wow, so nice, we'd never get something like that here in the UK but I do have an anosmum coerulea which looks similar to the last one you showed. It's one of my favorite orchids because it's a lot of fun to grow it apart from the flowers which are fantastic too of course. It's just amazing how it can grow a 2 meter long cane in a growing season of +-8 months(although mine has only reached a meter so far). I call the buds chilli peppers because they look very similar to chilli peppers when they are developing and grow so fast in absolutely no time. Considering how big the buds get which also amaze me every time, they develop from tiny stumps to fully open flowers in 5 weeks time here. That is fast compared to many others, even phalaenopsis can take many months to develop flowers. It's one of those orchids where it will have grown and done something the next time you check compared to other orchids that can go dormant for months on end and seemingly do nothing for a long time.
Aloha Tom! I totally understand. I also like how they produce so many keikis 🥰 They are easy to propagate and they definitely grow very quickly. Not to mention their beautiful fragrance. They aren’t the prettiest thing to look at when their leaves are turning yellow and falling off but when they bloom, it’s all worth it 😍
Hi Kelly, my Home Depot only has phalaenopsis, which I love but nothing more. I’m going to check out S&W orchids to see if they ship in my area, South Florida. Thanks for the road trip and beautiful pics of Oahu 🥰

In Australia we have a store called Bunnings which is similar to the store featured here. I have never seen large orchids like these in our local Bunnings. We are lucky if we get a 1 year old seedling, but nothing as lovely as these.
