As someone who's put thousands of hours in mkx hearing the button mashing is so nostalgic. Playing the game for the 1st time when I knew nothing and had so much to learn was so awesome

D'Vorah, Baraka and Reptile are basically good guys. Extinction of almost an entire sentient race is kind of a bad thing and survivors will do what they can. And with Reptile, hes the last of his race story wise.

mileena sounded childish in 9 cause technically she had the mindset of child beingly newly born from the flesh pits, 20 years later it’s only natural she matured more from then, she was also somewhat innocent back then too in that she genuinely wanted kitana’s affection, but as of X she’s not that way anymore

Asked Questions about the mkx story
-Kuai Liang is Sub-Zero's real name.
-Hanzo Hasashi is Scorpion's real name.
-They're both in their human forms after they were completely free from Quan Chi's control.
LGBT Characters in MK: Kung Jin, Mileena, and Tanya. During a conversation between Kung Jin and Raiden in the story mode, Kung Jin states that the Shaolin will never accept him. Raiden replies, saying "They only care about what's in your heart. Not whom your heart desires." Also during his interaction with Tanya, Kung Jin will say "You face a Shaolin." To which Tanya replies, "Quite a handsome Shaolin." Kung Jin's response is, "Barking up the wrong tree, sister." This has led many fans to speculate Kung Jin's sexuality. It is later confirmed by the game's director that he is gay. For Mileena, Past Mileena and Tanya was revealed to have a possible past relationship with each other by the writers. Mileena has, and has been shown to have attractions to both sex such as her flirtation with Johnny Cage much to his disgust, her possible flings and affairs with Goro and Baraka as implied by many characters in the game, and possible lover Tanya as shown in her arcade ending in MK11 and the writers confirming her bisexuality. So far in mk there have been 3 confirmed LGBT characters as of now.
-As stated, Erron Black, Reptile, Kotal Kahn, Ermac, and Ferra/Torr are considered neutral characters. Baraka however, his present self is evil, and his past self who allied with past Kitana and the earthrealmers made him turn sides and he became neutral/good.
-However, D'Vorah's primary motive is The Hive's survival, the birth place of all other Kytinn, as she is the last known living member of her species. As such, she will ally with anyone whom she believes will help preserve and revive the Kytinn, including Shinnok and Kronika, betraying Kotal Kahn in the process.
-2:20:55 Sareena is a demon who made her first appearance in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero as a non-playable boss character. She was first playable in Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition for the Game Boy Advance and later in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. She is from the Netherrealm and was an assassin for Quan Chi, but turned against him. Sareena's alignment is good.
-To be fair in mk11 aftermath story, it was revealed that Sindel was evil all along, either as a revenant and her own free will. Sindel still has her villainous traits not only from being resurrected by Quan Chi, but it was revealed she was never on the side of good to begin with. In addition to being a ruthless tyrant, the rebooted timeline turns out to be highly self-centered. Part of the reason she killed her former husband Jerrod is because he felt that he gave up to much of their power to the citizens of Edenia as she felt that as rulers, they should be the ones with all of the power. She also looks down on others as shown when she expresses disgust towards her daughter for dating Liu Kang who she considers a peasent.
-No, Frost and Sub-Zero are not anything romantic like. Sub-Zero is just the former mentor of Frost.
-The reason why Shinnok insisted to bring Johnny Cage with him was because his full of surprises that he beat him the last time they fought, fearing that it wouldn't happen again.

D'Vorah seems to be under the impression that her hive is under attack by something, or someone or everyone and she's just making deals with whomever promises to aid her in their defense and is extremely loyal ally in that regard. Only people that ever aid her in protecting her hive are villains though.
You guys should try Phasmophobia for October. Up to 4 people can play it, however every person needs their own PC and needs to buy the game. It can be played in VR, but if you choose to play on a normal PC screen, headsets are a must. The controls are very simple and it's scariest when you play the game alone.
You play as ghost hunters (detectives). Your job is to investigate a haunted house/asylum/school/prison and based on 3 pieces of evidence derived by the use of specialized ghost hunting tools you determine what type of ghost you're dealing with and then leave so the exorcists can do their job (this part isn't shown). There are a few catches. The biggest one is that the ghost will at any moment during the investigation randomly pick a person and will start hunting them. The hunting phase lasts a minute in the highest difficulty. Everyone needs to hide or if the building is large enough and you have enough distance between you and the ghost, you can choose to run (ghost is always faster, some types of ghosts are faster than others). Ghosts can sometimes switch targets if they lose sight of their target. So everyone needs to hide during the hunting phase. The building's exterior doors lock during a hunting phase, but anyone that was outside the building during a hunting phase will be safe.
Game sounds cool though we don’t play on PC unfortunately. It’s not on any consoles?

