    Just got my Evo D Lab 10m from you guys about 3 weeks ago. This kite makes a performance statement. Aluula kites are a different breed and this one is a ton of fun. Hit a PR (43') the second time I took it out... super gusty 18-30+knts and this kite was insane. It can take a ridiculous wind range (more than published). It handles the punchy gusts very nicely. Retains its shape/composure and boosts like a beast. Very responsive and direct feeling...very nice when boosting/sending and staying afloat/downloops/landing....it does it all at my skill level at least. Those megaloopers will love it i'm sure...sadly my skill isn't there yet. A 2 kite quiver is much easier to travel with too.

      out of curiosity how much do you trim it?

    • @michaelbenedetti945
      @michaelbenedetti945 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sauce25 on the gusty day I had it trimmed about halfway on the click bar for part of the session. Kept it at full power for a lot of the session and just dealt with the gusts. That was the only time I’ve trimmed it.

    That is exactly the type of review I love : fun, interesting but very honest !
    I liked when you give your own opinion "that is my favorite kite I've ever ridden" and "the price is crazy". For once, it is not like "this kite is good but this one is also good, it is a matter of personnal preference".
    Keep going with your great work !!!

    I have flown a ton of kites… this is by far the best kite I have ever flown. Refined usable power. Boosts like a boss. Loops are amazing. Range is ludicrous. Cost is high, but it’s worth every fu**in* penny. U can do a two kite quiver instead of 3. The end of the video says it all. If u can drive a Lamborghini, u should!!

      Is there any kites can beat the powerful performance of EVO DLAB?

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, it's great to hear that you're enjoying your kite so much! It sounds like you have found a kite that really suits your style and preferences. It's always exciting to find a kite that performs exceptionally well and can do everything you need it to.
      While the cost may be high, it's important to remember that quality often comes with a price tag. If you find a kite that you really love, it's worth investing in it so that you can get the most out of your time on the water. Plus, as you mentioned, having a two-kite quiver instead of three can help streamline your gear and make your time on the water more enjoyable.
      It's great to see that the kite has such a strong recommendation from you, and we hope you continue to enjoy it for many more sessions to come. 🤙🏽 Good winds! -Aaron

      The EVO DLAB is a high-performance kite designed for advanced riders who demand the best in terms of power, agility, and control. While there are many other kites on the market that offer excellent performance in their own right, the EVO DLAB is truly one of a kind. Good winds to you. -Aaron

    Great review! But @Duotone, where's the 14 & 15 Evo D/Lab? I own 5 current Evos (2 SLS, 3 reg). I was really looking forward to larger Evo D/Labs (a 15 Evo D/Lab to replace my 15 Rebel SLS). Sorry, not as interested in the Juices.

      @@MACkiteboarding So that's interesting. What shape and bridle differences did they make between them? When I last tried the new Juice (before Aluula), I didn't like it as much as my Rebel 15 SLS. I felt the bar throw with the Rebel was much longer and got me out of the hole in lighter winds better. And of course the boost was also much better with the Rebel. So my question is, how is the Juice different from the Evo, because I find the doesn't have as much throw as the Rebel, but it does boost very well? The Evo definitely turns faster because of its bridle system (I'm assuming).

    Hi, great review!
    But between a Juice D/Lab and the Evo D/Lab which one would you recommend for a beginner that has finished his first course and kites in a beach that averages 10-11 knots of wind? Thank you

      10 to 11 knots of wind? with what type of board - a twin tip? not much fun to be had on any kite and a twin tip in that level of wind. and what weight are you?

    • @PaulMatiX
      @PaulMatiX ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi,
      To make things clear : I absolutely love this kite!
      To answer to you : I'd never buy such a kite as a beginner because you still have to earn confidence while manipulating it on the beach, not dropping it too much in the water...etc And you won't be able to use its capabilities.
      To reuse their metaphore : would you buy a Lambo straight after getting your license?

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the compliment! When it comes to choosing between the Juice D/LAB and the EVO D/LAB, it's important to consider your skill level and riding goals.
      The Juice D/LAB is a dedicated light wind kite that is designed to perform exceptionally well in low wind conditions, making it a great option for beginners who are still developing their skills and need a kite that can get them up and riding in lighter winds.
      On the other hand, the EVO D/LAB is a high-performance kite designed for intermediate to advanced riders who demand the best power, agility, and control. While it can perform well in light winds, it may be more challenging to fly and control for beginners still learning the basics.
      Based on your description of riding in an area with 10-11 knots of wind, the Juice D/LAB may be the better choice for you as a beginner. We hope this helps, and happy kiting! 🤙🏽 Good winds! -Aaron

    • @huzcer

      In such a low level of wind I would honestly look into learning kite foiling and also use a specific foil kite. 10 to 11 knots is very low.
