Sypno Tech Hardware wise: they can make the bezels smaller on the smaller variant and maybe make the speakers a little louder. Software wise: just keep up with the great software updates.
Hardware requests: -Wireless charging - the type that doesn't require very close proximity. -Wireless audio adapter for a 3.5mm headset. Like, a necklace style thing that you can plug an old headset into. -IR camera, or at least a primary sensor that can see into the deep IR (could also be used for subcutaneous pattern recognition). -An option for a larger battery, which is a wish I have for almost all new phones. I want a phone that's bigger in my hands as well, so a 6Ah battery would be about right. Would definitely pay more for that. This whole thin-phone thing drives me nuts. Not everyone is average or small, so for big guys a skinny little slippery phone is something to be handled with too much thought. -Built-in LoRaWAN transceiver. -Free battery replacement (labor). -Built-in IR LED (for phone to be used as a remote) -Wireless HDMI/DP. I'd like to be able to plug a dongle into my monitor, sit the phone nearby, and use it as a desktop computer (BT keyboard and mouse). Would also be convenient for using with video display devices without needing a head unit. Pie-in-the-sky requests: (for the Pixel 15 lol!) -Variable texture screen. So I can feel buttons or have a type of haptic interface. -Hardware wallet for crypto -Zero buttons. Almost the whole phone body could be a touch sensor/display. -Somewhat flexible chassis. Like 1cm thick rubber block. -LIDAR, but LED based. -Hardware expansion standard. A method to interface with hardware contained in a phone case to extend functionality. For example, a case could contain a geiger counter, a satellite interface, a solar panel, an extended battery, a car adapter (a stand sized case on the rear, with phone-specific case size on the front; acts as a hardware interface for a vehicle, allowing any phone to be slotted into the dash for example, or used as a generic 'robot brain'). Imagine you get home to be greeted by your slowly plodding, zombie-like, robotic dog. It approaches you and bows its head, waiting for you to insert its real brain (your phone). As soon as you do, the robot springs to life and acts.. well, kinda like a real dog (or whatever you want it to act like). Hey, I'd like to take my phone for a walk!! Don't judge me ;) -Weather station. Barometric sensor, temp, humidity, and AI that uses the cameras to guess at wind-speed when pointed at objects like trees and flags or grass or smoke. Yes, that would require a high degree of general intelligence, but could be done. Could also apply the tech to judge speeds of moving vehicles, including aircraft flying overhead. -Waterproof to 100m; drop-proof for 10m -Software-defined radio -ultrasound transducer -Mesh-network capability. Another hardware standard that would allow the phone to reach out to other nearby computing devices to augment its processing power. It could also be called upon by other computing devices. Imagine sitting in a cinema or mass-transit vehicle, or anywhere many phones tend to gather, and consider the combined computing power. -Pico-projector built in, using liquid lenses. -OLED/quantum-dot screen that can also act as a solar panel -EMP hardened -Retinal laser projector -Heart rate monitor / blood-glucose sensor (using absorption of wavelengths for glucose, and desaturated hemoglobin) -Imprinting. Biometric identifiers, like facial, subdermal facial, fingerprint, voice-print, retinal scan, body-language scan, all taken over a period of time until the phone is certain it can identify you with 5-sigma accuracy. It will then prompt for a 'burn-in' that locks these features into hardware (like an old EPROM) that can only be changed by the manufacturer. The phone could also be coded with several other people's biometric IDs as a sort of will in case of death. No matter what, if the phone is in the wrong hands it'll be useless. Software ideas: -sorry, too many to list ;)
Great review! I wish this phone got as much coverage as the XL version. I agree with you as to maybe shrinking the top and bottom bezels or slide the speaker grills towards the top/bottom and extend the display to 2:1. Hopefully Google won't increase the footprint because I prefer the smaller form factor. I love the dual front facing speakers but improve the sound quality with more mid to low range. Battery life is good but would love to have a 3000mah battery to push it towards greatness. Otherwise, I LOVE THIS PHONE!!!
I my Pixel 2 at christmas and I love it! so snappy and fast, great camera, Yes the bezels arn't the nicest but I don't find them that great an issue. Great all rounded phone!
Nice review. Really enjoy the content your channel puts out. Thumbs up. I'm enjoying both pixels. The battery life of the small one surprised me. It's really good considering the size.
This was an awesome review!!! Would you recommend me get this over the iPhone 8? I am tired of Apple, but I’m afraid to be let down by Android’s inability to communicate like my iPhone does with all my friends and family, who now, all have iPhones.
Ok so let me know if you agree... Out of the box there is a USB c to USB c cord... That's it. I have no way to charge this from anything other than the wall charger it came with, isn't that messed up. It comes with an adapter to switch the port at the bottom of the phone to regular USB but that doesn't help me much. I also had an issue connecting a Bluetooth jbl speaker to it.
Krispy Kleen It's a trend that companies have been moving towards and will gradually be the norm. Lots of new laptops, monitors and pcs starting in 2016 have at least one USB C port so that cable can work with them. If you have older tech, you're out of luck until you upgrade :/
It uses PD charging. Power Delivery charging is better than Qualcomm Quick charging because PD doesn't damage the battery like Quick Charge does. You can Google it. You'll be grateful to Google for doing this
Nice coverage as always! The rear camera would be one of the best if they could exclude the excessive red tint and give accurate colors. Maybe a software update can fix. It's only evident if you put it's pictures on same monitor with same picture by IPhone X, Samsung S8, Note, or HTC U11.
atl3630 I don't have one and also can't brag on most of my phones' cameras. It's most noticeable on skin tones, and only in side by side comparison on PC display pictures to eliminate phone screen differences. But picture quality is pretty amazing compared to most phone cameras. Peace
Sypno Tech I can't move one I really need my phone to be able to charge while I listen to music with my headphones AT THE SAME TIME, it's crucial for me since I use my phone for work but when I have a little bit of time while doing reports or replying emails I like to listen to music and I can't do that if my phone is dying, the struggle is real for me on this one
QOTD: What can Google do to improve for the Pixel 3?

Smaller bezels, remove camera bump, accent colors for power buttons, Wireless charging
Wireless charging
More colors
More carriers!!!!
Integrate Allo and Duo into all Android devices! (Not an option)
Oh... Did I mention more carriers???

darkmanx2g Thanks! Glad to hear you're having a good experience with both the Pixel and our channel! :)

Love this review
Downtown Brea! 💙💙
Who was that other girl in your pictures? Great Review girl.
Robert Leal Her name is Christina. She was just Instagram modeling for us haha
If Samsung can release a standard and large size with small bezels on both then why can't Google.
Sergio Carreto Very good questions. Most likely Google would say they have front facing speakers, but still they could have trimmed it down.
It would cost google more to do that. They want those profits
I’m sticking to my iPhone 7.
i have smaller pixel 2, I've noticed the display is warmer, is it normal?

Scott Mannear I see the most accurate colors from the pixel. Well, except for the u11, that one has a crazy good camera.

I have the iPhone X but I’m getting the pixel 2 next week mainly because of the camera and stock android
cubbz5 You’ll be loosing lots of camera features if you switch.....
Great review and fun to see more girls doing tech reviews, *subscribed* :)
This phone would be perfect for me if it had 3.5 mm jack :(
Hector De La Torre I share your pain, but alas we must move on :c
