've watched the Realm of Torment cinematic, where Jaina's mother Katherine sees all the pain living in Jaina's head. It has occurred to me that if Jaina and Anduin do get together like I suggested in the first comment (which I must reiterate would be difficult given their current relationship, and would only be possible through good writing that shows the two of them coming into the romance in a way that is well-written, that feels natural, and logical so as to make it palatable, understandable, worthy of support by the fans, and realistic, instead of the depraved fantasies of a perverted fanfiction writer which are all too often seen in even the half way decent romantic fanfictions), it would be a great part of the arc for him to have the same experience as Katherine did, seeing all that pain. It might impart some good lessons for him, but I think it would mainly drive him, being noble as he is, to love her even more, to give her the happiness that has so often been taken from her. He would experience all that pain, feel hurt with her, and break down in tears, saying over and over how he wishes he could go back and stop it all from happening, much as Thrall said to Jaina after rescuing Baine. Jaina would tell him that she and him wouldn't be here if those events hadn't happened, and would convince him that she's working through it. Nevertheless, he would vow to give her the love and happiness she has had taken from her at every turn, to repay her for all that she has done for him over the years. The romance would continue from there, stronger than ever. That's just my thoughts, though, and I may have left out some bits, but there we have it. Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think!

@@sharmsong Ikr?! Thinking about Anduin and Jaina has honestly sunk me into a depression, oddly enough. I know how weird that must sound, but I realize how much in tune their possible attraction was with my own romantic desires. It just got me thinking about a lot of things that have been bothering me for the past 5 years (my lack of romantic contact, my lack of a social life, having a crummy job, the prospect of being a lonely, lazy loser living with his parents forever, being complacent about my future by wasting time watching TH-cam videos, reading, playing video games, and thinking up all sorts of idealistic fantasies, all as a distraction, and more recently my parents' health issues, my grandma's death, and this damn virus), and the floodgates just opened up on me. It's been a rough week or two for me mentally, costing me sleep over several days, but hopefully it can also be transformative for me, and I can finally make progress towards a better life for myself. Sorry if this reads a little weird, but I've been pushing myself to get my mental problems off my chest in anyway I can so they don't fester inside me and push me back into the cycle I've been in for years.
I'm glad, though, that you like my ideas. It gives me hope that the two of them might actually come together haha.

The first verse was written by Robert Brooks (I am assuming, as he wrote the original) and I wrote the second verse to fit to her mother, Katherine, and then I just adapted Robert's chorus lyrics :)

In brief, HoS is one of the oldest Warcraft III mods that has been remade recently and its Act I released a year ago (its trailer and walkthroughs can be found on our channel, to give an idea what it looks like)), we're currently working on Act II which is set during Wacraft I and II events, and features younger Daelin Proudmoore, Katherine and little Jaina (as well as James and Priscilla Ashvane)) among characters. Including this awesome song in a scene set in Boralus would be an opportunity to emphasize the story being set a different era, and provide a meaningful echo to future events.
The mod is a non-commercial fan project and is not monetized in any way.

Call me delusional, but if Jaina and Anduin end up together, hear me out, I think a variation of this would be excellent for them as the romance kicks off. Anduin would start off in my mind, shocking Jaina by knowing the tune, and turning it into a proclamation of his affection. Here's how the variation would play out for the first half:
Anduin: *hums the tune for a bit* Ahoy, ahoy, sweet daughter of the seas
Ahoy, this lady be mine
The king's great love, his whole entire world
For as long
As stars do shine
After an initial period of shock where Anduin explains how he learned the tune (most likely from Jaina's mother, Katherine) and why he's using it, Jaina would join in:
Jaina: Ahoy, ahoy, son of Stormwind
Ahoy, this king be mine
The lady's love, her whole entire world
For as long
As sands of time
The rest I forget lol. It might get cut off at that point anyway. If this strikes you as creepy because of Anduin and Jaina's current relationship dynamic, let me have it in the replies haha. I will completely understand. If this strikes you as romantic, whether because of the tone and the lyrics or because you think that an Anduin/Jaina romance is in the works, also let me know in the replies. Thanks for reading!
P.S. As far as my opinion on an Anduin/Jaina goes, I lean in favor of it. Overlooking the age difference and their current relationship dynamic, I think Anduin would be a good choice for Jaina. They've known each other a long time, and I think he would know how to make her happy. As some comments here have said, Jaina deserves happiness. She's experienced plenty of tragedy in her life. Arthas' turning and death, her father's death, the destruction of Theramore, her brother's undeath, all have been wicked gut punches to her. Anduin, being the noble, kind-hearted lad and strong, just king he is, would, I think, finally provide her with the happiness that has been all too often snatched away from her. The political benefits to Stormwind and Kul Tiras would be an added bonus. Just my thoughts. I think that if wrote properly, the arc would have Jaina and Anduin both start distancing themselves from their current relationship and have it evolve into a romance, perhaps spurred by the pressures put on the both of them to marry someone. After both of them look at the prospective candidates in front of them, perhaps they find them all lacking. They would think "who should it be?" And then it'll come to them, that the answer to both their questions has been staring them in the face. Then it proceeds from there. That's my thought process, anyway. Will it happen? Maybe, maybe not. What happens happens. But know that I am the dragon and I will ship who I want lol. Thank you for attending my weird ass TED Talk 😂. Cheers! *sips wine*
