There is plenty of room between missiles on the firebird racks to get that much to fit. They put a bunch of space in between launch tubes. Of anything remove the housing and make them rails Also launching missiles at fully shielded targets is silly, they count as ballistic so the overall damage is reduced. Further stack on trying to fire from the correct angles vs the target, most of the missile relies on AoE, if you hit a tailfin it will be less devastating than if you subtarget and hit components. Yes they are still a 50/50 hit but they can be a decisive finish to opponents in a group fight
I bought the veterans Day F7A military hornet upgrade, they sold for $20 one day only sale back in 2013. Which is now an F7A Mark 1 ship, I also now own the F7A Mark II as well.
The roof of the assault will open. Thats the whole gimmick of the ship. I think its a upgrade to the cargo variant and the note isn't included in the literature because its assumed its included in the base. i hope you guys are 100% wrong or the assault isn't half as useful as the base.
The F7C MK1 was always meant to be removed. When they first presented the MK2, CR said that it will be nice if players keep the old anyways. The veterans upgrade is what really matter to have the F7A MK1. The second MK1 that matters is the "wildfire", is on honor to a Captain of SQ42. The hearth seeker is $205 garbage.
If CIG wants to have an MMO with high concurrent player counts, that's at odds with long ship claim timers. Why and even how, in some cases, would players continue in-game during the period when the timer is counting down?
Ironclad won't kill Valkyrie. The other one is a dedicated dropship with relatively snappy manouvering (and hopefully some day proper shields/armor) and the other one is a flying brick. I would never trade my Valk to Ironclad but instead have both for their different use case
Why Hornet Mk I and Hornet Mk II? To set the precedent so that when the 600i re-work comes out it will be a Mk II that has to be upgraded to, for money, from the current 600i; that's my speculation.

CIG desperately needs to come up with a way to generate funds aside from ship sales. I am really worried because the ships on offer get really overcrowded by now. The Ironclad is a good example because it basically renders almost a handful of ships obsolete if we're being honest. And of course one can argue this one does this a tad bit better yada yada yada. But overall the Ironclad represents another significant jump in power for money. And that is a worrysome development in my opinon. Maybe I am kind of a naysayer in that regard but still^^
People think Devs are making the ships for us to buy, but instead they are selling us the ships they will make anyways. The goal Devs have in their vision is not that of a Flight Simulator but that in a Social Simulator, and if they want to achieve the level of immersion they hint in their promotional videos they can't rely on players. Most of the Players will be those dudes who sprint all day across the city in their spacesuits and drop boxes and bottles. That's an immersion killer, that's Fornite stuff. The verse needs Citizens who behave like Citizens and only NPCs when these function can do this. The ships are the means to populate the verse with all their factions and cultures and tech and aliens with their own cultures and tech.

Yeah... I'm gonna have to hard disagree about claim timers. The only time people are back within 2 minutes is when they are in a starter ship, at best. Some ships are over 30 minutes already. They're talking about days or months? We sit here and talk about trying to get people into the game and casually talk about a feature that would completely destroy 90% of peoples enjoyment. If people have to wait more than 20 minutes for ships, especially starters or ships

The thing I hate most about the retaliator now is that the dorsal and ventral airlock hatches are still visible on the exterior.
