    in really bad weather can you sleep in the bed/truck rather than the tent?
    trying to make my mind up between Tundra/Tacoma with super pacific as that's like 14k, or a truck cap + roof top tent at about 10k, or a Jeep Wrangler 4dr with the rear seats deleted / goose gear sleeping platform for inside sleeping, with roof top tent... But that must be about 10k again for all the stuff... What you reckon? :D

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Since I've had so many different builds, I'd rather have the 4k in fuel to travel. I'd get an RTT and cap... but that's my 2 cents. The only difference is the pass-through. I had a build-out with that goose gear system, so it was necessary. I don't own this truck anymore. I reverted to an 80 series and will be getting an RTT...

    I’m looking at buying a rebel or power wagon, thinking that maybe the power wagon is a little more than I realistically need.

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a contender until I realized it’s more money for not much I needed. Plus the fuel economy is terrible off the lot. I’d suggest a 2500 diesel if you need a 3/4 ton

    Does the water heater have to have exhaust to exterior? I am on the waitlist for a Super Pacific, and planning a water heater/water tank setup similar to yours.

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      water heater didnt need to be but it does need ventilation the door is usually open anyways if in use.

  • @pytheus
    @pytheus 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Wow!! One of the best builds ever, from exterior to interior!! Bravo!! Couple questions: where do you mount your spare with the motorcycle at the back, which begs to ask, if you installed a dual swing away with a tire mount, could that motorcycle mount be made to work? What is your interior toilet choice? And, finally, is there an insulation layer for the super Pacific lke the ones that AT Overland has, and can a rack be placed on top of the wedge to hold some white water boats that would not have to be removed upon opening?

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      wow thanks man! So my spare fits a 35 deflated in the original location under the bed! it does stick down a bit but much better than a swing out which i wouldnt be able to use with the moto carrier. there isnt anything on the market for a swing out moto carrier / tire combo. I
      I have a reliance toilet. just one of those bag type ones. no insulation unfortunately. but im sure you can get crafty.

  • @TMWanish
    @TMWanish ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you ever feel you needed an additional fan added for ventilation on hotter days or were the window vents effective enough?

  • @arturv83
    @arturv83 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you need to buy the Joolca quick release bracket in order to attach it to the molle panel?

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no but I had to drill holes to use nut / bolt. the bracket would be way easier.

  • @GrablifeCO

      I just got one from amazon, basic water tank stored in the goose gear system.

  • @TobyCostaRica

    5:45 I assume that tells you solar power generated? Curious what kind of wattage it is putting out since I noticed the panel was covered. A small amount of shade can dramatically cut solar power. Beautiful, top notch build!

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      30 amp max, but no issues with the solar panel because it has special shade cells that divert the power. its quite efficient

    Great vid series on the build out. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 myself and will be installing an AT Habitat. Are those GooseGear products specific to the RAM bed? Are you using the GooseGear universal plate system for the truck bed?

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The goosegear system is specific to the camper. but the plate system is for the the 6.4 bed.
