Never played the game. Sit down and watched the whole thing and honestly i loved it. I feel like i missed lots of events between the cutscenes obviously, but it gave me an overall picture of what's happening. I'm really happy for the nice ending which is quite rare these days.

I really hope for that ending scene, that's really Sarah and they both ride off into the sunset together, and not just a figment of his imagination or a hallucination. With how much they both fought through to get back to each other, I really hope it's just a simple happy ending.
It's very much up ambigous. She became a god at the end, could be she survived and decided to go back to a physical form. Or maybe she can't, but is using her powers to make Jim hallucinate because she thinks it will make him happy. Maybe this is just one of Jim's dreams. Maybe he is dead and this is him meeting her in the afterlife.
If Metzen is the good writer I think he is, he made the scene ambiguous because litteral Kerrigan wouldn't have made sense. But that's what Kerrigan would've wanted, what Raynor would've wanted and what we wanted. So he made it happen and leaves the rationale of it all up to us.
After seeing that New Folsom cutscene again I finally realize that Horner is what Raynor used to be; before New Gettysburg. The idealistic man, fighting for a better future.
Amen to that. Might just be me, but I find Jim Raynor more relatable as time goes on (minus the alcoholism, thankfully). Idealism can only last so long in the real world, especially one as grim and unforgiving as theirs. But despite everything, you have to find a way to look after your own and keep going.

He could have lived longer if he did evil things that would have taken him down a different road, but he'd be evil then and have lost the whole reason any of exist: to be and die good.

The overarching SC2 story was SHITTYAIDS. Kerrigan getting ressed, to then become fested again, to then become a god creature. Utter utter cringe garbage. Some good beats with Tychus and Warfield but ultimately too many women in the writers room.
So from what I learnt from this is that the Protoss always have the power to defeat the Zerg but because they are divided and doesn't trust each other which is the cause of their downfall until they learnt to cooperate. RIP hybrids, you might've lived your life short but it was worthwhile.

In fact, she emerges feeling awesome and there is a SC1 cinematic where she calls out to Jim during her transformation. She calls with a sweet, relaxed voice. She then mentions to Raynor that she instinctively reached out to him telepathically. I can never be sure, of course, but my take is that perhaps the transformation not only wasn't painful, but it could easily be orgasmic. The "instinct" Kerrigan mentions could be just her love for the man when she called out to him in a peak of pleasure. Plus, it makes sense - she was just betrayed and left to die. If the Zerg can manipulate bodies with such huge mutations, they can surely shut off any pain the mutations could cause and induce extreme pleasure. Why not to use it to their advantage and gain Kerrigan easily to their side by showing her a much more pleasant alternative of life?

So many years before, and yet such a MasterPiece, Blizzard, please go back to the old times, when games were made to the fans and not only to money, i assure you, money will be a consequence... and will be higher than ever... the game had heart, soul, history, love, i saw this compilation and got so hyped, and such emotions came out... its absurd how u got in our hearts in the past!, thats something we live for.
The cinematics on starcraft have always been fantastic.
I have never played any of the games and yet I say this is a prity good film, if its anything like warcaft3 the during mission dialogue just makes it better.
imagine if after humanity dies they find only this video out of all the tech we have awailable and don't have movies or trilogy's so they keep thatpart untranslated,only get the rest and interpret it as an actual history.

This should be a movie! movies have been making super suits for awhile now, just add swarms of enemies on some earth defense force kinda scenario, well or just rewrite the game story as a movie, the characters are loveable and its every sci fi buffs dream come true.
This game gave me more satisfaction than any other.
