- Day 1 in Vegas was a busy day! We checked into the @cosmopolitanlasvegas to drop off our luggage and headed to Planet Hollywood to grab our new Platinum card. Then it was off to @wynnlasvegas to tier match, but not without a few stops along the way. We closed out the day with dinner at the amazing Carbone in Aria - a truly amazing experience!

It’s definitely great! I will say the North end of the strip is growing on us. Resorts World, Wynn/Encore, Fontainbleau.. great spots too!

We always I mean always sit at the bar , and the experience with the bartender and the conversation and service is impeccable , my husband years ago was like no way , now as we are older , he’s like only a bar man for dinner . Another great review❤

Awesome vlog guys! I always enjoy the mix of sights, sounds, slots and food that you have in your videos! Great rooms at Cosmo. I enjoyed the strip walk and seeing some new slot games along the way. Simone and I love Istanbul Mediterranean at the Bazar Shops! It's always a great choice and never to busy. It reminds me of an Iraqi place we have here in our town. Carbone looked so good. I am not a fancy diner but the food at Carbone looked amazing! I wish my husband had the desire to go to Vegas, he is not a traveler lol he’s a homebody but Vegas is my happy place 😊 what a great first day

I’m surprised that bar tenders allowed you to sit without throwing them a $50.00 bill. Carbones is amazing but you can never get a reservation. Even if you book a party of two and your guest can’t make it, they won’t allow you to sit at a table by yourself. Last two experiences with the bar tenders, I don’t recommend sitting at the bar. Apparently, they allow their “locals” to occupy the seats that have the reserved sign in its place. Surprisingly, on a recent Las Vegas Knights game, the locals dressed one step better than the homeless, were allowed to sit at the bar, however, if you’re in a dress/pant suit with your guest in a blazer and shoes, they’ll tell you that you don’t meet their “dress” code. What a bunch of crap.
Wow! Our experience was great. We were promptly seated at the bar and taken care of. We did tip at the end, but didn’t have to front anything just to be seated.
WOW!!!! Awesome video. I subscribed to you guys. Super clear quality, excellent editing and you hit alot of places and most of all ITS UP TO DATE. I see so many videos on here about Vegas that are 1-3 years old. I noticed the people that get alot of hits is when they say what casino they are in and mention lots of different casinos while walking on the strip. So many people traveling to Vegas this summer. Its good to know bottles water is cheapest at ABC stores. CVS and Walgreens are good too. And the cheapest ATM machine is on the 3rd floor of the M&M store it has a $2 fee. Casino Royale ATM has a $3 fee. Thanks for sharing your videos. Keep up the good work. Maybe you could do a walk through the strip at night. May want to stay away from FreakMont St at night. lol lol Thanks again.

What a great surprise to see this. I just got home today from six nights in Vegas. I agree that April in Vegas is perfect weather wise. On this trip, we stayed four nights in the Aria Sky Suites. If you have never experienced it, you need to. It was beyond amazing! I can't wait to see day two!

Hey guys, do good you were able to take advantage of the recent tier match promos, makes me so sad we live so far away as we're just missed out on all these offers. We are back in the fall but obviously we will miss out on matching offers. You guys had some good food, Chris loves a gyros but we haven't tried Istanbul Med yet and Carbone looked unreal 🤤🤤🤤 we love a good Italian so will definitely have to add it to our list. 1664 is a great beer I’m glad you got to try it! They also do a wheat beer called 1664 Blanc which I managed to find in some liquor stores and bars but yet to find it on tap outside of Europe! If you like wheat beer like Blue Moon or Mango Cart give it a try!! Also that French toast looks divine! I’ve gotta try it soon, maybe next trip!

I love the Carbone experience and 💯 agree with all of it. I went in March and sat at the bar - I almost always sit at the counter and really enjoy it. The little dishes they bring out before the meal are such a nice touch to the experience and good to have with a cocktail or wine while perusing the menu. I had the lobster ravioli too and was really surprised at how much lobster they packed in and on the dish (Hey George the ocean called!! 🤣) and the squid ink pasta is a great choice for the dish. You MUST try the broiled clams next time.

Hi D&S - love the opening travel portion - you could show more. OMG, Cosmo added a queue to the registration/check-in area! They have never had that and we always hated that you had to pick a line and hope it went well. Love the view from your room. Excellent that you take advantage of the tier matching. Istanbul was another funny one, we've walked by it SO many times saying we should try it and never do so maybe next trip. Loved the strip cruise to tier match and makign sure you maximize all your Vegas options. Looking forward to the next one 😎

There will be a ton of us there the first week of November (Zorkfest) and we plan of using the F&B at FB then!

