Doug is a sentient bell pepper who was hired by the FBI to crack gaming challenges and also talk about things with food

I love how Doug's entire career is people giving him immense trust in things he's not qualified for
That’s how most people’s careers are. Learning is constant process and if they waited for someone who knew what they were doing, they’d be waiting forever
After all He did turn skyrim into an interdimensional Sex Simulator powered by a fucking necromancer
Anyone who know what they're doing is already hired somewhere else.
Most of these jobs are things where you’re expected to learn it on the spot. Cause if nobody is qualified someone has to figure it out!
Aka fake it till you make it.
I think we can all agree that whoever was in charge of the camera changes did a great job making it a lot less awkward for everyone watching at home
Yeah
@celsia Shut up bot
Fr. Cameraman hard carried there on the fly
It was my ex girlfriend
@@XUIW oh shit did y’all get a divorce?
Pavel a gigachad for following Doug’s instructions exactly.
Simply on the grind
Malicious compliance
I probably woulda done the same thing tbh I woulda just held it
It's how you learn to behave as a child in Russia. Follow the instructions. If they sucked and something goes wrong, it's YOUR fault.
He's not gonna lie to you, he's a pretty good player. He's been playing Hearthstone for almost a year now, and He's made a lot of progress. He's not the best, but He's pretty close.
He’s not gonna lie
The capitalization of “He” because He’s a God I’m crying lmaooo
Diablo the cheater
He's not gonna lie
Sometimes I wake in the middle of the night, hearing that exact thing, repeating over and over.
That Poor Kid was petrified xD He got an order from a Big Shot, completely confused, followed it to a T and became a meme after winning the Title. What a fucking Legend :P
Big shot
luckily he became a massive meme for his actual play. idk if it was this championship that got him famous but he is famous for winning a grand final match with some disgusting rng.
hopefully he didnt have too much of a bad time
@@4whomittolz846 Isn't that part of heartstone's appeal that it has more RNG and cool effects with extreme variance?
@@evilbird4012 now's your cha-
It must be awful being surrounded by people you can’t understand who are desperately trying to tell you to put the trophy down
@we did it bruh
I mean how would you know? Were you there? Did a bald cheater also approach you threatening to change the game into an interdimensional sex simulator powered by a necromancer?
In all seriousness I probably would've done the same thing and never put it down outta stage fright even though I'd understand everyone. Poor kid.
@@Bluessoulphoenix with the context of diablo the cheater this is weird without context this looks like you're on every drug simultaneously

I assumed something FAR worse happened when I read the video's title than this guy holding a trophy for too long. Still awkward, but I thought Doug had like, caused a power outage or broken a camera or something.
Is there something you remember that feels like it was really awkward? This is that for him.
@@trashtrash2169 For sure, but more of 'how I really embarrassed a gamer and made for an awkward moment at an ESL championship' story
Agreed. I also like the hell Doug talking about. I had no clue he ran it
TL;DR you got clickbaited
I was expecting the trophy to fall an break at any moment
This is pretty minor, not gonna lie. Now imagine him doing exactly as Doug asked AND walking away, trophy held high, as the confetti was raining down, people were applauding, camera panning around catching a glimpse of him going toward the exit and asking someone to open the door because he had to hold the trophy up because some guy told him to...
That would've been a true disaster. And probably the funniest thing ever.
this made me laugh out loud haha :D
Thanks you made me laugh so hard I choked on my own saliva

Yes! The only thing that could make it even more awkward: A legendary failed e-sports handshake!
Someone went for a hug
What if he just kept holding it up with one hand?
@@bobboberson6792 the weird hyper balding american told him to hold it up, so hold it up he shall
He absolutely made a conscious choice to commit to this joke and I have nothing but respect for that.
To what joke
If you’re talking about Doug, I don’t think any of this is a joke at all. He talked about doing ESL stuff, and if you go to the video, you can pause and see that that man is 1,000,000% doug. Same beard, same face.
@@SomeOne-vf1rs I think he means the player knew he was supposed to put the trophy down at somepoint but kept it up to be funny, although idk if thats true
Neil Ramdeen ahhh. Yeah maybe
@@neilramdeen582 nahhh i really think he genuinely thought what he's doing is correct, i mean that's what the weird stranger told him, and he seems really, really awkward, he just doesn't have high social skills
I was beat by Pavel that year in the tournament. our only conversation in HS was "I need to go pee" "GG" , "congrats on winning the World Championship :) " and lastly a lovely "thank you :)" from the legend himself.
aww that is wholesome
convo in HS?! you mean pms?
Legends tells that he's still holding the trophy 6 years later
I heard he had surgery to elongate his arms so he can hold the trophy even higher.
He’s waiting for his owner to come back but he doesn’t know his owner is frozen in a tube.
It was a power move. He wanted to force you all to confront his brilliance, and the fact that, try as you might, you'll never achieve even a fraction of his glory. Time was necessary for everyone to fully grasp the implications of that. Obviously a Chad.
Gotta give props to whoever editted it. Makes it look like they are showing multiple camera angle shots of a short instance... rather than the uncomfortably long and awkward time of just lifting up the trophy with no change.
Legend has it Pavel is still holding the trophy as high as he physically can
You just gave him the wrong argument

