Very interesting documentary, unfortunately partially ruined by the disastrous audio dubbing over the original french speech. Please rectify, if possible. Thanks.

The voice-over should be louder than the person talking.

Sadly nobody has sound checked this one. Ruined. Such a shame.

This was incredibly informative but like many of the people in the comments, the audio dubbing was awful. This is a simple fix with editing in most interfaces. Would you upload the video again without the translation so loud or with the English a bit louder so we can hear?

Teotihuacan was abandoned for over 500 years before the Mexica (Aztecas from Aztlan) arrive in the Mexican basin where they find it completely in ruins and uninhabited. Teotihuacan is Epi-Classic Mesoamerica and the Aztec are Late terminal Post-Classic. Like the Classic Greeks and hundreds of years later the Roman Empire. Not the same but distantly related through time and culture.

Mexican here, Teotihuacan (the pyramids shown in the miniature, were not Meshica by any way, it belonged to another civilization) the Aztecs were the tribe that emigrated from mythical Aztlan, however when they established in what is now Mexico City they were known as Meshicas

The audio overlay is so bad it makes this unwatchable. I wish it wasn't so hard to listen to, because the content is actually good, but it's just impossible to listen to.

Don't think I've ever heard an overlaid translation done quite so badly. IF you want both tracks intelligible at equal volume then the added translation needs to be in a different register: like overwriting a page of blue text with red text so both are clear. What you've done here is overwritten black text with more black text. The result is "crowd noise" - just get them to say "rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb" and save the cost of translation.

Cannot watch. It's so simple to mute the speaker and hear the translated voice over but it wasn't done.

The history of the indigenous peoples in the Americas is much, much older than a few thousand years. The Hopi people tell that they arrived in the America’s about 30,000 years ago when the continent that they were living on, Lemuria, sank under water. We judge the Maya, Aztecs, Inca’s and others on the traces that we find. But when we dig our way from the present to the past, we must know that the Earth is suffering from a cycle of seven recurring natural disasters. That is told in the Popol Vuh. These disasters create a cycle of civilizations. There are four primitive civilizations, sometimes mentioned a sun or world era. The next civilization lives in the fifth sun. This becomes eventually a high developed civilization that disappeared 20,000 years ago due to a recurring, thus predictable but inescapable disaster that is caused by the ninth planet in our solar system. This high developed civilizations has built sturdy monuments all over the world and they must have buried knowledge about themselves and the world history deep in the ground. Like Chitzén Itzá and the Great Pyramid. After them the cycle starts again with four primitive civilizations. We again live in the fifth sun. The so cold Venus platform is dedicated to this ninth planet that is known in Mexico with many names. Tonatiuh and Quetzalcoatl are just a few. The Aztec sun stone is a warning for this recurring disaster. When you do not know about this cycle, history remains a mystery. To learn much more about planet 9, the recurring flood cycle and its timeline, the rebirth of civilizations and ancient high technology, read the e-book: "Planet 9 = Nibiru". This book answers many of your questions about ancient history. It can be read on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Search: planet 9 roest

Not sure why a French people are being interviewed about the Aztecs.
Shouldn't they interview the descendents of Aztecs, such as the Natual?

  • @nemo6686

Sorry, but the terrible sound balance made the interviews barely intelligible; I didn't even get six minutes in and gave up. Shame, as it looked interesting otherwise.

You need to re-do this video and fix the audio on the English translations of the French scholars. You need to lower the volume on the French way down. The English and the French volumes are too close and are unintelligible. This is tragic because the French scholars are excellent. But nobody can understand them. Too much work went into this not to fix it.

The voices in the original language (French) should not be at the same level as the translated ones; it is very confusing and it sounds amateurish. Too bad because it's a very interesting documentary. But dubbing sucks; sorry.

There are too many false statements in the first 4 minuets to count, I had to turn it off because of no educational content. Photographs of cities like Teotihuacán that were abandoned hundreds of years before the Aztecs arrived in the Valley of Mexico in the 13 th century. Talking about Aztec warriors and then showing photos of a Maya warrior... Get your facts straight...

Sad to see a non native tell the history of a people that doesn't belong to them. This is how culture is lost when it's not told by it's true people.