Ugh…we know! It was the first ‘luxury hotel’ we stayed at many years ago and feel in love with it. Can’t tell you how many more times we stayed there with friends and family and the memories made. It will be interesting when everything is said and done.

We are blaming you guys for this... We were booked for a quick 2-night trip for Mother's Day weekend... Love Carbone! Hard to get a reservation the last couple of trips. On a family meal we had there, one of my sons (wise guy) didn’t like the bottle of wine we ordered and complained about it. Our waiter sent for the wine expert who highly recommended a wine. My son said sure, not asking for the price. When I asked for the bill (mom, me, always pays!), the bottle of wine was $500!!!, more than the entire meal for seven people! (Luckily, two of my sons paid for it.) This has become a funny family story. Love Vegas!

Ok so I am halfway through editing my vlogs and needed a break, so what do I do, I watch your vlog lol. Apart from feeling very inadequate as a trainee vlogger it was great to see you guys doing it how it should be done. Great Video. My husband and I watch both of you on you tube all the time. This time I noticed a swelling on the right side of your neck that you might want to have checked out. I had a swelling just like that and the Doctor tol me it was a cyst. He watched it for some time and it eventually got to be about 4.6 cm.. It wouldn't hurt to have it checked just in case it's serious. Thanks, Pat Romo

Question for you, how did you get the platinum at Caesars?
This tier matching stuff is so confusing and what all you need to even start the matching.
Hey, Brittany! So definitely get a players card at any players club desk in the casino and use that when you’re gambling.
For Caesars, we hit the second tier (Platinum) and used that to tier match at Wynn to their Platinum card and then took the Wynn Platinum to Fontainbleau to get Gold level.
I know…a lot of info… look at the Wynn and Fontainbleau website to get some more details for which cards work for tier watching and what benefits you get. In most cases, it is definitely worth it to tier match when casinos offer it. The amount of food and beverage credit you get is great value!

The bar experience was great! We follow Nick on social media and he looks like a blast too! We were able to charge dinner back to the Cosmo so that was a plus as well!

What dates in April was this, me and my husband have just got back from a trip and the whole holiday consisted of 'I wonder if we will see the people from DaverrasonTravels' (you are our favourite Vegas vloggers) and its killing us that you were potentially there the whole time 😅. Yep we were there, left on the 26th haha. What's worse is the dinner option for the same day was Carbone or Din Tai Fung and we chose the latter (which was delicious tbf) We are from the UK so no other plans for 2024 but you never know 🤭. Hope you have a great time!

As time goes on MGM is ruining Cosmo. It used to be a premier property, but the last three trips I've had issues with facilities and service. The line at check in is ridiculous and I'm a platinum card holder.
Yeah, I am worried about how much more it will change. That’s one reason we have started really playing more at Venetian/Palazzo and Wynn/Encore.

We have a higher tier with other resorts since we play there more. Wynn and FB are tier matching so we took our Caesars Plat to Wynn to tier match to their Plat, then to FB to tier match to Gold.
We play at a lot of properties while in Vegas so might as well take advantage of tier matching when there.

We use the Caesars credit card for purchases. It helps build tier credits.

Running around Tier matching is a waste of valuable Vegas time... If you didn't earn it you won't get the comps...

@@DaverrasonTravels If you tier match to a certain level it might get you free parking or no resort fees maybe a free night or two. But real comps are going to be based on play and not tier status. Ask your casino host, I just asked 2 of mine and they both said the same thing.

@@DaverrasonTravels when you check out and nothing hits your credit card. LOL… 5 nights in a suite, picked up from the airport, free play, show tickets, and all meals covered. Believe it or not that isn’t hard to get if you focus your play with one company.

We wanted to tier match for a couple reasons: 1) higher tier off the bat entices us to play more at a property. 2) some resorts have an aggressive match offer. Fontainebleau offers $150 F&B with their Gold players card (matching from Wynn Platinum). This makes us want to spend more time at the FB resort to build tier credits while having an amazing dinner. Between my wife and I thats $300 in F&B just for walking over to tier match. 3) Wynn offers 2 complimentary Masterclass session with Platinum for 2 people. Masterclasses range in price but we took advantage of that and got 4 tickets to a Masterclass that was ~$1000 complimentary. Between both there are other perks that are available to you IF you are there to maximize the value.
I agree, spending time building tier credits with one or two properties is probably ideal, and generally thats what we do, but when tier matching is offered (which isn’t often) we love to take advantage of it to get ‘some’ of the perks!