He-man holding his sword but it's a trophy.
How the fuck did Doug Doug score that big gig after worker there for only a year? That’s crazy
He did the best trophy raising of his life
not gonna lie to you, he's a pretty good employee, had been working there for around a year. He's not the best, but he's pretty close
the man is driven, for sure. his charisma certainly doesn't hurt either.
I feel like we skipped a step between "I learned how to edit some videos on youtube" and "So then I was the production manager for a Blizzard event"
It's so weird to suddenly find people that just happened to have a hand in a lot of events of your life randomly. Only just found DougDoug and slowly learning "oh, he was there? and there? and there? the fuck!"
I think it feels a lot longer to Doug because he was there and felt responsible for it, but honestly it's not that bad. The editing helps a lot, but even in person it's honestly not THAT strange to hold a trophy for that long
Ngl it's not as bad as he makes it seem but I can see how this is one of those cringe-inducing moments that will keep you up at night for the next decade.
and pavil is still holding the trophy to this day

Doug, are you on the olive oil again? This many uploads in the span of two days haven't been seen since... the incident.
you don't understand man, he can quit whenever he wants to, olive oil isn't that strong
...he just needs more time, yeah, surely
lol what is this a reference to? I know he was taking olive oil shots as part of a keto diet or something, but was there really an "incident?" ahaha
wtf, with davey being his brother, being friends with the best lawyer-cop-tetris player, and now this, it turns out doug has been an industry insider all along
Doug: Make sure you hold the trophy
Pavel: *Holds the trophy as instructed*
"ruined" seems like an overstatement. To me this looked epic. Whats more epic, is that i learned that Doug is even more amazing than i previously thought, wouldnt be surprised if he also has a footlong
Doug, stop taking credit for Diablo the Cheater's work
I am missing the context. Mind explaining it?

Doug, I have a similar story. I officiated my brother's wedding. I told the crowd to stand for the bride and groom. I forgot to tell them to sit down. They stood, literally, the whole ceremony. The photographer in the back telling ME, "Sit down!" and I'm like, "What?"
Legend says he still holding it to this day, it's only though eternally looping in his mind: "But for how long Doug, FOR HOW LONG?"
This really isn't so bad. I think Pavel did a good job. He followed the instructions he was given and the camera angle changes prevented it from being too awkward.
So glad Doug's TRUE main channel is uploading again, it has only been content from his side channel for a while now!
Some say he is still holding it to this day.
I love seeing chat slowly realise what the problem is
I was so worried about something bad happening to the trophy but then he lifted it up. Chat starts Pogging and I'm like okay. "Still a good shot!" "Okay?" Still holding it up. "Oh dear god!"
I haven't been brought to tears in quite some time. This was a very much needed laugh, so thank you. I had been out of HS for a while now. But seeing this with you there to give context was the best thing ever. Cheers
I feel this should have been how doug accepted the league of your own award at the twitch awards. It would have been hilarious.
he was informed to win..... he did his job.......
he was told to hold that trophy and he held it like no other.....
Doug went from working at EA to setting up Esports for Blizzard. I don't know which is worse.
And while is happening, his brother had already released The Stanley Parable.
@@VoidVoidVoidVoidVi haven't seen the Stanley Parable, is it bad?

