Gary is turning 60 next week (aug 6). Like I always say: All these Ppop boy & girl groups that we have now? They all stand on the shoulders of THE Gary V. Singer, dancer, composer, producer, instrumentalist, rapper. He does it all. Stell may be my bias now but Gary is my OG bias. That’s why this iconic moment seeing them both on stage singing THAT song is a dream come true for me. I was there. I had to see it live.
By the way, Stell and the ForTenors sang a little known song, which is a favorite of mine, by Basil Valdez called “Salamin ng Buhay” accompanied by a cellist. It showcased Stell’s baritone range this time. Pls do check it out some time. 😊
julie anne san jose and gary valenciano has multiple collaboration already prior to this guesting. they did a song collaboration titled di ka akin which is composed by julie anne and a jollibee commercial jingle for the 45th anniversary. julie anne recently guested in gary v concert in moa as well which such an awesome guesting they dance together and sing sana maulit muli as well.
The two days concert of Julie & Still is just so overwhelming. I was there both days. Julie & Stell brings out the best on each other. Julie has regained her spark from almost 10 years ago when she was peaking as a teen star. I thought she has reached her peak, but this time, she I believe she can go higher. She's simply a reliable singer, what ever song, she can own it and deliver wonderfully. Same with Stell, even though a newbie solo artist, with Julie, he has solidified his own solo career. This man is unstoppable, he will conquer more in terms of being a solo artist. They complement each other. I hope they will bring this concert into a wider audience, and into the world.

JuliexStell 2-day sold-out concert was probably one of the most satisfying concerts this year because of their song choices. They were literally the ultimate OPM playlist. One of the most iconic moments was the encore where Stell and Julie rapped, and Stell took on Gloc-9's mouthful of words that seemed like they were at double speed and spanned what seemed like forever. It's insane that he can do everything, it's scary! I hope you can check out that performance as well.

Between the 2 nights of Stell and Julie's concert, they also had like over 50 songs that they had to sing. Lol It was astounding what they did, simply amazing.

I watched their Day 2 concert and it was really amazing. Gary V. the Mr. Pure Energy never aged as if he's still in his thirties.
Gary V is a diabetic and had heartbypass a few years ago. Unbelievable how he can still dance like that.

Stell was amazing. He sang a song with fortenors and i was surprised that he sang with that low big voice.
I love people who know how to harmonize and complement with the people they sing with.
Any concert of Julie Anne is worth watching. What more if you add Stell and Gary V. Btw, Gary V and Julie Anne had also a collab song
he is mr pure energy.. he is the IT guy when i was in elementary and high school.. I'm 48.. so you can do the math.. he did not change at all.. he has Type 1 diabetes and insulin dependent.. so he really takes care of his health .. and he did not age at all.. if you have seen how he dances back during my time..

I watched Gary V's concert in Toronto last yr., and boy, he can still danced energetically as he was in the early 80's when I watched his first concert in Cebu, Philippines(my uni days). His voice is even better & stronger now than when he was younger.

Yeah, it's one of Gary's hits... the Tagalog lyrics was written by Angel Pangilinan, his wife. The original lyrics was written by Gary in English because he can't write in full Tagalog and he wrote it for Julie Vega, when she died in 1985. He didn't release the original English version because he made a promise to the parents of Julie Vega that he won't want to make money from it because it was inspired by Julie's death. That's why Angeli wrote a whole new different lyrics in Tagalog using the same background music and Gary sang it. Then there was a version of Regine Velasquez years after which made Gary V cry during her concert and he was in the audience, if my memory serves me right👍😊

Gary doesn't look like grandpa age at all. Still moves snappy and fluidly. He really is "Mr. Pure Energy" as he's known.

I was on row 2. I went there for Stell. I even forgot all the guests. Then they performed Gento. I was confused why they lined and the stage opened, what the?!! Gary V?! Singing, dancing and rapping whole Gento?! My God.. The highlight of the night. The best performance I've watched live in my life so far.

The last time I saw Gary was in LA a year after his heart bypass, and you cant even tell he had it by the way he performed that night. This performance with Stell & Julie is one for the books fantastic! Anyways kuddos to whoever thought of Gary's outfit here, they were able to hide his glucose monitor through the arm band. It showed a little bit when he was dancing to gento, but still looks cool.
Thank you for this! This was really history! Gary V was my idol in the 90s..i can remember his hit song Hataw Na and his dance moves... His not Mr. pure Energy for nothing. This performance brought me to tears! Gary V singing Gento my 90s meet the present!

I watch this performance many times already 'coz I can't get enough of it. That' s why I feel you when you said it's your favorite perf this year. Agree👍👌. This was how I felt when I heard Gary sang this several years ago and when I heard the beautiful rendition of it by Regine Velasquez years later which made Gary V cried because he was in the audience. Gary. V and Martin Nievera, by the way, both have much respect to Regine, they're both fans😁 ad now Gary's giving that to two of the best singers of this generation. 😊👌❤️

I was at this concert and honestly, it was probably the best concert of the year for me (yes that includes SB19’s pagtatag finale). They are just insane. It didn’t feel at all like 2.5 hours. It went by like 30 minutes 😭

Our boys singing with the greats. A few days before this, Pablo was a guest on Dingdong Avanzado's (Jayda's dad) concert and they also did an OPM duet.
Gary V was the original King of Pop of the Philippines, he is so loved by people because of his besutiful, high range voice, he is humble like SB19, he has beautiful personality. He never had a single issue through out his carreer and a no1 fan of the boys ❤
