“Wealthy people”, “non wealthy people” both still experience burn out and get tired and want to have a change of environment. We all have different ways of being rejuvenated. Some may just visit family, or sleep more, or watch movies or take a break from work… as for the meeting new people, she met new people, it simply means that she hung out with someone else that she hasn’t before I don’t think all meet ups are impromptu. Some may have been arranged by someone else with or without your knowledge, some may have just been you bumping into them on the street. Have you ever thought of the fact that the “non wealthy” people that she met didn’t want to be posted or revealed here? By the way this video is like 3 or 4 minutes of the hours or days she spent on her trip. (I mean personally I don’t even know the person that you people said was popular, I went to the comment section to see other peoples experiences travelling alone and the tips that have worked for them and that they’ll like to share, like safety tips and the likes..)

Traveling alone isn't too bad as then you're controlling where you want to go and sometimes it's best to just go and be like a cloud floating in the sky. I usually travel with friends and family but I also enjoy just winging it and enjoying foods that's native and not what most tourists eat.

The amount of solo female travelers that get stalked and assaulted is actually insane. We should be able to travel on our own without fear but chances are with a low budget, they’re exposed to the dangers of travelling alone more so than on a first class budget. With that said, There seems to be a safety bubble here and I truly believe you would have some beautiful enriching experiences if you got out of it. When I backpacked in Thailand, I made some amazing friendships and ate the best food. Some of the dishes I had were a £1 but I would pay £50 for them because they were so good and I always think that people are missing out by not having it. These experiences were had from stepping out of the bubble.

But effortlessly spending money spontaneously on trips to travel alone just because you feel burnt out being alone in the kitchen. Many people cannot afford this "spontaneity" in life. However, I do believe that the comments are a bit too negative😅 but looks like we're all mostly in the same boat, 'not enough money to enjoy life'
but simply, it's all about channeling your mindset to the things you already have and could enjoy without spending money. It's very rewarding to work for something, save for future travel plans even if it takes years...

    • @isabellachagolla2115
      @isabellachagolla2115 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@mellowblueu you’re right, i mean like the moments where you didn’t plan anything and you just go for it, those moments can end up being something that you hold onto, even if your not alone and you spend those spontaneous moments with ppl you love and care for, those type of moments that become the ones you live with forever are the best!!!
but yes, money does eventually become some sort of “obstacle” from doing many things you want to do in life and can, in some way, prevent you from doing many things in life… but doing what you can and having those moments in your regular life are what i say is the best!!!

I did most of my travelling as an adult solo, some of the best times in my life. With friends? Not so much. For me moving across the country, I decided that I'm getting a first class ticket on a plane (got a very good deal). I worked hard and overcame so much to get to just where I am now.
To see these comments, it's not about the money, it's the experience. Solo travel can help break you out of your shell and foster independence. My first solo road trip helped me problem solve in ways I hadn't had to before. My first international trip alone, the same. I had to navigate things that I had originally had my parents help with (especially my dad). Let's not focus on the "she's rich" but more of a "we all have to break out of a shell" type situation.

I get lost literally wuth things right next to me. For the longest time in the barracks i NEVER went to the food galley during dinner or breakfast because I couldnt find my way there. And its a literal 10 minute walk.
As soon as you block a straight path even slightly.....im....lost.
I have to memeorize the same path to work everyday the exact same way. Coworkers tell me all these routes that i simple cannot understand and NEVER will.
So i will need the best unlimited data in all countries cell phone service. Backup power banks to charge my phone at all times outside and hope my service never drops.
I literally stopped in the middle of a mall once and waited.....for a while in the same spot for a friend to walk back and find me so he could realize im short. Couldnt keep up with him and had no idea where i was.
Anytime i go into a mall i have to memorize the exact distance angle and lane to get back.
I do not just arbitrarily waltz around aimlessly. I tried that once like people suggested and got lost for hours and never made it to the place.
I cannot and will never be able to do it. Walking one way down a straight path looks completely and utterly different to me walking the same path backwards.
I do not flip routes and shapes in my head. I see things and remember scenes exactly as they are on that exact angle. Being on the left side of the road can even make q big difference if the angle im viewing is too sharply different.
If someone drops their plans on me for a whole different country, I HAVE to drop mine. I dont really get a choice.
This advice is so nauseating and infuriating to me. This isnt something i realized until i was an adult. The ability to flip landscapes in your head is something i thought people jjst trained.
Turns out you have to be born with it.
I do noy have this ability as do many others.
I can read some complicated comology, understand very difficult equations and interpret science know how into commoners speak so that even brain dead sally can understand how a wormhole actually works.
But that? Traveling alone to a different country? I need to be filthy rich first so i can have my own perosnal translator and guide.
I already have to memorize specific routes for just daily tasks. NEVER going to happen.
Also never travel alone in the middle east. NEVER.

I got lost twice, walked down a highway to try to find my way back to the hotel, wound up in a Meyers store at 3am, contemplated taking a nap in an empty building (Idk what it was, some sort of miniature temple?), had all sorts of fun at Universal Studios (also got lost and thought the one way highway was the only route back to the city), got in a taxi with the funniest Singaporean dude ever (asked me questions like "why you single?? You so handsome!" and other bangers like "are you married? Why not?? You so handsome!"), checked out Marina Bay Sands (check it out: it's awesome 👌) and spent the last two days watching the same movie in the same cinema three times in a row cuz it was awesome and tickets are mega cheap 😍

Since my first time traveling, I did it solo. Traveling alone makes me learn more. Because when we are with family and friends, we always stick on the plan we make together. But when alone, we have more chances to explore places and meeting new people along the road.

For anyone considering on traveling alone please remember to check what's currently going on in that country and in that environment when it comes to political and social unrest. It is an amazing idea and definitely life fulfilling to travel to a safe place by yourself and experience that however it is also very very dangerous and is actually advised not to travel by yourself to an environment you've never been to because of all the horrible things that can genuinely happen to you especially if you are young and a female. So please remember to do your research and stay safe 💜

about burnout… i had the same exact feeling a couple months ago. i play the harp, have been super committed to music, and am studying at a high level music school. i have had many waves of burnout periodically but this time it was to the point where i loathed the idea of touching my instrument and practicing at all. i kept telling myself i wanted to quit. it was especially hard because i’ve been playing for 10 years and its become a part of my identity (like cooking did for you!), so letting such a big part of me become something that i hate was really hard. so long story short i was able to do small things and tinker around with fun songs i love and enjoy, which made me remember why i love playing the harp. burnout is real, burnout is hard. make sure to take a break, step back, and admire how far youve come and why you started. you can do it!!

I've flown overseas a couple of times, but mostly, I drive around the country. I boondock in my SUV, cook on a Korean stove, and meet really interesting people in laundromats and truck stops.
