Mine is on the way. As a geology student, this was a neat little must have. Nerdy little knick knacks.

Very straightforward design and construction. I like that.

What I've run into on the 2 CJRB and 1 Artisan knife I've got during disassembly, is that where the blade meets the liner lock, the blades are burnt (discolored) and have a bit of a burr. The CJRBs also has some burrs in the liners. Once I got those smooth with ceramic stones, they're not too bad, but does raise concern for fit and finish and possibly blade tempering. I like the designs quite a lot though (CJRB Briar and Centros & Artisan Shark).

im really thinking about this one. i really want a ball bearing thumbstud edc that looks good. i kinda wish they made a stainless version due to my humid climate but d2 is still alright. ik stainless doesnt hold a edge as well but i would still like to see it in this knife.

My two Artisan Cutlery knives (same company as CJRB) came dirty as well, ran a lot smoother after cleaning. Also noticed the "buffing wheel" marks on one of their liners too

I might have gotten lucky with mine. Perfectly centered, smooth as butter, flies open, and almost magnetically snaps shut in the last few mm of closing. I love this knife, and especially at the sub $40 price mark. G-10 and D2 PLUS a nice look?? Yeah, definitely a winner. The only thing that could make it better in my opinion is if the edges of the G-10 weren't so sharp. A little smoothing on the corners would definitely be welcome.

My Feldspar was filthy, when it arrived. It felt like it was running on gravel, rather than bearings. After cleaning/lubing, it runs perfectly smooth.

How did you remove the gravel feeling I have soaked the bearings in alcohol and scrubbed extensively but they are still crustier than a missing sock

I just did a full Nick Shabazz style tear down/cleaning/reassembly. It was definitely worth the trouble.

@@LB-np5zv is there thread locker on your bearings? I was wondering why you soaked them. If there is you might want to try acetone rather than alcohol. If I remember correctly I believe I read where acetone would dissolve the “glue” residue left by thread locker…also shouldn’t hurt the bearings.

Hi Nick. If you could compare knives to watches, what would be the knive equivalent of a SRP777 or SKX. These are my two favourite Seikos after recently jumping into the watch world, and i am just now jumping into the world of knives. Cheers

I had the SRP777 and it was a beautiful piece. Was slightly dismayed at its timekeeping accuracy but still a great watch. I'd say a knife equivalent would be a Benchmade Crooked River, Bugout 535GRY-1, or mini Griptilian.

What size torx bits does it take?

Love it Nick…”that’s interesting and lazy”. Classic. One thing to note, some companies that were liberal with their thread locker in the past, have improved recently. I picked up a few Honey Badgers and zero thread locker on all of them. Thought you might like to know that since the one you had years ago was kind of like this CJRB.

That's another thumbstud opener from CJRB. Centros got pretty nice review (contestant for knife of the year 2019 on this channel) and I bought it. It is pretty nice, slick and almost automatic-like, but a little bit too thick and not so slicy (e.g. it more or less tears apple apart instead of cutting it through).
It would be nice to see also some CJRB backflippers here on the channel, probably some of their copper-scaled?

    classic shape.

In comparison to what a lot of the other "entry level" sub branded companies are producing, I feel I feel like CJRB is lacking a little. A slight bump in craftsmanship would lead to some serious budget contenders.
