The bass drums at least are going through the PA, and the camera mic is picking that up. But otherwise I completely agree, it's great to hear what such an elite drummer actually sounds like in the room, without all of the usual processing and sampling.
George is definitely an inspiration to all drummers, his technique is SOO clean and precise, and the speed he can do with both hands and feet is amazing.