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I wish you would record the play through and upload that, rather than stream it. Interacting with chat makes you miss the story.
We mainly interacted when the other one was fighting though. Other than getting up and down there wasn’t much of the story we missed especially having subtitles on the screen it allowed us to read ahead sort of during certain parts. But we appreciate the feedback and of course are open to trying it different ways. 😊🤗🥳
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames there were some important story bits that you guys definitely missed. For example, why Sonya, Johnny, and Kenshi didn’t want Quan Chi to die and tried to stop Scorpion from killing him. It was because he was the only way they could bring back the other revenants which is why they captured him in the first place. They needed to reproduce the magic that Raiden did with his magic like in the flashback to the past and they couldn’t replicate it if he was dead. Still a good stream though, but I can definitely understand this perspective it’s hard to keep track of a story with no pauses in dialogue in between fights and a live chat!

I don’t know if anyone noticed but the character Tanya was plucked out from another game with exact same moves, outfit and weapons, she originally came from the game killer instinct least in mkx she better drawn And from what I remember she was in the mortal kombat deadly alliance, after mkx and mk xl she was completely removed from the mk11 and mk 11 aftermath as a playable character

im not blaming you, you guys did your best. its much easier to play competitive online games while engaging with the chat. but single player campaigns like the MKXL story require constant attention.
you missed the 5 year flashback announcement on the screen and therefor didnt realize that it was the 5 years in the past kotal khan there with dvorah, reptile and ermac. he looked different because it was a flashback and he wasnt the khan yet but just a former henchman of shao khan. then in the 10 year flashback with sonya and johnny fighting quan-chi you missed sub zero, scorpion also turning back to normal. in the outworld part in the beginning you missed some parts of the cassie squad negotiating with kotal khan, it was a scene to depict how the cassie squad finally works as a team together.
overall it was very entertaining to watch you guys play and follow the story. like I said, I know its not easy to engage with the chat while following cutscenes and I absolutely get you guys want the chat to feel included.
some interesting info about MKX.
MK9 was the first MK game under the Netherrealm studio and thats why they rebooted the whole story.
MKX, the sequel and 2nd game of NRS played in the future 20 years after the events of MK9 as you know.
and the theme of MKX was “a new generation”.
Liu Kang died and was revived as a mindless revenant. So was Kung Lao.
Sub Zero retreated and stayed away with his clan. Scorpion only served as a mentor. Sonya was a general and Johnny leader of his daughter Cassie’s squad. So the original main characters all got old and served supervising roles without being at the front of the conflict. They passed the torch betting everything on the new generation. The new main characters were the new generation kids Cassie, Jacqui, Takeda and Kung Jin. And all 4 of them were the children or students of the original main characters.
Cassie Cage the daughter of Johnny and Sonya representing Sonya’s Special Forces. Jacqui Briggs the daughter of Jax Briggs also representing the Special Forces. Takeda Takahashi as the son of Kenshi and student of Hanzo Hasashi, formerly Scorpion representing the Shirai Ryu and last but not least Kung Jin, cousin of Kung Lao representing the White Lotus Monks.
The story is basically MKX - “The Next Generation”. Something which a lot people can miss with all the flashbacks to the MK9 times and back to MKX 20 years in the future and other flashbacks in between. MK9 was the story of Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kenshi, Jax, Johnny etc saving Earthrealm. MKX is the story of Cassie Cage and her squad saving Earthrealm. You might have known this already but its quiet interesting to think about the studios attempt to bring a new generation of younger warriors. It didnt get a good reception so they went back to the main characters by merging the past and the future in MK11 as you know now. Unfortunately completely deleting Takeda and Kung Jin from the cast. I hope you keep enjoying MK! Thanks for the entertaining stream!

In MortalKombat most of the moves involve using the down then forward or back or side to side ending with the basic buttons. that’s what I tried when I played. But I love the videos! Can’t wait to see more!

I know this was posted so long ago, but I have to make it known Dvorah was one of my favorite characters from this game. Really I loved all the newcomers that they introduced to MKX, but there's just something about Dvorah's creepy animations and fantastic voice work that connects with me.
Kung Jin's actor is Johnny Yong Bosch. He's the voice of Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach.
And he was in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers & Power Rangers: A Turbo Movie.

I hate how the 2021 movie changed so much of the storyline, and it confuses people new to MK who play the games' stories for the first time.
The younger Sub-Zero, Kuai-Liang, is actually a good guy, with his own agenda, but still fights for his realm. The one in the movie is Bi-Han, the first Sub-Zero, who is more neutral, but in the games, did NOT kill Hanzo (Scorpion)'s family. That was Quan Chi and Sektor. Bi-Han isn't really evil until he turns into Noob Saibot.
So please, stop hating on Kuai-Liang. The man only wanted peace in this game. If anything, Hanzo is the one who's a jerk, freeing and killing Quan Chi before Raiden was able to free Liu Kang and co. from his spell. AND also allowing Shinnok to be freed too. Yeah, I hate how they made Scorpion in this timeline.
Seems odd for them to change the story so much for the movies 😕 Which is why we still think it should be a TV show on HBO and would be way better 🤩

I was sitting up here screaming "PAY ATTENTION" 🤣, don't get me wrong I'm not hating you guys for it I still enjoyed your playthrough regardless, I just hope you take this as little constructive criticism for the betterment of your future playthroughs.
