BOQ stands for Bill of Quantities. It is a document used in construction projects and other contracting works to list all the materials, parts, and labour (with cost) necessary to complete the project. BOQs are typically prepared by quantity surveyors and are based on the detailed drawings and specifications of the project. They help contractors to accurately estimate costs and submit bids, and they provide a clear basis for comparing different bids from suppliers and subcontractors. BOQ is never created by the vendor. Here the client prepares the BOQ for a project by his quantity surveyor. The client monitors the vendor's bill according to the previously prepared BOQ so that the estimated quantity does not exit. Vendor tries to keep his scope of work within that BOQ. Here, if the client-contractor-subcontractor relationship changes, the client provides the BOQ to the contractor. Sometimes Vendor farm prepares BOQ before bidding to define scope of work or their rate quotation & used to again to subcontract the work.
GSB minimum thickness of each single layer generally 150 mm when used smooth wheel roller, besides 200 mm when used vibratory roller. but the thickness of the compacted layer does not exceed 100 mm (As per MORTH...Clause 401.3.2) That is we can give minimum 100mm compacted thickness after considering compacting factor. Let's say we have designed 200 mm thick GSB layer. There we will lay this double layer. There we can give double layer by considering compacting factor. If it is less than 100 mm, the aggregate will be crushed due to maximum aggregate size 75 mm which passing 100% from 75mm sieve. So 75 mm aggregate is not available. So 53 mm size aggregate is from 40-60 mm size range aggregate. So minimum 100mm compacted thickness can be given.

@@abhijitpaswan ### Bill of Quantities or Schedule of Quantities This is a complete list of all items of work involved in connection with the estimate for a project, with the description, quantity, and unit of rate against each item of work. These are filled up in a tabular form similar to the abstract of estimated cost, but the rate and amount column remain blank. The bill of quantities, when multiplied by the corresponding rates of the items and totaled, gives the estimated cost of the project. Such a bill of quantities is provided in a tender form for item rate tenders. Contractors put up their own competitive rates and calculate the totals to offer their estimated amount to complete the whole work. The bill of quantities is also required to calculate the quantities of different materials required for the project. Conclusions: 1) BOQ including the estimate required for tender documents. 2) BOQ also prepared for claim their (contractor or vendor) remuneration for the work, this is also known as 'Bill' I hope your doubt is clear now.
