Advice ko lagi sa mga closet is work on their counter arguments, watch lots of debates and learn from it. You've gotta answer them kasi sa level ng understanding nila. Then darating 'yung time na sila na mismo 'yung magtatanong. Nandyan na kasi talaga 'yung mga close minded peeps, tayo na lang talaga mag-aadjust, kelangan hangga't maari i-voice out pa rin ang side natin pero sa paraang maiintindihan nila.

Since lahat ng moral values dito sa mundo sa tao lang din naman nanggaling (theism claims their morals come from the bible, pero tao lang din naman nagsulat ng bible), then it follows na all moral systems and values are inherently subjective. Pero, once you have a specific basis like well being, then pwede ka na mag formulate ng moral evaluation which can be objective. For example, kung well being of humanity ang moral basis ko, then it is objectively true na ang rape ay mali, since we can assess for certain na ang rape ay nakaka harm ng wellbeing ng isang tao. So in short, moral basis is subjective. Well being ang basis ko kasi gusto ko lang to, wala naman nasusulat sa nature na human well being is morally good. There is no absolute talaga to judge our actions as good or bad or right or wrong. We are just struggling with power to make people think what is good or bad. Perhaps that's why we have laws because we attempt to organise this mess of a shit

Pero who says kelangan natin sundin ito? Numerous cultures are not following these evolutionary tendencies and have resorted to violence and human sacrifices, neither of which conforms to our "evolutionary code." It is perhaps the frustration of humanity nung earlier times na they can't do anything to make the weather better para sa crops nila. (hurt others to get food, beating his wife to get the behavior that he desires, suntukan dahil nag-away at ayaw sumunod ng kaaway) But still, all of this does not necessarily mean na morals are merely subjective. We still have a common ground like the preservation of life. Sa mga suicide bombers, they going for the afterlife (lmao), then sa mga suicidal, nasa biology naman yan. Not every person is going to turn out exactly the same ofc. Kaya naman as we evolve, ofc sobrang bagal nito it takes like thousand years to make a very very small change, pero we still have in common sa dna natin na we TEND to be reminded on what we ought to do. Nevertheless, that is still a source of objective morality because that is what we have in common as homo sapiens.
Sa palagay ko, marapat na mang galing ang moral ng isang tao sa isang virtue na tinatawag nating Empathy. Empathy is putting yourself in the shoes of another person, meaning that you are trying to get what his/her perspective is. With this in mind, we should apply the golden rule, "do not do unto others what you don't want to be done unto you." This is where my personal morality comes from, for example, I don't want to be raped, so what do I do? I don't rape other people. Because by empathizing with rape victims, and seeing how grim being in that situation is, therefore I can make the conclusion that I would not subject other people unto the same experience. If you cannot determine what is right and what is wrong, you lack empathy, not religion.

Actually, that's the exact reason why I've started this channel. I'm an artist and I always listen to The Atheist Experience and JRE(podcast) while working. One day, na-umay ako sa english content, nag-hanap ako ng tagalog content about atheism. To my surprise, can't even find one. May mga mangilan-ngilang debates but that's 'bout it. Then I thought, welp, I guess I'm gonna have to create one. 😂
Nagkataon lang I'm surrounded by open-minded people including my family and close friends. Hehe Pero madami nang vocal sa atheism nila today, compared these past few years. 💃

Paano natin maaatim ang secular community? Sa constitution palang nakalagay sa preamble na we implore the aid of god. So sa sec. 16 ng local government code kasama rin sa general welfare ang promotion of public morals. Dapat kasi walang kinikilingan ang batas pagdating sa pag iimpose ng theistic morality. Nagmumukha kasing theocratic ang bansa kapag ganun so sa settings palang ng batas natin may loophole na kaya anjan na yung bible month act. Bible ordinance act. Or any other resolutions na pumapabor sa theistic morality.
@@joseflorenciojr.4346 I think the problem does not belong to the letter of the law. Sadyang puro theist lang ang mga politicians and marami sa kanila ang hindi inintindi ang ibang batas. That's why may mga ganyang bill na lumalabas. Once it has been a law through some reason, a case can be filed in the supreme court to review if the law contradicts against the constitution.
Sorry but Morality it seems is not up to our subjective perspectives. There is objective morality, all aspects of it are not yet clear cut as we would like but we live in a definite world and the agents of reality that we are have clear lines upon how we should behave. I say most of what we may consider moral or not can be based of biology.

That's why may mga ganyang bill na lumalabas. Once it has been a law through some reason, a case can be filed in the supreme court to review if the law contradicts against the constitution.

Sorry but Morality it seems is not up to our subjective perspectives. There is objective morality, all aspects of it are not yet clear cut as we would like but we live in a definite world and the agents of reality that we are have clear lines upon how we should behave. I say most of what we may consider moral or not can be based of biology.

It is subjective. Because it's a social construct. It's something we, humans invented - a product of reason and logic hence why animals don't have it.

^ If it's not clear yet then why believe it? We can't have a moral pinacle and moral standards if we can't comprehend objective morality. This is why(if you watch the video), we should start with a collective agreement for well-being as benchmark, then 'objectively' examine the moral evaluation for it(well-being).
