I didn't like him from the first time he met her. He was very aggressive and forceful with her. He kinda reminded me of her dad. The other guy was sweet but he abandoned her. I think she made the right choice in the end and did what she had to do to survive
@@Bittyboo14 Well I thought the point of the story was to prove that she was just an innocent yet mistreated girl. That she wasn’t the monster that the town painted her as. But her having actually murdered the guy kind of ruins the message.
@@Rose-xy5peshe was innocent he was always a threat and the power dynamic would mean that he would always be believed and not her. She saw what her dad did to her mother and she felt she had no other option. It was wrong but he would never let her be otherwise.

Also he never really showed respect to what she really wanted, which was to not be with him, she kinda seemed uncomfortable whenever she was around him even when they were kissing
@@DemonKingBadger it was such a great depiction of generational trauma and domestic violence. And I loved Daisy Edgar Jones’s character ❤️ We need more of this sort of stuff.
