How does a Vapour compression refrigeration work?
The compressor takes in a low temperature, low pressure refrigerant vapor, and compresses it into a high temperature, high pressure vapor. This high temperature/pressure vapor then enters the condenser where heat is removed to either air or water
What are the four stages of refrigeration?
The refrigeration cycle contains four major components: the compressor, condenser, expansion device, and evaporator. Refrigerant remains piped between these four components and is contained in the refrigerant loop. The refrigerant begins as a cool vapor and heads to the first component: the compressor.

The advantages of vapor compression refrigerator are its (1) capability of removing large quantities of heat with a small mass flow of refrigerant, (2) high efficiency, arguably one of the most efficient refrigeration systems at the macroscale, producing high COP, and (3) the capability of achieving subambient