Bless this kid's heart, he followed Doug's instructions to a tee, for better or worse.
7:16 you can tell doug is relieved he finally put it down in top right
Man Doug Doug lore is absolutely crazy
Pavel took "Trophy-holder" to the next level!
I'm autistic and I'm pretty sure he just got an instruction and went ahead and followed it, not having any other input besides it. I can see myself in that situation, not being entirely sure what to do other than what some important guy told me to do.
same
This poor kid. He probably couldn't understand any of the announcements ending the ceremony. It was a little awkward but like, eh it could have been much, much worse.
Oh God what an event to remember. I watched this with my brother and we were like "Why is he holding it for so long?"
We talked about for weeks and when my brother got an A in his final he showed it to my mom holding it up for like 5 minutes. My mom was baffled and I was laughing.
God I miss this moments.
Dude undrestood the assignment perfectly. Doug only told him to hold it ABOVE his head, he didn't say anything about putting it back down.
The feeling of being a director and sitting in the audience. "oh they're doing the thing as I told them! well. not quite"
I'm so proud of what your hair used to look like :)
This was one of the funniest things i have seen in years. I now have to watch this 100 more times.
This tournament was wild... was in this very tournament that the Card "Babbling Book" got the nickname "Pavel's Book" because the damn thing always gave him the best possible card on key moments making pavel win the tournament, at the end they gifted a real life "Pavel's Book" to him...
How dare you do that to him Doug. He probably still holds it till this day.
No matter what you told him, what poor socially awkward human decides to just CONTINUE
Congrats for having the chance to have this project btw, and having it done well on top of that, this is huge!
I would love to watch chat fight each other in hearthstone. Separate by alphabet again, have chat vote on adding cards to make a cruddy deck and have them play against eachother. Make some quality of life tweaks though to make sure neither team ropes.
Moral of the story, don't listen to Doug. You heard him!
he's not solving problems, he's making them!
@Везунчик 🏳️🌈 Doug is my spirit animal. He seemingly stumbles through life accidentallying himself into meme greatness.
I vividly remember a Dota 2 International having the big trophy moment where they only had shots of the back of the winners.
The winners decide to face the audience whist makes sense. but all the camera's where set up for the other directions, so the first half was just looking at the back of the team as they raised the cup.
I will die a happy man knowing that DougDoug had a genuine impact on the world. Even if it was just a international cringe.
I actually feel like this wasn't that bad, but specifically because the camera people moved around different shots. Like it's actually cool, as long as the camera people make it happen.
Yes, it was very long, but they told him to put it down at the perfect moment.
i love when we learn something new about doug
He was so embarrassed that he never played video games again all thanks to Doug
The last video on this channel... DougDougDoug will be missed
legend has it Pavel put this trophy on the highest shelf in house
this is just like that one time when doug doug slapped those 5 children for playing peglin
This messes me up that I was watching content curated by Doug longer than I've known of him and he probably personally knows a lot of people I followed in that time.
it's amazing how well this went until it didn't.
some say that years later he's still there to this day, up on that stage, holding his trophy for all to see
I remember watching dougdoug hearthstone videos what a blast from the past still heavily invested in the game since when I started 7 years ago.
I don't play it anymore myself, but I watch multiple hearthstone TH-cam channels
ah yes, trying to avoid an awkward moment created another awkward moment, esport magic
My favorite comment from Twitch Chat:
HE STILL HAD LIFE IN HIS EYES!
to be fair, he did exactly what he was told to do.
Doug's voice commands put Pavel in a T pose.
I screwed up the tournament and I screwed the tournament mean two very different things. In a similar vein, “accidentally ruined” and “porked” are not synonyms
7:16 just look how happy Doug is there on the right
That’s the most Doug Doug thing I ever heard
he had to make sure that everyone recognized his superiority in hearthstone
Bro got stuck in a timeloop holding the magic Crystal, some say he's still holding it. staring death in it's eyes.. just staring & waiting for somthing we cannot see
that face at 6:50 is just pure awkward introvert feeling awkward as hell, its just great
Me, 10 seconds into the trophy lift:
"Uh-oh."
Doug, the god of Trophy Chaos. A very niche domain but we bow regardless.
Honestly it kind of feels like an anime with how long he holds it up lol.
Well I mean. This is DougDoug, the man and place where we solve problems no one has (after immediately causing it).
It’s like that navy seal training thing where you have to keep a weight above your head while wading in water and if you drop it, you get cut from the group or something
You gotta hand at the Pavel he fucking committed to holding that trophy! Doug told him to hold the trophy and he was gonna hold that trophy!
Dude yeah this was way better than it sounded. Not as bad as it felt for you for most of us, I can promise!
Oh thank god I thought he was going to spike it
