I’m at my work portal, just listening to your advice and plans and it really gives me relief to know I can do this too. Just 9 months or so and I’m done with it
There's a lot to learn, but a lot of help available as well! If you'd like me to do a video on something specific, let me know and if I can't, I can point you in the right direction. There's a learning curve, but then it keeps getting easier! I have six more months of prep to share before I head out myself!
@@cambodiyeah1 Thanks Man, I’m thinking of healthy things to get into, I’m not into heavy drinking but I would be interested in info on live music and open mic. I was thinking of taking up the bass meeting up with if there’s a amateur music group
@@michaelirish1445 I know there are open mics and live shows at Star Bar and there are a few other places with live bands. Check out the Siem Reap expat groups on Facebook for events and to meet up with people. Siem Reap Expat Connection, Food and Nightlife in Siem Reap, Star Bar in Siem Reap, Siem Reap Expats 2.0, Wat's Up!
Hi! New subscriber. I am about 1 yr. from getting out and have had my eye on Cambodia for some time now. I'll be checking out your other videos. You have some good information and a good life plan. Happy travels and looking forward to your next video.
Same here. Where are you planning to settle. Me, I first want it a bit smaller and a bit less touristy(?) Kampot. Let's meet up and exchange whereabouts 😊
Welcome to Siem Reap. Did you bring your guitar? First song , the sun rises in the West. Some apartments don't have a range hood in the kitchen, not good for cooking. I prefer Wat music to drunken karaoke, but they did wake us up at 5 this morning with an Om Tuk chant.
I'm not there yet, but I'll have to wait to bring my guitar until I visit America again and then return with it. I'll also be buying one after I get there.
Very brave to put yourself out thier on TH-cam. Just wondering if you have got any thoughts and recommdations for Facebook expat groups in Cambodia? Joyful New Year
Yes, however, the ones I frequent are more specifically for Siem Reap, but a few are for Cambodia in general. Here are a few (besides the ones in the video description): Siem Reap Expat Connection, Siem Reap Foodies, Food and Nightlife in Siem Reap, Siem Reap Expats 2.0, Cambodia Expats, Expats Cambodia, Expats in Cambodia, Cambodia Expats and Locals. I hope this helps!
Thanks for Getting back to me. Its a big deal leaving a home country and having a facebook group that hopfully can connect us not just on a pc but fund raiser nights etc and hopefully make some lasting friendships. @@cambodiyeah1
Appreciate the info. -- curious where you live now ? -- I'm in Ky. near Lexington & really very seriously considering a move to SR myself. -- Seems ideal for me. If my health allows I will be going next year sometime. -- Take care and good luck with your efforts to get there !
Most vids like this show the apartments. But, thanks for the basic information. I assume the apartments you reference generally require 6 month leases?

Yay way better volume on the audio! Also neat info!
Thank you! I'm working on better quality. Just wait until I get to Cambodia and get to take footage of everything there!

1. What is the timestamp on the prices that you mention? 2. Security is key

Is siem reap cheaper than phnom Penh?
Just slightly. Rent is pretty much in the same range.
I enjoy your work. Thanks, I have to wait to finish a promise in my Family. See you in person in two months.
Thank you! I hope everything goes well! I'll be in Cambodia in mid May.
Thanks, just subscribed
Thank you, and welcome! I hope my channel is of help!

Yeah, there are very few places that do month-to-month. Six months is a general minimum.
hi north east portion sounds interesting could you please let me know the name of that area like wet bro,Svay Dangkum etc, thank you.
The northeast part is Slor Kram, southeast is Sala Kamreuk (Wat Bo), southwest is Svay Dangkum, and northwest is Kouk Chak.
Fyi, electronic equipment is much more expensive in Asia than in the US. I never knew the sun rises in the west. When did that happen?
They are! I cover that here: th-cam.com/video/TIZZ9fjF50g/w-d-xo.html
could you please give me the area name where wet market is so i can look for my apartment that area? thank you.
There are wet markets all over town. Wherever you move, you won't be very far from one. Plus, a tuktuk ride is cheap anywhere in town.
