  • Checking in this #FinallyFriday with a rant based on a recent (but unfortunately NOT first) experience with having to explain my normal changes to a REAL BODY. Bottom line: Whether or not a woman chooses to share her pregnancy publicly should ALWAYS be HER CHOICE and if you HAVEN'T HEARD IT... DON'T ASK!

Wassup cousins! Happy Friday! Before anyone comments... towards the end of the video I reference my Cash App jokingly, if people want to pay for tickets to my “Womb Show” lol But then I didn’t put it on the screen because I didn’t want people to think they honestly could pay any amount of money to get all in my reproductive business like that 🙄 A few months ago when I was talking about slowing down on sponsorships because of my distrust for many brands a few of you suggested I start putting my CashApp in my bio for those who want to support (like a Patreon) and I always forget to do it. So I put it in the DB... but that is NOT for knowing my “belly business”, okay? lol I love y’all and I just want people to be more mindful of the things we say to each other as women! Have a great weekend!! 🌻🌻

Same! I’m super private by nature. Even when I moved to Los Angeles, I didn’t tell *anyone* but immediate family (and by immediate I mean only my parents and siblings lol) until 2 weeks out. And even then I still didn’t tell a lot of people. I think it’s so strange how people can feel ENTITLED to the details of your life.. when honestly that’s the one true thing you have to yourself! My sister is very fit and had 2 tumors removed from her uterus a few months ago. One was the size of a baby's heads. Her 1st time going around others after recovery someone who never met her asked if she was pregnant. That really upset her. I flatlined at "win a raffle at work" 🤣 But for real social media just makes people thinking being the "first" to know or predict something gives them some super power. Its beyond me. I am with you cuzzin, I'm 39, got married in 2014 and diagnosed infertile in 2017. Many people know this and still fix their mouths to ask when I'm having a baby. It used to be hurtful, now it angers me at times. I will never understand why people feel entitled to know things so intimate about others. Sending you big ole, tight hugs from Michigan 🥰🥰

This video is on point! I’ve struggled with infertility caused by endometriosis, cysts and fibroids which caused a lot of bloating. And it was so painful when people asked me if I was pregnant and began asking intense personal questions. Even after I had surgery for my health issues I still had people ask questions about when I would have kids and get pregnant. And I was like dang can I live? Can I recover? Can I figure my life out? People have zero manners and common sense it’s all about being nosey and implanting themself in private situations they have no need to be apart of. They just like smacking they gums and gnashing teeth.

I personally waited until I was 8 months along to tell ANYONE, including my parents.. so I wholeheartedly agree with the message. But girl these ppl know what they’re doing. People (especially women) who seem ignorant enough to say these dumb things likely already KNOW it’s inconsiderate and they just don’t care. If a person knows not to ask a stranger on the street then they know not to ask a stranger online. They just simply don’t care. Basically the “keyboard warrior” mentality.

I appreciate you making this video. I’ve had several occasions of people getting all up in my uterus when it’s not their business.
There’s a particular older woman who would always ask when I planned on starting a family anytime I’d see her. I would always be “polite” and give some surface level response. She then had the AUDACITY to ask me again after my grandmas funeral! I told that lady off right there in that church. She’d finally caught me on the right day. It’s sad that women have to explain this to OTHER WOMEN, but it’s never okay to ask such intrusive questions of someone!

I've always had a bigger stomach and I'm also petite and smaller at other parts in my body. I totally get the whole "mind ya business" because my family would always assume I'm pregnant because my stomach is bigger than the other parts of my body. I can't stand people who feel they have a right to know everything about a person's personal life. Like, focus on healing your trauma instead of getting involved in other people's lives to feel better about your own life.

