- The Potential Glitch aka The Loan Out Glitch is alive and well in FIFA 18 career mode with a few new wrinkles. Today I teach you how to hack FIFA 18 career mode to make almost any young player have the potential of Neymar. WARNING some might consider this cheating, as you can make a lot of your players overpowered for cheat. But if you think that Rashford deserved 92 potential over his original 88 potential, this is the glitch for you. Hopefully this helps you out.

Hi 👋 I just got fifa 18 on PS3 and on career mode when I got to purchase players, I noticed most players don’t have overall ratings compared to prior fifa games, specially fifa 11 where you can see overall much easier. Is there any way to view this for all players or not at all. Super frustrating 😅😅 if for some reason you are not able to see the overall on all players, do you know upto what fifa version so they actually show the overall? Any help I would appreciate it!

After you loan a player you gonna have to wait a few weeks before recalling him in order to see "da magic" happen.
the percentage goes up according to points gained on a monthly basis but if the player gets injured or no playing time it can drop points like an older player would but not as drastically

I think it just doesn't track a players progression while they're out on loan and when you recall them it shows you how the loan spell goes

Is anyone else unable to loan players after recalling them, or when you buy them? I should be able to loan players right when i buy them but Fifa 18 effed everything up :(
If you select negotiate in the transfer hub on the loan offer you can change the length and % of the wages you pay

How many games do you leave the player out on loan for ideally? How many times do you loan the player out for in a season?
05 01 you leave them out on loan for 1 day and you can loan them out as many times as possible
in your next career mode can you buy leko and/or van bergen and loan glitch them/him, love your vids, you are one of my favourite youtubers

I’m pretty sure EA wanted loans to have a possible effect on players like they can in real life. The glitch is that it works when they don’t go through the entire loan spell.

Does the club that you loan your player out to have an effect on the potential rating? For example if you loaned a player to Barcelona vs a Championship side.

Or you can just save before you recall them, recall them, then back out of career mode if the potential was no good and repeat this process until you get the desired potential

That happened to me many times. I had players go up in value and down in potential and other way round.
You realise this isn’t a glitch, it’s an easily abusable feature.

I’m super late but i really think that the loan feature is meant to be used as a potential boost. I’ve noticed it’s flakey on instant recalls but when i wait a transfer period and the youth player progresses at least one overall his potential his worth is always higher when i recall him

After you get the players to “Potential To Be Special” should you train them or let them grow on their own???
I do both, play them for cup games and devote 2-3 training slots for them. If you really want to see the, grow, play them in less crucial games, cup matches and devote all 5 training slots(this will make them very well rounded)

All i did was play 3 seasons and dont realise Rashford goes from 77 rated to 90 then Madrid bids 60M for him (btw this was in Fifa 17)

I've read you can only see potential status, e.g. 'showing great potential', up to age 21 but you said 23 - can anyone confirm?
After 21 it will stop saying anything like that but you can still boost their potential up to 23. After 23 you can't boost potentials anymore
So for example, you have a 22 year old that just says "at club since 2013" but you know they have potential of 86. You can still boost their potential by seeing the price go up even if the status doesn't say "an exciting prospect"

Annoying... out of interest, do you know what age it is when the "Promising player" message is no longer displayed on players in the training hub with 75+ pot?
msrajjc2 you can still see potential statuses at 23. I think it depends more on how close to that potential they are.
Lewis Baker just hit 23 for me. Because he had next to no growth on loan, he's only 76 overall but he's still got the showing great potential status. He has 82 potential. If he was at 79 or 80 overall he likely would just say "at the club since xxxx".

Dude u shud do a video on youth academy.i havnt seen any vids..i think alot of ppl arnt aware of just how critical this is 4 creating world beaters..if u find a promising prospect usually at 55-60 rated and use all 5 training drill from the moment u get him his stats rocket really quick.do it 4 a whole season.by time he is 16 and eligable for the 1st team squad.thn carry on training him u can easily have a lv87 rated player by time he turns 17.stats vary depending on how much u train but it's super easy.i had so many players rated 90+ on Fife 17 by time thy were 20

Invest in a gd scout 5* preferably as thy will bring back 94 potential.lower scout will bring lower ovrl potential.only sign 15 yr olds.this way u have a whole yr to train thm b4 thy r even eligible to b sign to ur squad.u can probs boost them to 80stats by time their 16th bday.use 4-5 training drills every week on thm.personaly I use 4 and the 5th 1 to train a 15 yr old gk as thy grow incredibly quick jus by selecting gk training drill.this way u get 2 awesome youth player hu will go on to b the best players in ur squad by time thy r 20.not even mbappe,rashford or Gabriel Jesus are as gr8 a a well trained youth player..if ur not convinced yet create a save point and jus sim 3 months of training drills to test it and u will c. On fifa 18 I currently have an 18 yr st rated 82 and and a cdm 80....gd luck

Most players who get that status are too old to have their potentials boosted. You can only boost up to 23 y/o.

it's a player that either is at their growth level or will only increase a 1 or 2 overall.... or finally its one who is going to only drop in overall depending on age like for example.... simon mignolet at Liverpool, he 'has that special something' which if you look at sofifa.... he is 81 and his potential is? 81

I made it with 26 years old , before i loaned the player i saved it he went up in ratings and with the shortest player on the game his potential is 71 i got him to 79 even 80
