this is not the beta , just a datamined version , if u have seen the 40min gameplay last year released u can tell the interface not even close , this gameplay still use the old version UI
Rumor has it that Blizzard decided to go back to the old UI but improve it a tiny bit because the new UI was too much of a hassle.

So far, the spell effects are a little muted. They should be more exaggerated.
Just so u all know this is still pre-beta so ofc not all the textures and graphics are finished
because it's wide screen I'd like the option to have the UI on the side of the screen. Especially because this is a top down strategy game where there shouldn't be any bias towards up, down, left, right. i.e it' just as important to see things coming from any direction....
Age of Empires Definitive edition impressed me more idk why but hey this isn't the final release of the game hopefully they improve on more

Just get the job done. I don’t care if the game is delayed for another month or even a year. People who are going to buy and play this game mostly are in their 30s now with a job and possibly a family. Blizzard can relocate their resources to this game as much as possible, and take as much time as they please. By the time they decide to release it, just put on a price tag and I will buy it.

The UI did have changes, maybe still does, some people didn't like the look of the new UI. You can find it if you Google around or maybe a yt video. This UI setup is solid anyway

Why don't you like it? It meets all technical requirements of modern UIs. And the UI shown in the video doesn't meet these requierement (it takes too much screen space, it has "dead" zones and so on...)
All I hope is that they don't change their voices

They will change the voices because they want reforge to be more like WoW, so they will have WoW voice actors. But I think there will be an option to change the voices back to the original voice actors.

Liking the look of it but for me the main thing they should be focused on fixing here is running is the animation of units.
They really either need to fix the lip animations on icons (since they are so large) or make them not move their lips because how it is now looks really bad.
Dragonhawk riders are more handsome now. Original Dhawk riders looked more like half ogres.

Hi friend, look at everything very nice but I have read on the blog that Dracolich is not happy with Blizzard because apparently they have not corrected any mistakes from the past, it seems that it is only as a way to get money ... and Dracolich said that if he does not see that blizzard eliminate those mistakes he doesn't think about working on an improvement in dota 1 a shame
looks good needs a little work and if this is pre beta I'm sure it will look great when released. Get ready for those badass custom games if they bringing that system back. That is greatest part of warcraft 3 for me so many game modes from dota to TDs so many more i can list off that had people constantly playing. BRING THEM CUSTOM GAMES BACK TO LIFE!!
Lol at this point should they make warcraft 4 with dota 2 graphic and animation engine but warcraft gameplay. Imo. Still its great to see old games remastered 🤘

it's missing specular mapping in textures. This is work in progress, even before the blizzcon 2018 teaser.
Everything kind of looks like clay come to think of it.......
I think i agree with the other guy’s comment here, i think this is just a modded wc3 if u look at the map it looks way different than the one they showed at blizzcon. Maybe im wrong but ill just drop it here anyways.
@@KreepyPanda If its a modded WC3, the question is how does someone get all the reforged models? These models are nowhere present in any modding community, and I am a member of the biggest modding communities in WC3. Trust me this is a pre-beta build. Probably leaked by Blizzard on purpose to see our feedback from the shadows.

ye, it is basically the same game because you will be able to play multiplayer with people who are play just the normal warcraft 3. The only other large difference will be in the campaign, they will tweek somethings and a add a bit of different story (WoW related).

@Snake Plissken it is a reimagining from the core game perspective, which is the campaign. Actually its also important to note that because reforged is going to be compatible with the original warcraft 3, they have already (and probably will release more) patches and updates to the game. Lots of minor changes but some are big such as changes to the races which have made the meta a bit different in melee games and added 12 more player slots (12 to 24) and added widescreen support. So they are redoing warcraft 3 as they promised (singleplayer) in reforged but the multiplayer has already been changed for the original warcraft 3 so it could fit reforge.
@Snake Plissken I think the name reforged is great. It isn't a remix of the whole game where it has changed warcraft 3 into something more but it also isn't just a reskin where they just improved the graphics. They improved the graphics, will redo the sound, changed UI, are redoing the campaign (core game), and made changes to the engine/world editor/patched normal warcraft 3 a lot.

This needed to be more, just like StarCraft Remaster this looks like a pretty product with not enough to offer new players.
Dude this is far from complete. From what I understand, the campaigns are being updated to fit more with the retconned lore (King Anastarian actually shows up and has a model).
And do note, RTS games are not a popular genre of game these days, this isn't meant to draw in new players.

It looks great to me. Warcraft universe is not supposed to be hyper-realism. If u want that u go play call of duty or something.
When they first made wc3 they sure didnt expect the 100 click a minute players and thats defenitely noticable in every video about wc3 today. The emotes of the units are said way to often and its a pain in the ass to hear their voice lines more than once a secound. Should be reduced before release
honestly i hope theres alot more work done than this, they need to do more to the ui.. i get the nostalgia factor but thats not the reason people are gonna play it. you want it to have a long life so they need to update it to match. Even dota 2 done away with the bulky ui and they should do it too.
ps: holy shit the blue water is almost indistinguishable to the blue coloured units.

I think Mk is not ready yet, so as many other things. I'm praying for that, because if it's not, his movement and looking are disgusting. Almost impossible to identify him through the battlefield.

Is it just me, or does it look like Starcraft's warcraft map?
The core problem of development in WC3 Reforged is the wide disparity in expectation among the player base. Some people expected SC2-like detailed graphics with realism as a priority, while some insist on preserving the cartoonish simplistic look for better visibility in pro play. I for one don't think there's a middle ground to satisfy everyone because gamers are more demanding these days. Back when RoC was released, we fell in love with different aspects of it and gaming was just for the sake of escaping reality. If you didn't like a game, you'd move on. But now, gamers are more vocal with their expectations and would take the storm to the internet, bringing more voices into the mix. We all want to believe that our opinions resonate with the majority of the playerbase and that Blizzard has to deliver it the way we imagined it to be. Unless Blizzard could afford to design Reforged in two different art styles - classic cartoon and modern realism, disappointment will be inevitable. That said, I for one, genuinely like what I'm seeing now, even in its unofficial Beta version. Using arguments like "this is just the unofficial Beta" and "switch back to classic graphics" clearly doesn't satisfy the anxious playerbase who have been denied any form of news for almost a year, everyone is equally overwhelmed by all the data mining. Seeing this classical game being compromised for both sides, I wouldn't wanna ask for more at this point. In the end, we all believed in Reforged because of our longlasting passion for the game since 2003. No matter how it looks like in the end, we will eventually come to terms with Reforged, because the game has survived the test of time and will continue to preserve its charm in the future.

I am really excited for Reforged. Seeing this "beta" from 2018 and imagining what they have done this year... is incredible feeling.

Самое главное, что должный были поменять немного геймплей - что бы люди получали новый опыт и учились обратно играть.... мне игроку с 7 годами опыта игры, осталось мля только Компанию пройти, которая скорей всего пойдет в разрез канону...=)))
