  • How much weight can the Mavic 3 lift
    Lets find out.
    In this video I am testing the capacity the Mavic 3 has lifting weight.
    This let us know how will handle accessories and battery duration.
    I added telemetry to learn about how much amps is pulling when doing so.

    One thing to bear in mind is that as the battery gets depleted the voltage goes down and thus the (lift) power goes down, affecting the payload capacity. If you want to actually move something, it's best to test at a very low charge to ensure your drone doesn't plummet before reaching the destination.

    Maybe it would be helpful to use weights that are held tightly to the frame. I feel like that would yield more accurate results.

    Sand or water would give you more exact number and propably longer cable would limit the shaking(you can weight the bucket with the cable inside).

      My thoughts exactly!
      Edit: May as well have a parachute inverted under the drone.

    What is the MSL altitude there?
    Humidity?
    That bucket is also acting as a down-drag parachute from the prop wash.
    Flying a single tied weight instead of the parachute bucket would increase cargo lift capacity.

    Do you think the travel height and distance is affected by the payload? I wonder if I could deliver a pizza with box which would be about 400 grams to friends in the near area, let's say 1-2 kilometers and needed height will be about 50 meters max.

    44S for 4% battery lost with 538g, so 1100s for its theory max distance, 550s if you want it go home, maybe flying higher make the loss more rapidly...

      @@DroneSurf fpv drones can lift something like factor 3 of their own weight etc. more aggressive props and stronger motors (and less body parts, too), but this is why battery last much less.

      @DroneSurf  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did it preview the video and was around 198g. I forgot to include that in the video. I did weigh everything at the end.

      @@DroneSurf I think he meant you have bucket of water, i.e. 3 kg, on the scale, showing 3 kg, then you pull up with the drone and see how the weight displayed on the scale changed. That will directly show the pulling capacity of the mavic3

    • @DoubleMonoLR
      @DoubleMonoLR 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or attach a digital hanging type scale(they have a loop or hook at the top, and a hook at the bottom) to something fixed or very heavy on the ground, to the drone via a string or fishing line on the top side of the scale. They're dirt cheap, and accurate. These can sometimes also be set to record the maximum weight(or lift in this case)