When I hear things like this, it makes me leery of starting to make youtube videos even though I know it will be helpful for my career to establish myself as an expert in the scientific field and on the topic of hair care.
There's so many plastic women out here that people have forgotten what real women are supposed to look like. Instagram is the worst when it comes to this. I refuse to play into that mess by wearing waist trainers and killing myself with crazy exercise routines or getting surgery to get a certain unrealistic body shape. That's why it's so unhealthy for people to be using those filters or photoshopping. It just further plays into their insecurities and unrealistic body images.
There's a TH-camr by the name of Dephne Madyara who just released a book this year called The Art of Being Private. I haven't read it yet, it just arrived about a week ago. But it touches on the topic of living a private life as a follower of Christ in a social media age. I can't even stand it when my extended family members get nosy especially the ones who have a copycat spirit on them. I know their attempts to look concerned are really just opportunities to get into other people's business so I usually just ignore them, in typical introverted fashion lol

It's part of the reason I belive in keeping a small social media circle. Also your sentiment about normal bodies and normalizing seeing them got me thinking of anotherthing you can add to why someone may look pregnant. I went to PT school and found out I have a more pronounced lumbar spinal curvature than normal-linked to my posture, being a 32G on a 4'11" frame, and flat feet. It increases the look of my belly pounch. Sad to say when I was younger and less heavy I got questioned if I was pregnant. Now i am married and 20lbs heavier than my high school self and dreading to be asked more than ever. 🙃

Yessss! People don't know that if a woman miscarry late, she still has to deliver the baby. I experienced a woman having to go through this when I was in labor in the next room. It was heart wrenching for me to hear her cries. 🥺

I needed to hear this today. Tell them cousin. My husband and I have been married for 5 years and struggling with conceiving. The questions and comments from family and friends are very hurtful. I am usually somebody who is always ready with a clapback but with that topic I usually don’t know how to respond. 😔😔

Although, I definitely feel like a part of your family, I do feel that what you share, or not share, is completely your business. You have such a beautiful spirit!🤗🤗🤗🤗 As for those all up in ya womb, BLOCK, BLOCK, AND BLOCK

This is a GREAT video! I follow an influencer who's baby is 6-7 months and she's been EXTREMELY transparent about how a REAL WOMEN'S BODY changes through pregnancy & AFTER pregnancy. She was extremely petite prior to getting pregnant and it's a breath of fresh air & I'm sure it wasn't easy to show, just like you said, she looked pregnant even after birth.
Social media brings out the most cruel and harsh comments I've ever seen and 1) It's sad 2) It's sickening 3) It's unbelievable
    TY for your transparency ❤

  • @ADORIASINGS4YOU

Oooh Child.❤❤ I had a whole conversation about this last week. HUGE pet peeve. I love when people do this type of video. Another influencer did one, and she said "I didn't ask" for body advice. I asked a man to consider deleting his IG comment to a journalist because he complimented her hair by COMPLETELY insulting her previous look. 🤦🏿‍♀️ A couple of weeks ago someone expressed how much she loved someone then ended the positive FB post with how she didn't like someone else because she thought the other person had "self-esteem issues". 🤯 OMG! We can do better. Not every negative thought has to be posted. 🛑EVERYONE has feelings and more going on than we see. 🙏🏿

THIS VIDEO WAS EVERYTHING!!!! First, I NEVER comment and felt the need to do so, so that’s saying something. So many people made me feel guilty for not making my pregnancy and my child a public broadcast. Even today. I dealt with SO many emotions. I was even called into my general manager’s office at work because people complained that I was rude for not sharing pictures of MY baby. Smh. People I would’ve otherwise NEVER SPOKEN TO....(I worked there for 3 years already and never spoke to these ppl). Anyway, ppl need to hear all this truth and if you don’t get it, check yourself. YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO ANYBODY’S BUSINESS!!!!! Even beyond the subject of pregnancy and children...privacy and boundaries are HEALTHY...not shade.
WHEEEW...Lemme stop preaching chile....thanks for posting!

Hello 🤗. Also telling a woman or asking them if they are pregnant could trigger something else that they are going through. Such as a eating disorder, depression, etc. Everything that you said was on point. Nothing is wrong with our normal bodies. I hope that your foot is healing like it’s supposed too. Getting around can be annoying
