Hi Peter, thank you for the informative video. My question is to what degree are the pre-match and in-play markets linked in this way? Can someone who has not seen many markets / games get an edge in play going of the pre-match (perhaps descrepencies in expected price movements due to overreactions etc.) Without experience you would not be able to 'feel' a good price so how should one start. Asking as I am comfortable with strategy, psychology/discipline but can't see how to create an edge. How can I begin to get an edge on the over 1.5 goals in the second half for example. (As I've not seen a lot of games I cannot accurately anticipate the goal) as you've explained prior, Random trades produce random results, so how can one begin to let the 'right trades find them'. Are there bits of 'thin value' available in the market for a novice who is disciplined and executes a proven strategy with basic match reading skills or do you have to be very advanced to be profitable at all? Thanks for you message and comments. Marking the match before it starts and then comparing it to what happens as it gets under way is the key to exploting imbalances inplay. You should be able to see clearly where the market is versus what is going on in the underlying match. If the gap is wide enough you should capture some value long term. The key here is indetifying value, rather than just coming up with some system that uses odds as a cue.
Hello, One part of the video confused me. I would be grateful if you could clarify this for me. So I took average goals as in this video: " Football Betting tips - Profit from you favourite betting strategy by predicting football matches". And I had 1.64 g for home team and 1.61g for away team, in total 3.25g . Than from that data I made a model like in this video (using poisson). And from correct score market we can calculate how many goals will there be if we add up (In this video is 2.18, mine is 2.32). But that number is much different from the one I started counting everything with. So why are they different which one should I use?
Wonderfull advice , combined with the BTTS formula you posted a while ago . it is a great combination. Just a question iam not as wizz with exel but how did you get the arows in the spreadsheat or did you added them for the video. ?
You can insert them as 'objects' in Excel. There is quite a lot you can do. You may want to visit the forum where people modified the spreadsheet further - forum.betangel.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7148&start=20

So far i make enough wins after 20 games for profit then lose it all again in one go haha... oh well just trying make it beyond that point. Many blessings, all the best

Thanks for your comment. I've done other videos on pricing matches, but not specifics such as injuries or suspensions etc.
Hi how do you come up with this odds and percentages like 1-0 is 16.50 chance? And why is it different from 0-1 which has 11.00

Most football web sites have this data, you may want to check out www.soccerstats.com which has a decent amount of the right information.
